    Cardiff Presentation

Mine too but it did have a nominal price of £7! I did enjoy myself but I'm assuming someone from BSI reads this forum as several suggestions in the past have been taken up so I just thought maybe we could help them improve . Call it a customer satisfaction survey

    Cardiff Attendance

Sue, I'd provisionally book a room NOW, you can always cancel if necessary . We booked ours on Saturday morning out of the city and ever since have been trying to find rooms closer to the centre with no luck...unless you want to pay £100+.
  3. Apologies Stokie will edit the post now. THat's what comes of trying to cram reading the forum into a 20 minute break

    Next Year's Gp

Old Saint, I'm sorry you had a bad experience with the stewards but it's a bit unfair to tar them all with the same brush. Just to redress the balance I'd like to say in 5 years we have found the stewards to be helpful, considerate and more than helpful and without their help our party would find it very difficult to enjoy the GPs at the MS. Not had any dealings with the Heddlu tho .
  5. I'm with Stokie on this one. I do not stand for God save the Queen. Why should I ask a "supreme being" (if there is one which I doubt) to save just one person. I stood for the Welsh anthem and I'll stand for Rule Britannia or Land of Hope and Glory. I'm just not a monarchist does that make me ignorant too EDITED for reasons of accuracy

    Grand Prix Competition

Amazingly I'm still hanging in there Any chance I can have the odds for the next GP ref being a ***** and me not recognising you for the 4th time In which case I'll have 20 credits on each. Reckon I would be on a cast iron certainty
  7. I thought George was 3rd in the second heat, at least I'm sure that's what they announced. Could be wrong tho as my ear plugs were already in use
  8. I really enjoyed watching the juniors. They took to the track at 1720 by the way. You could see by their body language and gestures how much it meant to all of them to ride in the MS. OK the races weren't the most thrilling I've ever seen but those lads will never forget the day, and to be honest neither will I. I really felt for that poor lad whose engine died on him in the second race (didn't catch the name and wasn't in the prog).

    The Ref Is A Clown.

Not seen the TV or read the rest of this thread yet but IMO the Ref was appalling, he spoilt the whole evening and has more or less knackered the series for the rest of the year. All refs make bad decisions, but he wasn't even consistent. Arrogant git EDIT now read the rest of the thread and Tony R was roundly booed on the 4th bend with quite a few people making "dive" gestures every time he came round. I personally thought his reception at the end, once he won the meeting was very muted, certainly 50% of the people near me on the 4th bend did not applaud etc.

    Juniors At Cardif

We were first in the stadium in 2003.....we have a secret weapon...the wheelie bin

Who are you calling a nobody At the prices BSI are charging I shall be there as soon as the gates open

    Excititing

Sorry all the above predictions ruled out as they lack 2 essential qualifications
  13. I do my best every year to belt out the Welsh anthem as tribute to my Welsh family connections, at least this year thanks to SCB it might actually sound Welsh I don't wear ear plugs for no reason

    Cardiff Bay

We went to Cardiff Bay in 2003 and thoroughly enjoyed it, found the bus easily and from memory they ran about every 10 mins or so. Well worth it if you are happy to give up some drinking time

    Cardiff Castle Query

Tis the first hostelry after leaving the Castle Nevs. Corny would have to be really desperate to spend all day in there but if he is into goats you might like to tell him the regimental goats' name is Shenkin
  16. Anyone know if there is a ceremony at the Castle on Saturday to mark the Queens Birthday. We went last year and it was very enjoyable and even better, perfect timing....out of the castle and a wander down to Sams Bar via the Goat Major and a couple of other hostelries .

    Cardiff Castle Query

They did last year but it was all over well before noon (may have been earlier but I got a bit confuddled after we left the castle ) If Jemma wants a good run she could always try rounding up the regimental goat
  18. Probably because of the scarcity of rooms in Cardiff on GP weekend, so people book well in advance on the off chance they might go. I'm not at the moment planning to go in 2006 (don't like new format and it's becoming too expensive) but I shall book the rooms before I leave this Sunday so at least I have the option if I change my mind in 2006. I would have thought as a fellow female you would understand forward planning

    Cardiff Gp

Or just walk in thro a door someone had left open Agreed it's pretty boring but it's the being somewhere you are not supposed to be that makes it more interesting
  20. And if Jive Jnr isn't going who is going to guide us about the city? That lad of yours can sniff out an ice cream van 400 yards away

Are you accusing BSI of fiddling the figures then Steve?

    A Plea To Bsi

If we could get the frog to eat the ******** sound effects and then get Ole Olsen to kiss the frog, it might just work

    Cardiff Gp

Serious question here folks. For all those that have sat in the middle and upper tiers are the flights of stairs to the seating areas about the same. Just asking as my daughter can manage (with help) the stairs on the middle tier and we feel adventurous this year and were thinking of trying the upper tier but if there are more steps it could be a problem. I'm only talking about the access stairs not the stairways in the seating areas as we always get seats on the row level with the top of the stairs.
  24. I've said it before and been shot down in flames but what the heck . It's Wales...what is Wales famous for?....Male Voice Choirs. Cheap, traditional and as no one really listens to the warm up act anyway (if they are in their seats by then) why not?
