That gives me free rein

Just now, chunky said:What if an athlete pulled a hamstring on a training run? Would you say THAT was ill-advised?
I’d say GB Athletics would have a runner in reserve

My garden could do with some of that drizzle Tatum mentioned

We’ve turned to Eurosport to have breaks from the “ums” and “ers”

We had 3 there yesterday, from reports after Woffinden was injured.

Looking forward to the excuses as to why GB only have 2 riders. That of course if Tatum and Louis notice.
edit, why not let Scotty ride?

Anyone else lost picture and sound.
picture back now. Well it was

As I and many others have paid to watch, I expect the organisers and broadcasters to provide a decent service by at least keeping the commentators informed.

Just now, racers and royals said:No at the track
In that case I’m not impressed

Tatum and Louis. Not sure if they are there. Guess might be the studio as they are very late giving gate positions etc
-

Fine here, well the sound is, not too sure about the words

We used the disabled ( not those specific ones) area several years back. From memory one person could sit with the wheelchair user and the rest of the group sat in the row in front.
Also stewards came out before the gates opened and escorted us to our places, might have changed now. Could be worth ringing the stadium direct and asking.

He drinks rum, he’s not allowed near my vodka

Hubby just said the racing was better when the track was wet. Make of that what you will
-
Just now, Watkins said:Deep breath star lady and have a nice glass of wine
Can’t stand wine, give me vodka any day

You’d be amazed at what I accomplish between races, two sentences are a doddle

1 minute ago, chunky said:That's a feeble excuse...
If it’s that feeble I apologise for having an opinion and assume you will not bother replying to me any more
-
Merely making the point that commentators are not doing the sport any favours. They make the same comments when there has been no rain. This has probably been the best of this years GPs but It’s far from a classic.
if the racing was that enthralling you wouldn’t have the time to keep replying to me

For what is supposedly the best Speedway in the world no.

3 minutes ago, sommelier said:Don't watch it then. simple!
I’m not really it’s on cos hubby is watching, but everyone moans that not enough fans go thro the turnstiles and at most televised meetings the commentators more or less tell you that half the meeting is not good. Hardly going to persuade new folk thro the gate.
Sorry if my viewpoint offends you.

4 minutes ago, chunky said:When you get rain like that, there is no magic wand you can wave; you have to RIDE the track into better shape, and that takes a few races.
Not saying there is a magic wand but for about 90% of televised matches we hear “the track will get better” or “the track will come to the riders”. Basically telling fans you are only going to get half a decent meeting, not exactly a good selling point is it?
-
Keep being told the track will get better. It’s heat 8 and I fail to see where it’s got better, I suppose if it’s better by heat 20 they will be right.
-
Just wondering if I’m the only one who remembers Tatum having tantrums when asked to ride on anything wetter than a slightly damp track
