Really great meeting. Funnily enough two weeks ago was a blinder from here as well. Gollob seems to have a new appetite for racing after being on a wind down the last two seasons. Perhaps he realises once the time has gone its gone so is making the most of the twilight of his career. Wonderful stuff and the way he went out wide and wound it on in heat 15 was a joy to watch unless you are a mickey mouse fan. Looking forward to Bjarne doing the same tomorrow night at Leicester. Lol.

    Belle Vue V Swindon 11 May, 2016.

Great to see a proper race on the track. Looks great.
  3. Not bothered about his winning margins just the fact he came through and is fit to race Tomorrow.
  4. Just waiting now for someone to blame it on Matt Ford.
  5. Yet Poole reserve Brady Kurtz qualified. Perhaps after all this thread Cook should be in the PL.
  6. Perhaps he can't get a ride in Poland because they don't think he is good enough. Couldn't get through a fairly easy GP qualifier tonight at KL.
  7. From updates Ellis has smashed the Eastbourne NL track record tonight and is half a lap in front every heat he has been in. Llooks like he is back for Monday.
  8. Yes thats what I said. He is riding for Eastbourne tonight.
  9. For all this waffle on this thread the blame clearly sits with the Peterborough promotion. They were told by a member of the MC is a friendly conversation before the attempted signing that the signing would proably not be allowed. Now common senseseems to be lacking from the Peterborough promotion. Rather than making a fanfare about the signing, then ending up throwing toys out of the pram, what he should have done was apply for the changes on the quiet, and waited for an answer. A negative would have meant stay as you are and no one would be any the wiser, or a possitive and fanfare time. To do what he did, after advice from an MC member, and completely ignore it, shows naivety at best and stupidty at worst. And the threats of pulling out are quite pathetic. The BSPA won't bow down to this type of behaviour, and rightly so. Only people to blame here are the Peterborough promotion IMO. And why are these threads are blocking up the EL section? Its a PL issue so the mods should move them over.
  10. No wrath. But Newman last season was tremendous at Leicester with some proper from the back passing. If Worral can do the same we will be satisfied. Hope Ellis rides tonight and is not feeling the effects of his smash on Monday.

Me too. Not hd but not far from it. This will be available either tomorrow or Sunday on youtube in crystal clear HD. Good meeting.
  14. Wozniak on fire tonight in Poland. Great meeting to watch as well.
  15. Decimated Poole take on the new title favourites at Wimborne Road tomorrow and theres no better time for Wolves to bring their team along. An ideal opportunity to grab all 4 points on offer. It will take a monumental effort from patched up Poole to get anything out of this. With both hig scoring reserves out of action, Ellis after a nasty spill and Newman laid up with a nasty groin issue, their scoring ability will be badly missed. Add to that no Bjarne and Poole could be chasing shadows from unbeaten powerhouse Wolverhampton, who will be looking for all four points. Holder needs to pull his finger out. Hans and Buckowski are doing fine as is Kurtz. With the weather set fair it should be a big crowd and they will want to see much more effort than was put in by some of the team on Monday night. Thoughts?
  16. Spoke to Adam about this exact point on Wednesday. The NL is Good for testing setups and new gear. Not bothered about PL as has more than enough racing with Poole, Eastbourne plus continental bookings.
  17. Its easy money for EL heat leafers. Or should be. They should average over ten. I believe that any EL heat leader should be nowhere near the PL. However now the MC have given their clear reason it shows that the reason was clash of racenight and nothing more than that. A lot on here should be apologising the the MC for thier wayward remarks.
  18. Came onto this threading thinking just how stupid it is for Cook to be riding in the PL, considering he is an EL heat leader. In no way should he be dropping down. Now reading a few pages in, common sense has been used by the MC to block the move. It has upset the Peterborough promotion but tough. An EL heat leader should be nowhere near a PL team berth. Easy pickings and to make easy money. That's all this was. Cook hasnt yet been picked to ride for his Polish club. They would never give him a berth if they see is after easy money. BSPA MC are bang on the money with stopping the move IMO. Absolutely agree. No place for Cook in the PL. can't see why some are moaning at the MC who have made the right call IMO.

    Coventry 2016

The problem with Coventry is that their fanshave far too high expectations. The club has no money and even if it did, whats the point because the fans have given up and would rather moan on here than go along and support their team in their last season. If Poole announced today that the council have sold the stadium to Barratt Homes and this was our last season, there would be major uproar from Poole fans and sponsors. But Coventry fans just seem to have meekly given up, a bit like their team this season judging by the posts on here.
  20. I am going to stick my neck out and go for 43-47. Someone have the guillotine ready 10 pm Monday!
  21. Going up for this. 4th time lucky? Hopefully Ellis will be back. Bjarne might have a point to prove.

    Poole V Wolves Ela 4/5/16

Lots of dirt on the track last night. A far far better meeting than the Lakeside V BV show. Shame Sky dont head to Wimborne Road more often. The racing was very good last night with Hans, Buck and Thorsell having some very good battles. https://www.periscope.tv/w/afm0KTFtTUVQZVdxTm1RR2J8MWpNS2dEd3BFcWpHTACr1TFK9WPg23kR0d9JPoUnvvEDqxoIh_nkmhkVPb83 Showing the new look 4th bend.
  23. So after the rainoff at Kings Lynn Poole move on to Monmore Green on Monday to take on the Wolves who have started the season on the front foot. They could well be dark horses this season and it will take a monumental effort from any team this season to come away from with any points here. Poole hope to welcome back Kyle Newman after a spell in hospital with a groin injury. We will have to wait and find out if he is well enough over the weekend. The Poole lineup has now changed and also the riding order. With Ellis up in the team Newman is now joined by Brady Kurtz. I am unsure whether Kurtz has ever ridden Monmore or not. Perhaps a Wolves fan will know. A very tough and exciting encounter. I shall be there weather permitting. Forecast is for rain in tnhe morning to leave a dry afternoon and evening. This will proabably change. With Kurtz and Buckowski likely to struggle here, and it far from being Holders favourite track, I am looking to a score of 48-42 Or close to it. Thoughts?

    Poole V Wolves Ela 4/5/16

Well unless the Steam have a direct satellite link to Poole stadium you would be very lucky as it wasnt on tv. But it should have judging by what I have seen if that meeting so far.

    Poole V Wolves Ela 4/5/16

To be honest the score flatters Wolves. In two heats Poole were home and dry on 5-1's when disaster struck. In the first Howarth fell in third and Thorsell laid it down. In the rerun he gated second and picked off Wright. In the other Holder and Hans were cruising on a 5-1 when Holder lost his steel shoe. Those 8 points would have brought it to 59-31. And Poole were a weakened side tonight with Auty nowhere near a point. Six points from Bjarnes rides. However it was an excellent and thrilling meeting with plenty of great races, none more so than when Lindgren and Masters tried to team ride Hans out. Brilliant stuff from the Poole captain to slice between them off bend four of the third lap. Also interesting to see that the centre green has been cut back on the 4th bend by at least a metre. The white line is still in the same place. Has a rider asked for this so he can put his front wheel over the line and cut around the inside better? So off we go to Leicester on Monday. Ellis is riding Saturday and will see how he feels but wants to ride. Kyle was interviewed and said he had sepsis and it was quite serious. He said he had never felt pain like it last Sunday night. Hoping to be back in a couple of weeks if all goes well.
