Hope we do test you Shads, it's a long drive if we don't. But hope it's a good meeting and all stay safe -
Glasgow V Scunthorpe , Sunday 8th May, 3pm.
Yorkscorp replied to Pogo1's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I follow the team all over the country and would have been there today were it not for mother's birthday! I am thankful for that,as this appears to be the biggest embarrassment of the season - Rob we have a problem!! Hope we can get something resolved otherwise it will be a long season -
I know, nad hope Rob's version is correct
-
In the speedway star today it says the Ryan's visa has been refused. Devastating news!
-
Palm Toft could prove to be a great signing for you. If he can master Kirky Lane and keep his confidence up all at BV will love watching him. He is an all out racer with a great style. who totally lost his confidence last year. Hope it proves to be a good year for both him and BV. Both are due some good fortune!
-
Sure Birks will be at Scunny. Says in Swindon press that he is fixed in premier league. Must be with us surely!
-
Lets take it a step further and just make it simple. 'Not to fall in 2014!' Great to have you back Thomas.
-
Hope you're wrong!

David Howe for Scunthorpe 6.34
-
David carried the team in years gone by but over the last couple of years let himself and the team down by trying to ride when we was obviously not fit. If we get the David, from before his injuries back, then we will have a snip at his current average. I personally would prefer Ash to return as Captain because he seems better at motivating those around him, but of course he has not been announced as in the team YET. Hope it all goes well, Rob has taken the gamble with David and in a way will have to do the same if Ash is retained after his horrific injuries at the end of last year, but after his perseverance with a number of other riders over the years he deserves for it all to to work. Just need rest of team now, hope Ash and Jorgey are amongst them!

Leicester 2014 . Elite
Yorkscorp replied to jim the whipper's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I believe that you have a gem in Max, having watched him develop in team speedway at Scunthorpe. Give him five or six meetings to find the best way around and he will surprise you how good he can be. He is one for the future and no doubt will find the challenge tough, BUT he will take on the challenge and get you some critical points. -
East Of England Showground 2014 (open Meetings Possible?)
Yorkscorp replied to skthecat's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Certainly a great track and great location for travel. Hope it all comes to fruition. -
Hope your team works out as an exciting one to watch. Redcar is my second track for watching speedway.
-
Hope you end up with a strong team. Its great for close local derbies, as long as the Scorpions come out on top!

No Scunthorpe Saints In 2014 But.....
Yorkscorp replied to southern1's topic in National League Speedway
Great potential news for Scunny and the NL.. Its time for a new wave of talent from Scunny to hit the shale scene. One World Champion is not enough we want more! -
Quiet on here. Can't wait for more team news and who will be main team sponsor etc.
-
Another alternative could be David Belligo, he would be on 6.36 so would also fit in that team instead of David, but I am more concerned that to get Ryan at reserve we definitely have to sacrifice Blackbird and I am also very nervous that the same fate may befall Jorgey! To me they should both have been definite starters for 2014 after what they achieved for us last year. Still, Rob always does a great job of the teams he puts together and whoever we have I will be there as usual.
-
Been playing with team options and if Rob is definite about keeping Ryan at reserve we will struggle to get either of these guys in at No. 1. As for a Peterborough riders, all foreign and averages will not fit. Perhaps Greenwood at reserve would open up some options, but again, if Ryan is to be at reserve, we would have to release Blackbird and I think he is worth another try.

Worrall or Morris for No. 1?

British Speedway Promoters Meeting
Yorkscorp replied to dantodan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Agree with concept and cannot understand all of the negative comment. Sure there's lots to be clarified including qualifying riders and who goes where, but its great to see the young Brits being given opportunities that other countries have given to there kids for some time. -
Good to see Josh confirmed on as a starter for 2014.

Soon be time to head off to Scunny, a difficult meeting methinks, especially without Thomas. Hopefully another win in the bag though, but I suspect there might be some nai lbiting on the way.
