Table topping Prem Lge champions and Play off winners, as it should be. Congrats to the Rebels...

Hearing whispers that Cameron will be doubling up next year if the Witches don't take the step back up. Certainly good enough in my opinion, although I would rather watch him at Foxhall in the top flight...

UK's a big place, Swindon wanted him last year so perhaps they'll get their man to retain the good spirit between the two clubs.
I can only imagine the resulting 'love in' that would occur on the forum if that happened..

Interesting article on the speedwaygb site http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.23194
"If we are running..." - that's the biggest hint I've heard that Panthers might not be. Would be a shame if they weren't running.
That's not an unusual quote from Mr Frost, and with the Polish clubs coming over in March I fully expect Panthers to be on track in 2014..

How so? Laguna isn't prepared to do the qualifiers, MJJ couldn't beat the so called no hoper that is Chris Harris and Dudek didn't even compete. Tai was a completely different set of circumstances, having been in the series before and had come through some very testing times which slowed his progress. In the main, the champions have been the old guard in any case, with only Tai and Holder of the brigade winning titles, the likes of Hancock, Gollob, Pedersen and Crump having taken most of the titles in recent times. Tai has been the exception.
Not only are Dudek and MJJ U21 world champions, they are consistently scoring big points in Poland and Sweden, and improving. Its time for the lame ducks like Lindgren to make way. One meeting on a blue groove Poole track is hardly the fairest way to dismiss a young man who has already won 2 world titles and a GP...

Give us someone who we paid you for..your very generous, our sincere thanks English.

Fair enough, with Killer at the showground...

On 7.22 and coming back from yet another injury, I would not have Linus back. Way too risky...

But fans aren't interested in the KO Cup, that's why it was binned.
The play-offs on the other hand attract the biggest crowds of the season.
So, remind me why you want to scrap the play-offs and reinstate the KO Cup?
Because I want a full fixture list, I don't want clubs finishing in early September. The 'big crowds' only benefit 2 teams once, and 2 teams twice, whilst the rest just stop, that's hardly progress imo. The KOC needs to start and finish earlier, and get rid of the pointless challenge matches. That's my view anyway..
-
Be financial suicide without them.
With Sky gone and a full league fixture list with a KO Cup, the circus play offs can be binned and the league winners can be crowned champions...

He will maintain that average I reckon. Lets face it, he's pretty much an 8.5 rider at the EOES. I'd have his mate Norbert in your side as well.
10.40 inc bonus and 9.47 ex bonus from the last 7 home meetings suggest your dead right English..
-
Still.....
that leaves us with
Troy, Hans, Sundstrom, Buckz on high averages, you have to think Buckz is to much of a risk on his average.
IF its a 36.00....
Linus Sundstrom
Lasse Bjerre
Ryan Fisher
Norbert Kosciuch
MJJ (Doubtful, yes)
David Bellego
Dakota North
On paper looks awful, but best I could do realistically with what we have.
Surely you guys wont ditch Buzz yet again? He is fantastic at Peterborough and improving steadily away from home. He is your nailed on number 3. Reliable, committed and entertaining.
Agree totally, lets face it, his average has improved every year because he is improving. Almost unbeatable at home and getting better away, he would be in my team for sure...

Is that your 'mean and moody' look Blu?
That's American stand up comedian George Carlin, a big favourite of mine English. Dead now unfortunately, but well worth a look on You Tube. I look like that most of the time

A slightly larger league, one home and one away, whats wrong with that?
12 teams, 11 home and 11 away fixtures.
Team at the top goes direct to p/o final
Teams finishing 2nd & 3rd have a semi, home and away... winner of that then rides against the team that finished top over a home and away final.
That still retains the play offs, but shortened and should be easier to fit in at the end of the season.
Or maybe drop the play off circus if there is a full league programme...

I am astounded at the vitriol poured over the riders on this thread, it's a disgrace to be honest. If any of you are brave enough to race the way these guys do, fill your boots and slag off their inclusion and criticise their ability.
I'd be happy to have 10% of the ability of these guys, who, by the way, risk their lives to entertain us each time they throw a leg over a bike.
Regarding the wild cards, feel free to extol the virtues of anyone else you care to name, including MJJ, Dudek, Jonasson, Laguta even, but a couple of decent performances on the world stage does not a GP rider make, ask Martin Vaculik. I rank none of them as my favourites, but Holder and Gollob pick themselves, AJ and Fred have been consistent performers on the world stage for some time and are worthy of their place in the series. Regarding the likes of MJJ and Jonasson, they had their chance to qualify, like others, and couldn't do so. That being so, how does it make them more deserving than the four picked? It doesn't.
Regarding Harris, why can't you get off his case? It's fair to say he hasn't been deserving of the nominations for wild cards he has had, but he hasn't bought them, he was offered them and accepted them. In his position, I suspect any of you would do the same. Likewise in the GP challenge, although in that case, many of the riders that were next in line from the semi finals supposedly declined a place to race, Harris was offered the place and took it. So what? He then finished ahead of many of the riders who have been put forward on this forum as deserving of a place in the GP, and matched Smolinski. Surely, if they can't finish ahead of Harris, supposedly so poor according to many on this forum, how can they possibly be included in the series.
You couldn't write it.
Laguta, MJJ and Dudek are far more deserving than Lindgren, who rarely makes the top eight. Tai proved future World champions are likely to be the younger rising stars, not the older wildcard regulars...

Of course you do. but your not helping the cause..
Neither is Mr Havelock I would imagine, I'm sure the Bees fans have a closer insight on this than anyone...

There's your forcast then. Wonder what price a bookie would give you??
Woffy 2/1 Ward 11/4 Holder 7/2 Emil 4/1 .... My pound is going on Bjerre at 99/1

Both Tai and Darcy are the most talented young riders in the world at the moment and could rule for years if both could stop injury free.
Probably safe to include Emil as well...

This is where the doubling up rule needs to be changed.
Think that there should be a maximum premier league average for double uppers thus ruling out the like of Cook and Worrall to name but two.
Pick 1 league and ride there. Do a Stonehewer or Sean Wilson and be a big fish in a small pond or go full time elite.
Cookie is looking to ride in Poland and Sweden next year, that would probably rule him out of Premier Lge racing...
-
Jason Garrity and Kyle Newman maybe, but both probably need to double up imo...
-
It wasn't intended to be a nasty comment, I was simply stating that after this year, with serious injuries to some of the world's best riders, it would be nice if the reserves weren't required at all next season. I couldn't care less if Harris is 'capable of mixing it with the best', if all goes well in 2014, we won't have to test that theory, except at Cardiff where he is sure to receive another wild card.
JT.
Not sure about that. If Cook continues his improvement next year, he may be a good pick...

And it wasn't an Iceberg that sunk the Titanic; it was these two in their trackside gantry......
Bring back hanging!
If those two had been on that iceberg in their gantry, the Titanic would have known it was there at least five miles away...

Hard to choose any team until points limits are set, but at least we have KKS to entertain us till then..
