  1. Think both are a given and you would like to think common sense will prevail.
  2. I genuinely believe that the amateurish way this sport is being run by the ones in charge and there foot soldiers implementing there rules will fast track the death of the sport in this country. Speedway and common sense will never be used in the same sentence until the welfare of the sport is outsourced and run properly by a company with no affiliation to any club. You only have to look at Darts to see the outcome of an outside body taking control.
  3. Regardless of what we say or what your promotion say nothing will ever be proven either way both riders seem to have escaped serious injury thankfully and the match was abandoned, both teams will now dust themselves down and get on with it. Things are always said in the heat of the moment human nature i am afraid.
  4. He has declared himself fit to ride tonight and Sunday no lasting injuries just stiff and sore.
  5. Hardly desperate for points more frustration i would say , but as i said in an earlier post the safety of the riders is the first priority. Frustrated yes desperate definitely not.
  6. I wasn't there but I would find it astonishing if any rider would put himself and another rider (who he is very close with) over a safety fence would it not be more sensible to say it was a racing incident. Or are you blaming Richard because he doesn't ride for your team strange comment to make. I was guilty off a similar comment about JBA but when i saw the incident from another angle I could see I was wrong , so perhaps you should take stock before laying any blame.
  7. So the trainee ref in charge will now go through his whole career wanting to take all the limelight as the Grand one himself was training him. Suppose he will need somebody to take over his legacy of strange decisions once he hangs up his BSPA identity card.
  8. You are technically correct in what you say but surely some degree of common sense should come into it at some point.
  9. Just saw it was McGregor that explains a lot he is the master of the limelight as in wanting to take it.
  10. When you look at things you would have thought the most logical thing to do under the circumstances would have been to declare heat 10 with only the two Glasgow riders left in it or is that too sensible. Stewart not happy it appears, but whilst it may leave a bitter taste it is something you would never be able to prove that the delays were deliberate with the Redcar management disputing them. I would imagine Stewart won't be in any great rush to reschedule going by his comments unfortunately these things happen. Think we have a fair idea what Jose was thinking and his statement was toned down by the censors .
  11. Richard Lawson had a big crash at Redcar tonight and is a doubt for our meeting on Sunday.
  12. Another rule change i have missed i still thought it was 12 cheers for that.
  13. Had only raced nine heats before the big crash in heat 10, as someone has said it was only the two Glasgow riders left in that heat so you would think that the ref could have declared that heat 5-0. Will need to wait on what transpired after that from someone who was there , frustrating from a Glasgow perspective but the main concern was for Coty & Richard as it sounded a horrendous crash glad both managed to walk away from it.
  14. I am pretty sure it his after heat 12 before you can declare a result.
  15. Meeting abandoned after heat 10 due to curfew with Glasgow leading 32 -24 result does not stand.
  16. No need Paulco has always aspired to be more like me now in your eyes he has achieved it lol.
  17. Paulco may well be at it but when i see him Sunday i will ask , but I am just saying how it is.
  18. I don't think this is the formality some are making out or in Scotsmans case reverse psychology syndrome. Whilst Perks is a major loss for the bears this is no gimme even without him any team with Gsrrity, Barker & Wright will always stand a chance.
  19. When i saw the title of the thread i thought Redcar had 3.5 riders missing but it is only 3. But i sympathise wholeheartedly with the Bears, if it was us in the same position i would be less than happy also.

    U-21 Squad

Wasn't aware Perks would be missing how did you hear about this, as far as I am aware Dan riding Thursday and Sunday , albeit we have put the start time back on Sunday to allow both Dan & Richie time to get back.
  21. Replace Sedgeman before he does a Wolbert then.
  22. If you replace more than one rider though you can only build to the points limit . If you replace only 1 it is up to the rider being replaced average. It may still fit as I don't know what there averages are/ will be , come to think of it I don't think I know what anyone's average is.
  23. I have alway's had a soft spot for Edinburgh.

    Berwick 2017 50th Year

Aye the tone has dropped somewhat , and I've not even posted .
  25. Crowd was visibly lower 2 weeks ago , whilst you can never say for certain why it was lower lack of home meeting continuity won't be helping
