  1. Just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who attended the Fast Freddie Challenge yesterday evening. Obviously with the bitterly cold weather and the poor track conditions it wasn't a superb meeting but there was little that could be done about the weather and luckily we managed to get the meeting completed. Thank you to all those who contributed to an excellent turn-out for Freddie. He was extremely happy with the attendance and he is truly thankful to all those who were at Monmore Green.
  2. The organisers of the Fast Freddie Challenge would like to assure fans that it is very rare for a testimonial meeting to be called off due to the weather. Riders are always desperate to get the meeting on because it is for one of their fellow riders, and it is most likely that they will do everything possible to ride even if the conditions are difficult. In addition, the forecast for Wolverhampton is looking much more positive at this moment in time. Today the weather has been much improved, with only very light drizzle. Tomorrow is forecast to be a little cold and windy but dry. There might be a slight possibility of a few showers, but given that this is a testimonial it would need to be very bad for the meeting to be off. If there is unfortunately no choice but to call the meeting off, normal re-admission will apply. There will be no refunds on the day, but re-admission tickets will be valid for the re-run which will take place on Monday evening if the weather is better by then. A result can be declared after 12 heats. I urge people planning on attending not to be put off by the weather and hope many of you will be at Monmore Green tomorrow to give Freddie the excellent day he deserves. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unfortunately, Nicki Pedersen has pulled out of the Fast Freddie Challenge. However, Darcy Ward makes his first appearance of 2013 in the meeting after answering a late call to ride. Full story on Official Wolves website or www.fastfreddie.se
  3. The eagerly anticipated Fast Freddie Challenge is just days away - and extra details have been revealed about the big day. Before the action gets underway, supporters will also have a photo opportunity with the man himself, Fredrik Lindgren. Two professional photographers will be on hand with Freddie from 3:15 to 3:45, and pictures can be taken, printed and signed by Lindgren for a cost of just £5. Supporters will also get the chance to watch racing of a different kind as eight motocross riders take part in three flat track races around the Monmore Green circuit during the interval. A range of merchandise has been produced for the event, with hoodies available at £30 plus T-Shirts and caps available for £12 and £10 respectively. Other items such as posters, key rings and pens will also be for sale. Finally, a 36-page full-colour souvenir programme has been produced featuring exclusive family photographs from Lindgren's childhood, extensive interviews with some of the biggest influences on his career and four pages with the man himself recalling his ten year Wolves career. Hopefully a lot of you will be at Monmore Green on Sunday!

In addition to the 20 heat format which will see the highest scorer crowned winner, a unique system has been put in place to keep racing competitive throughout. The rider with the fastest time in each block of four heats will win prize money, with Freddie hoping to make sure riders will race to the end through every heat no matter how many points they have previously scored. Lindgren said: “I really want my testimonial meeting to be competitive throughout, and this will make the guys really push it over four laps.” After the meeting an auction will be held in the bar area to sell the race jackets used on the day, whilst British Grand Prix tickets along with two paddock passes will also be up for grabs. In addition, there will be an opportunity to spend the meeting alongside the match referee – and this once in a lifetime experience will be up for grabs on eBay in the near future. Keep your eyes on www.fastfreddie.se for more news on the meeting and details on that eBay auction to sit in the refs box.
