Is that the Dorset Knobs?
Or will the big guess the guests press release at Wimborne Rd also announce 'Starman in Ironic post shocker'

10 minutes ago, Bagpuss said:Maximum impact timing with the press release I’d imagine.
Exactly. All the press are on their way to Wimborne Rd having attended the Conservative conference in Birmingham yesterday, given the local demographic in the Poole district and the age of the average attendee at Wimborne Rd it's imperative that these 2 events don't clash.

Good decision by the heffer.

Christina Turnbull wants to be put out to grass, idiot heffer is useless.

It's disappointing that Swindon can't win it but on the plus side neither can Poole, what a terrific night for British speedway. Glug Glug Glug

Isn't that always the case at Wimborne Rd? and no doubt we'll be treated to some racing on a par with the NSS or Bydgoszcz tonight as well.

I doubt we can afford this but why not it's fantasy season...

Me too Sid, especially Easter Sunday 2007. Ulamek was superb and Gjedde's heat 3 last to 2nd past the team riding Zagar and Kolodziej a particular highlight, the teenage Reading fan sat in front of me in the main stand probably still has 'GO ON CHARLIE' ringing in his ears even now .
Reading Bulldogs 39
1) Greg Hancock ------ 1*,6,2,0,0 = 9+1
2) Sam Simota -------- 2,2*,1*,0 = 5+2
3) Matej Zagar -------- 1,0,3,2 = 6
4) Janusz Kolodziej ---- 0,1,1,1 = 3
5) Travis McGowan ---- f,3,2,2,1 = 8
6) Danny Bird --------- exc,0,D.N.R = 0
7) Jason Bunyan ------ 2,2,2,1*,1* = 8+2
Team Manager; Jim Lynch
Swindon Robins 54
1) Leigh Adams ----------- 3,3,3,3,2* = 14+1
2) Tomasz Chrzanowski --- 0,2*,3,0 = 5+1
3) Seb Ulamek ------------ 3,1*,3,3,3 = 13+1
4) Charlie Gjedde --------- 2*,2,1,2* = 7+2
5) Lee Richardson -------- 3,f,2,1 = 6

He's been doing that s**t for 15 years, what goes around comes around as they say.
Same goes for Ronaldo.

10 hours ago, DizzAssStar said:Absolute rubbish .......... Swindon had SIX riders throughout the meeting......FACT!
Yes they did, the fact that 2 of those 6 riders weren't of the required standard seems lost on you.
You're obviously easily pleased in Norfolk, maybe for the next home meeting alongside the excellent promotion of being able to watch a couple of races from the centre for an additional fee, they could chuck in a bucket of fish for those same supporters to toss at the happy clappers such as yourself.

21 minutes ago, DizzAssStar said:Great effort .......... they almost beat a 5 man team that only had one heat leader ........... but still blew it despite Boy Batchelors best efforts to wipe out Lambert.
Fantastic performance
Given the standard of Swindon's reserves wouldn't you expect a 5 man home team to beat a 4 man away team?

On 9/16/2018 at 2:07 PM, Bagpuss said:The Tru Plant Stars are offering supporters a unique experience during Monday’s Semi-Final. For just £5 extra on top of their admission fee, supporters will have the opportunity to watch three races from the infield.
Tickets will be available at the programme sales stand inside the turnstiles and will be limited to 30 persons per session.
Subject to availability, supporters will be able to select from the following sessions: heats 3-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15.
I like this idea, it's not groundbreaking nor will it mend speedway's ills but it's a decent opportunity for the club and supporters alike.

These 2? And is that Starman in the background?

4 hours ago, Steve Shovlar said:As many have said, if the promoters were all like Matt the sport would be thriving in the UK. Easily the best current promoter in the country and has been since the start of the millennium.
Didn't we have a couple of promoters that wanted to take the sport up a level about 10 years ago? 1 with deeper pockets (Rick Frost) and another who outfoxed him in 2010 (A Sandhu), what happened to them?

And that we have Josh Auty at #1 in 2019.
