how do i find out the year of my gm engine

forgot to mention need one for going to tracks with,willing to pay good money for a decent mechanic!

ive found a massive build up of oil on the bottom of my engine cant tell were its coming from any ideas ?i know its not ideal not being able to see the engine or anything but is there like a common fault like a gasket going or something ?

hi i'm in need of some direction in how to start speedway racing i.e where i can ride,amature events and how to get my name out there.i have come from a long background of motocross racing and road racing so im not a novice on a bike also ive just turned 20 is this to late to start speedway ?????? thanks
