  1. Drop the tactical rides. They are a farce. Two newbies this season thought I was joking when I explained what was happening. They were still laughing about it the next day. They make the sport look amateurish.
  2. Hearty congrats to Scunthorpe, enjoy your win. I think it's only natural for Rebels fans to go over the what ifs and if only's. I've done it often enough myself. Both teams appear to have put on a great show and pulled in a big crowd and they should be congratulated for that. Lets hope all the teams are back at the tapes next season and we can do it all over again.
  3. I didn't think anyone would grudge him his victory after the season he's had and the fact that he's just back from an injury lay off. You just proved me wrong. Put your negativity to one side for a minute and appreciate the guys contribution to the Premier and Elite Leagues this season and remember that luck goes both ways. He broke his wrist coming up to the business end of the season at a testimonial when leading by a country mile. I'd say he was due a bit of luck after that. Have a look over your posts, then sit down and have a word with yourself. Hope the injured guys are OK.
  4. Lawson knows he crossed the line and got away with it. I was in the stand surrounded by Workington supporters and they all seen him cross the line. It wasn't a borderline case and how the ref missed it I don't know. What was he looking at? I don't blame Lawson though. As they say in football, you play the whistle. Some you win and some you lose. He won that one. The losing comes next Friday at Armadale.
  5. I'm two miles from the circuit and although the rain has stopped, they are going to have to go some to get this meeting on, although Doc Bridgett and his track staff have surprised me before. They will be doing their utmost to get the meeting on. We really need a big blast of sunshine.
  6. Heading down from Edinburgh for this one. Not fussed who's riding as long as it's good racing, the rain stays away and no one gets hurt. Oh and Berwick take full points of course. Taking the train, so...
  7. Waiting for the start of Stormy's meeting on Friday, my mate remarked how lucky we had been with injuries this season. In his defence, he is young and not experienced in the folly of tempting fate. I've made sure he never utters that phrase again. Damn sure.

    Glasgow For Sale

I agree. It would be a disaster all round. Edinburgh and Glasgow need each other. Let's hope it's sorted soon.
