Surely pointless paying loan fees if you don't have to. We can win the title without Morris.

Maybe you can but you'll have an even better chance if you replace Klindt/Woryna/Worrall with Morris.

Plus we have so many assets why not use them.

Ford will use* whichever rider/s that have the most scope to improve their average and Morris will be very high on that list.

    *Double entendre intended.

Morris had a poor season because he was riding in a position he wasn't ready to ride at. Exactly the same with Brady Kurtz. Neither rider is a No.1 at the moment. Far too much pressure on both Aussie boys. Morris will have a great season in 2019 if he returns to Swindon because Doyle will take all the pressure off Nick's shoulders in the big Heats. If Matt Ford can get a reliable No.1 in then the same will happen with Brady Kurtz. I can see both riders ending up with a 8.00 average next season.

Nothing to do with being #1, the track at Swindon was dreadful last year - Morris came off on his own far too often for a rider of his calibre and it was all down to the condition of the track, he wasn't happy all season and it showed in his performances, body language and he alluded to it during interviews. The rumours of him leaving started in the summer with suggestions he was off to Wolverhampton surfacing in August, no doubt he was vocal about the situation at Swindon regarding the track to staff/management/riders of Wolverhampton and someone has suggested 'come ride for us', given how well he's performed there the last 2 seasons i'm sure that idea appealed and the seeds are planted, however given his attractive 6.60 average, he'll be on every clubs radar and you can bet your bottom dollar Poole have tapped him up during the end of season Play Offs and subsequent trip to Dubai and whilst I know nothing, my money is firmly on him turning out for the boys in Blue. :(

Anyone know if Morris is definitely signing ??

Would have though with him living in Swindon when in UK he would have already put ink on the contract. Having said that I do appreciate he flew home to Aussie with his mates Brady Kurtz & Josh Graz, after the Poole A.Dhabi jolly up, so may not have got around to it yet. Having said that he did get announced by Masarna this morning in SWE so one would have thought he has been active on the Contract front.

    Sing it with me

'He's on his way, He's on his way, to Wimborne Rd he's on his way, how he gets there I don't know, how he gets there I don't care, all I know is Morris's on his way'

if that's the case cook worrall and other riders will get a reduction pretty sure it's within the last 3 years ?

I'm not aware of this timescale but would make sense wouldn't it? seeing as it's supposed to help their transition into the higher league and aid their development, I've already mocked a Poole supporter on another thread for suggesting Harris would be entitled.

So Bomber has a new average of 6.91 with a 2.5% reduction.

Yes, since his stint in the NDL he's coming along nicely, that 2.5% should see him reach the next level in his development.

You taking over as promoter? because that's the sort of 'forward thinking' that'll give Poole the edge again.

the council have clearly passed the buck over to stadia uk or whoever builds the new or re-vamped stadium there is no way stadia uk paid for parts of the new grandstand to be built & stored in wales for over 12 mths they wouldn't pay for anything until permission was granted so now it's here let's see if it arrives ?? i doubt it very much ?? also if no one comes forward to build a stadium then council won't hang around and they will build houses on the land for sure sadly swindon council have clearly passed the buck for sure !!

    Unbelievable Geoff!

Just sat in tesco's reading last weeks Speedy Star. Brilliant features and write ups. The REFS and Tatums. I like his bit plonking kids on seats, but he's right. We need something massively positive to come out of the AGM. Including a simplified rule book. And stick to it...

If you paid for it you could have read it sat at home. :P

Most of that for Tai though, especially with his meet and greet.

Surely not? Top riders don't bring in the crowds do they?

'I just need to see 4 blokes on bikes going round in circles to part with my cash'

Two words, first starts with F and the other starts with O!

    'Freakin' Outstanding' ????

Or is it a 'Fantastic Opportunity'?

Perhaps it's just a 'Fortuitous Occurrence'

Or maybe it's like a handful of Poole fans on here......'F***ing Obnoxious'

Exactly. This years team was obviously built with the expectancy of Thursday night racing which then changed late in the day. Riders will need to be signed based on their availability for 2019.

Hopefully the Championship clubs will get together sooner rather than later and let us know which days and which riders we'll be using in the Premiership next season. :P

There won't be any post and I certainly won't be congratulating Poole. Of course you will hang on.   Pirates will probably also win at Kings Lynn ~   similar to what Coventry did in 2010 in the 2nd leg at Poole. Remember when they won both legs of the play-off final and the management acted like spoilt brats? Some of us never forget so don't expect any congratulations from me because you won't be getting them.

I think what Gemini is trying to say is.....*u** *ou Starman. :D

We've already done you one favour, how many do you want?

Good old Poole always willing to help out their fellow clubs, wonder what Sandhu and Frost made of them favours circa 2010/11? or Swindon when they refused to sign Miedzinski as an asset in 2012, instead taking advantage of the loan system to abuse his average for 3 months to facilitate the signing of KK. It's a good job they're here or British Speedway would be in a right mess.
