Well done to Zagar but by christ that was dire entertainment. Why is that? -

Studio needs an extra person to argue the toss. Natalie asks a leading question and Scott says yes. No disagreements or different opinion. Get an alternative viewpoint in there. -

So what? Finishing top gives Swindon pick. All square again now. Playoffs are brilliant. You are certainly in the minority. -

Agree. Much better to have interviews at the track. Can't they stick a camera in the pits and have Tatum asking some questions? Lindgren did nothing wrong there. -

Woffinden has been useless. Needs to be back in the British league next year. He knows it as well. -

Rubbish stadium, rubbish racing. Nothing at all to enjoy. Needs to be knocked off the GP calendar. Eith the Germans come up with a better stadium or its left off. Nothing redeeming about it sorry to say. -

Thought Janowski was harshly punished. Looked a great start. -

Extremely poor stuff so far. Hoping things will improve but dire rubbish at the moment. -
I hope you are right but my sources are normally correct.

Well make the most of it. I have heard from a few sources there is no plan for BT or Sky to show league speedway next season. BT might only be interested provided teams have far stronger teams with GP riders, which would help promote the GP series. There could well be only 6 more live league meetings before the league loses out completely to live meetings.

Poole V Swindon Semi Final 1st Leg 11/9/17

Not necessarily. Southbourne is the south east suburb of Bournemouth by the sea. Then you have Northbourne. Guess where that is? Only thing misses is Eastbourne which is nowhere to be seen in Dorset and probably not used to avoid confusion with the town in East Sussex. -

Woffinden needs to get back to the UK if he is to regain support from the majority of British fans. With the top flight likely to be on Mondays and Thursdays, there really is no excuse not to return to British speedway, the British Final and TeamGB. -

Weather is set to improve this afternoon and dry for this evening. Should be OK. Hopefully see a return to the top for Magic after the last gp when he suffered badly from slow engines. Will Doyle be cavalier or riding safely for a change? Hope the racing is good. Not a venue worthy of a GP imo. Back side of nowhere with basic facilities. -

Hopefully Matt will have arranged for the team to have a full afternoons practice on Monday before the meeting so they are dialled in. -

The clue is in the name. Westbourne, as in west Bournemouth. The Frizzell roundabout where LV offices are is known as County Gates. Because Hampshire ended here and Dorset began, before Bournemouth became part of Dorset. So LV roundabout is Poole. -

Branksome is in Poole, correct. There is no rivalry between Bournemouth and Poole. -
Dont think there is one.

Rye House V Kings Lynn / Kings Lynn V Rye House
Steve Shovlar replied to Speedwaycrazy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Why haven't Lynn come on out and said that Poole fans should send their tickets in for an £8 refund and Rye fans a little more? The Lynn promotion should be pro-active on this, not leave things and hope fans just won't bother. They just bring it on themselves. -

Then Rosco should name him in the TeamGB lineup. If he refuses to accept riding for TeamGB he loses any benefit of being a plastic Brit. -

Then clearly you have nothing to fear on Monday, right? It's going to be a stroll in the park for Swindon, right? Anything less than a ten point Swindon win would be classed as underperforming, right? Clearly you expect Doyle, Morris and the Pole to go through the meeting unbeaten, right? There's no pressure on Poole. I for one am feeling none at all where normally the worry and expectation would be palpable. I should imagine it's the same for most Poole fans as well. Whereas Swindon fans are expecting, no, demanding that their team brush aside this so called very weak and poor Pirates side who only just scraped into the playoffs in heat 15 of their last meeting of the regular season. Anything other than a Swindon win on Monday would be a shock, right? -
Dave, perhaps you could give us an insight of what your Tuesday is like on commentary day? Research you do, The studio, staff around you etc?

Poole V Swindon Semi Final 1st Leg 11/9/17
Steve Shovlar replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Really looking forward to Monday. Being the underdogs takes the pressure completely away. Remember a couple of years ago when we were the favourites and the pressure was intense. This time around there isn't any at all and the lads can go into the meeting with no expectations or weight on their shoulders. Will the burden be too much for this Swindon team who have been thumped quite heavily twice in a row? And in the last meeting Wolves took their foot off the gas. All pressure will be on the Robins. Pirates can go for it free from the extra strain of what being favourites means. Lets send those Swindon fans back to Wiltshire worrying about how they are going to pull back a decent Poole lead. -
