Premiership Grand Final 1st Leg Swindon V Wolves 02.10.17
Steve Shovlar replied to Wolfsbane's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Agree. Clearly a foul ride. Does a rider actually have to lay it down to get the perpetrator excluded? Really the red light should have come straight on. Great race in heat three! -

18-20 point win for Swindon tonight followed by a 4-6 point Swindon win on Wednesday. Injuries have rendered the final a complete non event sad to say. What a shame. -
To be honest I just skip over the posts from the two. Just clutter on the threads.
-
Never seen Starman going around abusing people like Gavan does on a daily basis. But both of them are pathetic. No one on here wants to read their continuous arguments its effing boring and ruins nearly every thread. If they want to argue with each other take it to personal messages and leave the threads to those that want to make posts on topic.
-
Every effing thread I go on seems to be ruined by this pillock Gavan. There now seems to be no moderation whatsoever. Has Phil completely given up? Why doesn't he have someone do some moderating on his behalf to get this forum back on track? I am sure there would be people willing to mod the place.

Premiership Grand Final 1st Leg Swindon V Wolves 02.10.17
Steve Shovlar replied to Wolfsbane's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Of course the gloss has come off. The final has been rendered a virtual non event. Not Swindons fault of course but as a spectacle the crown jewel of the season has been completely ruined. Swindon fans will of course disagree. The rules don't allow it but r/r in a final looks bad and is bad. Perhaps issues like this can be looked at at the agm. If a rider is deemed by the scb, (and not a dodgy doctors note)to be out through a speedway related injury, a guest can fill the spot. Doesn't help Wolves this week though. -

Dear oh dear. How much longer do we have to put up with this person? -
Premiership Grand Final 1st Leg Swindon V Wolves 02.10.17
Steve Shovlar replied to Wolfsbane's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
True. It was a shock. But there are big differences in that final and this one. With due respect losing your top two is a disaster. Harris for Lindgren is the best that Wolves could do, and weakens Wolves, but r/r for a rider vitually unbeatable around Monmore leaves a hole so big Swindon will just walk through. I hope I am wrong but really, this will all be over by 9.30pm on Monday night. Any of the teams in the league would see off the current Wolves team over two legs. Here's an idea. wolves stand down as they are injury ravaged and only got there due to a terrble referee decision, the bspa present them with a "good try" trophy, and the final is between Belle Vue and Swindon. At least then we would have two thrilling meetings. (Awaits incredulous comments) -
What the hell has this got to do with Poole 2018? Take your gripes to personal messages.

So you think the final is still going to be a close, tense thriller? Open your eyes! Its now virtually a non event! I think I would be taking the champers to spray after the first leg. -

Of course its an anti climax. One team has lost its top two riders! You think Wolves fans don't think its an anti climax? They will be gutted they have lost Lindgren and Thorsell and they can't be covered by Harris and r/r. Swindon fans know its in the bag, be honest. If Swindon lose this it will be the biggest choke of all time. Wolves are currently leaderless and rudderless. The Titanic ten minutes after hitting the iceburg. Still floating but sinking fast. A real shame for the neutrals. I was looking forward to the final, and not caring in the slightest who won. Just hopefully two good and close meetings. Now that is not going to happen. -

What a shame the grand final has now turned into the biggest anti climax the sport has seen since the inception of the playoffs. -

I believe everyone wishes him a full and speedy recovery. However, if he is still in hospital 24 hours later, then it is clear to me there is absolutely no chance of him riding in 48 hours time. -

Wolves without Lindgren and Thorsell Would be nowhere near as strong as Poole. With very limited choice of guest and r/r it will be a stroll in the park for Swindon. It really has just been handed to the robins on a plate. All they have to do is turn up. Seriously. -

Well having viewed the footage on Twitter Lindgren was 100% at fault. Not even 10/90 Bjerres fault. -
Premiership Final 1st Leg - Swindon V Belle Vue/wolves - 02.10.17
Steve Shovlar replied to ReadingRacer2017's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If Lindgren is missing this will be a snoozefest of a final for all but the Swindon fans, who can start celebrating as soon as Lindgren is announced as out. A real shame if Freddie is out though for neutrals. Not Swindons fault of course that they will be handed the championship on a plate with trimmings. Last year Poole were cursed with injuries at the wrong moment, and this year it's Wolverhampton. -

As I have just posted on the bv v Wolves thread, if Lindgren has suffered any form of concussion he will be out of both legs of the final. With no Thorsell and Lindgren Swindon just have to turn up. So who will guest in place of Freddie if needed? King, Harris or Nicholls? -

Final score? Updates guy has given up. Edit. Just found it on updates. Congrates Wolves, commiserations Belle Vue. Had to get that 4-2 in 14 but blew it. If Lindgren hurt Swindon just need to turn up. Then Wolves fans will feel what Poole fans felt like last year with injuries at the worst possible times. -

Belle Vue need a 5-1 and a 4-2 in the final two heats as long as Cook wins heat 13. No more Lindgren.........
