When I said sellout I meant the main grandstand. Only tickets now left are on the temp stands and standing on the forth bend.
Looks like the place is going to have a fantastic atmosphere, which is exactly what Benfield wanted. Don't know how many of us Brits have purchased tickets but I hope we are not outnumbered by Danes, Swedes and Poles!
But I will be there with my English flag cheering the boys on to victory!

Shov,What is the hospitality area like at Poole?
Hunsy
Benfield are running it in the top of the back straight grandstand. Not sure how to get tickets though!
-
Well I warned you to get those tickets and news today is that they are sold out on Thursday for the playoff and Saturday for the final!
The grandstand for both events is sold out and there are only a small amount of standing left. There is temporary extra seating (no cover) being installed at £37.50 on the first and second bend to cope with demand. Benfield are putting in an additional 2000 seats.
Thanks god I got mine!

What a shame if they revert to the old 20 heats, two semis and a final. The current setup is excellent. Sudden death, two thirds and your out brings early excitment to a meeting and the 20 heat formula cannot acheive this at all.
keep it as it is I say.

yep!
TRick is the perfect world champ and will again be crowed king this year.
-
INteresting to note that Poole hotels are completely full up for the WTC week. Bournemouth still has plenty of vacancies though. So if that's the case it looks like its going to be a full house on the final, and probably if Team GB are in the playoff.
BRING IT ON!

I aready have booked my tickets. A 4 meeting ticket works out at £22.50 a seat, so I think that is a very fair price. When I booked they said that booking had been very steady, so whether or not most of you are not prepared to pay it, many others will and the semi and final will be full, as Poole only has a small capacity.
I can see it now. People on here who are saying they are not prepared to book at those prices, will have a change of heart when the final approaches, only to discover it's a sell out and through their initial displeasure at the prices, they are gutted to have missed Team GB win the WTC.
I agree prices are steep if you just buy a seat for the final, but there are many fans coming from Europe who are buying tickets for all meetings, and that is not expensive.

I thout Sam was OK but he really messed up the rider intros. the riders didn't know when to walk and the way he announced it was flat. "The nest rider is Mark Loram blah blah blah (couldn't hear what he was sayng because of airhorns) blah blah...Loram"
He should have said "The last British world champ and a rider who loves to battle through from the back. On great form at the moment and ready to set the stadium alight...the one and only MARK LORAM!" (now the airhorns go mad and Loram walks.

Left Dorset at 11.30 and decided rather than to drive to Newport and get the train we would head into Cardiff and park up. Found it very simple and parked only half a mile from the stadium.
The place was buzzing when we arrived, and after something to eat we headed to sam's Bar, where we met quite a few forum members. A few budweisers later we headed to Yates, and had a chat with Havvy and Sean wilson.
Entering the stadium it was obvious straight away the crowd was the biggest yet, with tier 3 the busiest yet. Not sure what the officail attendance is but certainly heading in the right direction!
Tony hadley was good, but the other girl I had never heard of. The best bit was to see if she was going to pop out of that top!
The racing was the best yet at cardiff, and a great GP. the Brits all did well, and well done to richardson for making the rostrum. If he had managed to get through down the back straight he could have won it.
The fireworks were excellent, and no one wanted to leave the place.
back at the car we were quickly on the M4 and home by 12.50 am.
Great stuff and can't wait for next year.

Yes those start girls were smething else. The one in red looked just like my ex wife.
-
who's the best rider in the world at the moment= BJARNE PEDERSENNot exactly true, due to the fact that FORMER Pirate Rickardsson currently leads the field.
But I wouldn't expect you to acknowledge that as he no longer rides for Poole.
Fickle or what.
Full credit to Bjarne Pedersen on his win, just a pity he has to ride for such an arrogant club as Poole.
what a load of cr*p.
I was cheering TRick on all the way as well as Bjarne. Most Poole fans want TRick to regain his crown. Well pleased with Bjarne's win which was great as he was in some tremendous battles with Walasek and Gollob.
Perfect night for Poole fans. A current Poole rider winning it and Tony back on top of the pile.
BRING ON CARDIFF!!
TRick to stretch away into the distance from now on.

I thought it was a super GP, and not just because the Pirate boys did us proud.
At first i thought the track was too slick and it would be a poor meeting, but as th heats progressed the racing just got better and better. The batle between Walasek and Crump, and Walesek and Bjarne was top notch stuff. Add to the the ride TRick had with Walasek before he came to grief and it was well up there with the great GP's.
The added glee of seeing Crump flunk out was cool, and Adams doing his usual display made me open a bottle of bubbly to celebrate tonight.
With Messrs Ford and Golding over in Poland talking to prosective future pirates, the future is looking good.

Hey garf Bjarne is a Pirate, TRick was this year. Thats a good enough excuse for me.Looks like Bjarne is completely taking over the mantle of his namesake as Danmarks number one.
Yep you are quite right. Just winding you a bit up. hehehe
Bjarne better do it now as in a few year he will not have a chance.
I know, Lindback will dominate for years and is already better.

Didn't know it was any different.
You want to complain to yoour cable company and threaten to cancel your subscription. If they don't get the chanel cancel and get digital. Its the same price.
-
why can't you get it? Its on channel 404.

Chris,
might be an idea to set up a paypal account where we can send money to and order tickets. Most people have paypal now and it will be very easy to raise extra funds as its a one minute job to send money for tickets.
www.staechmann.com has done this for his site and its easy to set up.
Just a thought.

He who dares and Adams doesn't dare, that's why he will only be remembered as a great league rider.Steve You Are Full Of S*-T. If He Was Still A Poole Rider You Would Not Of Made That Comment
He wa a Poole rider last year and I said exactly the same. He will never be world champ as he hasn't got the right temperament. Great at team level but lacks the vital aggression to become a great.
Only a few riders have it at the moment. Crump, Rickardsson, Sullivan and Pedersen, though what he has in aggression he loses in ability.
Adams is similar to Jimmy Nilsen. Smooth, stylish, but when it comes down to it, lacks the will for individual glory.(or jus doesnt have it)

What a shame the semis and final were ruined by the weather. Nearly got away with it.
Well done to TRick for a good third, and Hampel for a very good second. Worth a few quid each way on him!
