All joking aside, like has already been said, we can’t be carrying a 1-5 rider and 2 reserves. I know this season is just about establishing ourselves back in the championship but I just don’t think Sam is quite ready for this league.

You look at the form of Jack smith and think an opportunity has been missed there. Once his temp stint at Scunthorpe is over he’ll be snapped up rapid, probably by Glasgow.

Onwards and upwards, can’t win them all, but how much time is going to be given before a change.

With Ace breaking his wrist last night Jack Smith would be the obvious replacement, what happens with the Complin hearing will decide who he replaces .

Smith riding like he's been told there's a contract available, man of the match only out scored by Harris.

Might be worth experimenting swapping Pearson and Starke at home, Pearson looking much more comfortable.

Leon to me still not good enough, his 2 3rds were very nearly lasts and his 2 wins were heats he should be easily winning.

Leon scored paid 10 from 4 rides which for your 3rd heat leader is more than acceptable.

I agree he is still lacking speed but with our injury/suspension issues he is the least of our worries.

Wow didn't see that coming from smudge. Match winner and no mistake. Just a thought would gilkes and smith fit if worst case scenario needs to replace our reserves? Best wishes to ace hope not broken wrist as updates suggest.

Strange decisions I thought from Oxford TM, hard to judge as wasn't there but not giving a 16 yo a ride for 6 heats when track would be very different seemed odd..as did replacing Killeen and not Atkins after the former had led bomber for 2.5 laps.

How did Leon look? I know times mean little but heat win nearly 3 seconds slower than boughen the heat before seems drastic

Leon looked better tonight but still lacking speed his track craft more than anything got him through.

Think we would have took 12 points before it started and some great racing again.

Sets things up nicely for Wednesday.

And take a bow Jack Smith absolutely superb.

  5. Starkey played a huge part in the engine room last night , his track craft made sure he got into the positions he needed to be.

I have no concerns he will be fine albeit he was riding with Vissing who he was able to let clear off and only look after himself.

This will not be the case with Flint we’re he may need to protect Flint more until he gets dialled in.

Nice to see claus scoring well tonight,  a good bit of practice for when the comets come up to tigger land in 2 weeks time :D UTC

Doesn’t need the practice he has always been a class act around Ashfield.

We would have struggled to win that tonight without him , signing Flint was always a project as he has never been impressive at Glasgow , but I am sure he will improve at his new home track under the supervision of his mentor.

The moment Glasgow got Vissing in for Flint I think Berwicks chances of getting the bonus point went up in smoke.

We had a fair chance before that imo and I don’t think Sedgy will do a bad job at all, he was the best pick of what was available with Brennan away and Nicholls ultimately never takes Championship guest bookings.

Vissing however makes Glasgow extremely strong, I do also wonder why they let him go and brought Leon in but only time will tell if it works out for them.

Bringing Leon in is probably down to 2 things his age and they probably hope there is room for more improvement.

Very sensitive these days Gaz. Only asking a question, which others seem to answer without being offended.

Not at all just plenty on here who seem to get some sort of kick slaughtering a 17 year old kid.

Ace was hard on Cole’s but it was his choice to drop it ,I have seen far worse than that with no character assassination in the aftermath.

This rhetoric about this one is upset or that one is upset because Ace done this or Ace done that is frankly pathetic.

Ace should just continue his progress and if he puts noses out of joint so be it.

All that matters is Glasgow fans are mostly delighted with his progress the rest is just outside noise best ignored.

Not really. Just wondering why he upsets other riders? If it is just racing incidents there wouldn't be an issue, as still learning?

Who cares who he upsets , without seeing last nights incident you have drawn your conclusion and came up with let’s be honest a pile off Sh!te against a 17 year old.

McGregor seen fit to exclude Cole’s as the primary cause as Ace had already passed Cole’s perhaps just perhaps Cole’s spat the dummy whilst the red mist descended.

Not that brilliant. If you didn't wait for him then you would have got a result. So his entrance was pretty pointless in the end!

Ace does seem to upset some of the other riders it seems. Ashton last season and now Coles. Wonder who will be next?

It’s a hard sport if you can’t be competitive then what’s the point ffs.

Who cares who he upsets I’m sure Ace won’t who will be next is a bit of a tasteless comment aimed towards a young kid.

He rode right into the side of Coles going for a gap that didn’t exist.

don’t think Connor took to kindly to it especially coming back from a bad injury and this early into the season. Was just a little shove between him and a Glasgow member of staff.

Where in the stadium were you standing as from we’re I stood it was impossible to tell if there was any contact or not.

I was on the home straight just after the 4th bend.

Yeah thats another crazy thing.  Fans are quick to complain about lack of value at speedway yet when promoters agree to delay 15 minutes to give fans as strong a meeting as they can they get hammered for that too.
I cant believe I am sticking up for promotions but in this case I think they are getting unfair stick (and unlike some I speak out when I think someone is being treated badly)

Agree 100% last time I spoke out at Ashfield is when I bought a pint at the shed kiosk I drank the pint took the empty plastic tumbler back and told her that the Lager was flat.

She said the tumbler was empty and your onto plums to which I replied I know it’s empty but it was still flat.

I thought I was treated abysmally that’s what you get for speaking out.
