  1. Will the young British riders get the signing on fee that would have gone to the guys they're replacing ? After all their equipment has to improve dramatically if some of their rides are going to be against second strings.

They should do, however they probably wont. Its in the best interests of British speedway of course..NOT

  2. A % of the Sky money should have been invested into young riders, instead of throwing it at overpaid 'superstars'. That opportunity was completely wasted. Its no coincidence that they have decided to encourage the British lads at a time when costs must be cut, and the motives behind it are dodgy at best imo. World beaters wont be produced just because they are riding against each other in the elite lge, world beaters emerge because they are rare talents, like Tai and Loram.

  3. Anyone who thinks that golf is all about 'belting a ball across a field' should consult the 60million golfers worldwide, and ask why they don't play on the pro tours against the tour professionals. The skill levels of a top tour professional golfer are beyond comprehension. Knocking other sports, just because speedway is of little or no interest to 99% of the British public, is not going to change the facts..

  4. have you not heard of the new 'used to be British but isnt anymore' discount.

It better than the old 2.5% British discount - its 2.5 points.

    Nice try Blu!!

  5. Really do hope it's Worrall - he said earlier this week he had sorted two deals, and BV have just announced him ...

After all the criticism of Lanham, he proved himself to have settled in at Foxhall, and was a great team man. On Twitter he sounds genuinely disappointed. If P'borro do get a PL place, Lanham would be a perfect signing for them.

Not sure about Kozza Smith - great team man and guaranteed entertainment, but falls too often.

Yes to Worrall, but a huge no to Lanham at Boro. Kozza is a maybe for me, but your right about falling too often..

  6. Those clubs with a podcast (official or unofficial) could co-ordinate that!! One issue though is that the average age of a speedway supporter puts many of them in the group that don't understand what a podcast, app, smartphone etc etc is!!!!

ps. phone votes to a premium number at 50p a time??????? Tony Millard would be turning in his grave!!! God rest him!! :nono:

    Exotic fruits ??? :o

  7. With Worral and Cook ( Hopefully) signed up the Aces have starting poing of a very usefull team. Now if they can add 3 more of that kind of quaility I fully expect to see them in a comfortable play-off place. Aces to be the team for 14, hows that for an early predication.

Good enough for me, I'm off to the bookies immediately.. ;)

  8. Think what your trying to say is that P'Boros was a lot bigger than ours, so that automatically makes yours faster right? Somerset is also a quick track, and thats the same size as ours give a metre. Im not going to elaborate.

No need to elaborate, just do the maths, its quite simple to do. You clearly stated Poole is the fastest track in the country, when we all know it clearly is not. For once you can back up your opinion with statistical facts, if you so desire.. :D
