  1. There was a big hint in this article but still a shame that it's happened. Never really "got" Rick Frost I'm afraid and will always be remembered as one of the ones who nearly killed British speedway in 2010 and now he has done it to Peterborough in 2013. I do hope that someone comes in as we need all the clubs to survive - sad day indeed.

Agree with most of that, the article made me question his intention to run I must admit, but I dismissed it. Now its become reality its a bloody awful feeling, absolutely awful. If only I could win the lotto this week....

  2. First of all commiserations to Panthers fans. Looks like Frost was too shy to tell his fans personally. A real shame and hope someone comes forward to give their fans a team in 2014.

Many on here have been crowing for Brits to be in the team at reserve. The BSPA have obliged.

The result? Moan, moan. bloody moan. People on here were saying no more rubbish foreign 3 and 4 point journeyman taking up places where Brits could be used. The BSPA obliged. Moan, moan, bloody moan.

Sure Ward V a NL rider would be a foregone but by the sound of it that isn't going to happen. IN three or four years time we might just start to see the budding flower from the seeds sewn in 2014. Teething problems? There's bound to be some but we now have an extra 20 Brits coming into the EL and gaining real experience.

Any team can keep their top men as well. Lets be more positive on here.

Be positive about this news. No foreign journeymen taking up Brits places. Brits have got these places!

  3.

BUT how many that the casual attendee would cross the road to watch? Precious few riders in the EL who actually do put bums on seats and Holder is unquestionably one of them.

Whilst that may be true, there are not enough 'crossing the road', and the survival of domestic speedway is a lot more important than supplementing Mr Holders bank balance..

  4. ########### STOP PRESS #############

Just heard that the Yellow kerb paint plan for 2014 season has been "canned"!!

How about making the races 5 laps? Thats nearly the same as having nearly an extra 5 races..... But wont add much more time to the meeting!!

At some tracks I wont mention, it would be best to have 60 one lap races, cos bugger all happens after that...

  5. Jepsen Jensen would go for the best deal if he was interested in riding in England but he isn't and Peterborough would not be his first, second or third choice.

Bech nearly joined an Elite League club this season and could be taking that option in 2014.

Is the rumour correct that Bjarne could be back at Wimborne Rd next season at number one ?

MJJ would only ride for Boro, he has a healthy deal with Mr Frosts company Readypower. However, you are correct in that he wont be riding in the UK..

  6. And the USA? How many creditable riders do they have in their line-up? This is a country that BEAT us, so rather than make me 'clueless' it is actually very relevant to your claim that nobody could do better.

Now it's a simple question and one which you are refusing to answer isn't it.

That's because he cant, there is no credible evidence to support his argument, hence all you will get is blue tinted waffle...

  7. Bech does not say it is a Weds track, he just said he has been assured any clashes with the Danish lge will hopefully be avoided. Sounds like it could be BV, Lakeside, Wolves or Eastbourne, they are probably the 4 most difficult tracks to master. I have a sneaky feeling that Wolves are favourites, if so he could be a great replacement for fast Freddie at Monmore...

  8. CANNOT early blame Sky for how the money has been frittered away or that British speedway hasn't made the most of its TV exposure.

Someone is to blame for the garbage meetings they show, and their obsession with small trick tracks that provide little entertainment. Have asked many times who picks the Live Meetings, I have my suspicions, but no one has ever confirmed who it is. If TV exposure is to promote the sport, they must show meetings at the best racing circuits from BOTH leagues, as the Prem lge has some cracking tracks...
