Presumably there’s room for only one bell ego in your house? Go back to Reading.

    Yep, all those minis.
  3. Bowls. That's your answer. Speedway appeals to old people and so does bowls. There's 5,000 bowling greens in the country and 400,000 players. Alternatively, your answer could be doctors' surgeries, even more old people there.

    ....... or "Poole" for short?

Surely the answer to the new stadium v homeowners debate is for the Council to arrange to have the new stadium built on an industrial site elsewhere? Either a site owned by the Council or one acquired by the current Abbey site owner.

Spot on. That was clearly the problem with the Brit reserves draft system too. If the current league formats continue, NL riders should be eligible for the CL only when they have achieved a 7 point NL average and CL riders for the PL when they have achieved a 5 point CL average. There should be a clear progression. Any less makes them a hazard and risks ruining their confidence.
  7. Yep, we should be deducted 10 points for such a rubbish track. ....... and added 20 points for keeping the same team all season, compared to Leicester and one or two others
  8. Happiness is 46-44 ........ or, indeed, any score where Poole lose.
  9. Total rubbish, except for a brilliant, determined effort from the Robins’ team in awful circumstances. Well done, lads!
  10. Hot and sunny. No chance of a rain off.

I thought it did work. It was innovative and far more exciting than the riders lining up or trundling around the track. There should be more connection with the fans and that was a start.

Nige and Kelvin were brilliant yesterday. They have an excellent rapport, no awkwardness or hesitation and are funny. Far superior to all the stilted, cliched, pseudo-insightful and just plain dull commentaries in the football World Cup.
  13. Poole’s wheelings and dealings now give them a team that would have had a starting average at the beginning of the season of 46.74. Swindon have been forced to make one change and their team would have been 41.93. Poole have now used 12 riders. Is it fair to allow a team to make so many changes and to gain a 5 point advantage over what might be temporary losses of form? Should teams be allowed no more than two tactical changes?

    NO WORD FROM THE BSPA

Yep, they sent a post card saying: “Away on holiday with Star Lady, wish you were at our meetings rather than here, keep spending the money mushrooms”

Stick a number 7 on your back and pop back up there, will ya?

    Leicester Lions 2018

What, the 70s, when you could leave your house and car unlocked and no one burgled you? When you knew your neighbours? When you had to dial your TV like cracking a safe to change channel? When petrol cost 30p a gallon, not £6? Ah, the seventies .....
  18. Blimey. Five minute feature on speedway on BBC Breakfast this morning!!!! And it was good!

    Wolves 2018

Well, at least he’s a Wolves rider through and through, not one of those Poole mercenaries. Bit of a cynical signing though considering he’s turned his back on the UK league and wouldn’t sign at the start of the year. Can’t he get enough rides in Sweden?
  20. Nobody cares what you think. You don’t support a team or go to matches. You are irrelevant.
  21. Tobi was one of Swindon’s two tactical changes in 2017 and he was brought in as an asset, kept for the season and retained this year. How many of Poole’s and Leicester’s team changes this year have come in as assets, been kept and will be retained next year?
