Peter Craven Memorial Trophy - Monday 18th March.
SpeedwayTShirts replied to tocha's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Having attended and thoroughly enjoyed it, once totted up, no travel costs, £10 in club first, £27 in, £30 beers and food inside, £10 takeaway on way home. For £15 on a cold evening I think I'll pay for the extra stream in future, so long as it's cheaper than the entry fee you've got to be on to a winner in my eyes. -

Well they took my advice getting Sam in as Team Manager, so I'd like to see Nicki and Rory plus one more. NOT Shamek though as Nicki detests him with a passion.

Superb value, Championship is a must but not sure re the Premiership. It's very good coverage with the team involved on commentary. I'll be investing in 2024!

Damn right was a nice guy when you were in with his crowd, but life goes on I bear no grudges.

Richie Worrall statement
SpeedwayTShirts replied to davieb1's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
But didn’t Richie have his own test done in far more detail the following day at his own expense which showed him to be completely clean over 16 catergories? -
If they were asking Save Coventry Speedway why Leicester failed, they'd have been able to answer with several responses..... Popularity of the Promoter Lower League Racing No Leicester fans to follow it as direct enemy of Coventry

One of the most interesting interviews I’ve ever done, where we dig deep into mental health, speedway, influences and the potential future of the sport. A huge thank you to James Wright for the opportunity and the frankness and honesty he expressed during the podcast. Well worth a listen for all speedway fans https://fb.watch/m6sP9pr8pd/

James Wright Podcast
SpeedwayTShirts replied to SpeedwayTShirts's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Our top podcast so far with 1.6k listens in only 48 hours. The most popular sections are where James talks about what made him leave the sport and return, how Jason Doyle is an inspiration to so many riders and where he talks about the weeks running up to Ricky Ashworth's career ending crash at Scunthorpe. If you haven't had a listen yet it's still available at https://fb.watch/m6sP9pr8pd/ -
Latest BSSC podcast is well worth a listen with James Wright, he explains his disappearance from the sport for years, why he came back, his thoughts on Ricky Ashworth's injury and how Jason Doyle is an inspiration to many riders. https://fb.watch/m6sP9pr8pd/

Birmingham v Berwick Wed 21st June CL
SpeedwayTShirts replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Rider v Rider I can only see Sedgie outscoring Leon, every other match up looks like the Bandits will come out on to me, but fingers crossed. -
Unless Garrity's been released
-
Don't know his average but an ex Brummies star like Smoli would put some extra bums on seats, and have Lee Complin guest as often as possible seeing as we couldn't capture his signature this season.

I think re riders and machinery being on the track at the same time it dates back to when they used to use the tractors to parade riders after winning titles etc. I remember my dad telling me someone fell off one once whilst being paraded and got proper mangled up, I think it was at Belle Vue from memory. -
Now Coventry have closed I tend to go and watch riders I like as opposed to teams, We went to Belle Vue last week to watch Emil and I'd scheduled several matches to watch Nicki P if he'd continued in the UK. The only thing that would encourage me to support another team properly would be I think if they tracked several Bees riders, so say Brum went in the Premiership with Scotty, Bomber, Rory, Smoli, KK, BB and Adam Roynon, I'd probably make more of an effort to attend matches to watch a team like that. But just the odd rider like Rooboy at Wolves isn't enough to get me there regulalrly.
-
If having Bomber didn't put anymore on the gate Bees fans wise I doubt any other rider would.
-
KK would find it very easy in the Championship as would Smoli and Covatti.
-
The site looked secure last week re getting into the stadium, I only spotted one potential entry point. https://youtu.be/PIM_vUsOS8M
