  1. Like many others who made the long journey was gutted the rain came right at the opening of the meeting, btw what a good move by Lawson on the back straight he really did have his motor flying. After my fastest speed of 50 miles an hour all the way back to London( weather and traffic at its worst) i was adamant i would just try to get a refund and not return .But when the restaging was annouced and was a one o clock start i got excited and decided ive got to go for it ! Got up the train times and was gobsmacked that the first train dont arrive from London till 12.56 ! ! Am i the jonah ? Hope not cause ive now booked a Saturday night at the Garrison hotel ! I suppose weve got to pay another 4 quid for a programme ?
  2. As others have said , this was a entertaining meeting and was glad i went. Will be returning to watch more Rye House meetings for sure.Impressed with Jason Garrity and you could see his talent on the track.
  3. The track has the potential to be one of the best in the league, and the facilities at Sheffield are top notch. If you get 16 riders going for it, and the track is well prepared, it could be an absolute corker. I like the sound of this and hope Squalls report of the 2011 meeting dont repeat its self !
  4. This will be my first visit to Sheffield and the plrc.As a neutrel supporter is it a good track for passing and thrilling rides ? Cheers misteron

    The Great Crusaders

Im new on here and sorry if discussed before.I first went to Kingsmead in 1975 and loved going whenever i could, being 14 the excitement was brillant.Over the years there was some great riders and difficult to name a all time 7,but here are mine. 1 Rumsey 2 Ferreira 3 Koppe 4 Mullett 5 Banks 6 Kennett 7 Gooderham Was going to mention an away 7 but hard to remember without my old programmes,do remember the Owens were immense there.Any former crusader fans have a 7 and away rider 7 ? Apoligies to all other ex crusader riders for not including you, but thank you all for the great memorys cheers misteron
  7. Thanks Moxey63.After you said it was 1978,i found clips on you tube.Enjoyed watching it even though i remembered none of it haha cheers misteron
  8. HI Can any one tell me if Chris Morton won this meeting ? I only visited White City twice.Once was i think the VW / Daily Mirror event ,was that event held every year that the Rebels where there ? and a Rebels vs Coventry meeting, i again think Ole Olsen broke the track record , anybody know if that was 1976 ? cheers Misteron

    Did I See ?

Thanks RobbieB for the heat details.Yes it was teeming it down.If memory serves me right i even watched it behind the glass windows of the main stand on the back straight which i hated doing as it dulled the noise and blocked the smells
