Another genius move. Rutherford has been loyal to Buxton and has spent most of the year riding out of position and still gets dropped. Halder will be unlikely to return next season and now so will Rutherford. Buxton have a tough time securing riders as it is without the constant chopping and changing of the side. As for the honest explanation from Mr Pipe? Its got more spin than an ashes tour.

A lot of people ordering late? Last minute decisions to travel or do prices drop nearer the time?

Peterborough Panthers 2017
Sings4Speedway replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Liam tends to set his bikes to drive really hard which can cause them to lift. If he gets out too wide at P'Boro and into the deep stuff there could be problems. Tom is a good gater anyway and has an excellent setup however he has become impatient and is starting to develop a reputation for rolling / jumping at the tapes which is costing him. -
The sport is a numbers & performance game and will always be harsh on some. Campos is never going to be on my exciting riders list but he can do a solid job and score the additional points that IOW need to get some wins on the board.

Birmingham V Plymouth Ko Cup 1st Leg Wed 28th June

No Parker for Plymouth? -
Don't think he wants to be. As it stands he can remain a freelance rider taking bookings as and when he wants (or until an actual average catches up with him) and as he is in demand hes not going short of rides.

Birmingham Brummies 2017 Hat Trick
Sings4Speedway replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in National League Speedway
Roberts looked pretty well helping around the pits at P'Boro yesterday although i didn't get to talk to him regarding the current state of his injury. -
Thought about this after the positive reviews from Mildenhall yesterday but the opposition was stronger which made it a better spectacle i suspect. I did initially think the Hammers would do ok if they fielded there top 4 but as they are not and theres no Bowen i suspect the Dream Team will run riot so going to save my pennies.

Is he replacing Leek or Roberts? Either way its another strengthening signing. -
Peterborough V Glasgow 25/6/17 Championship
Sings4Speedway replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Personally i enjoyed the meeting and the riders seemed to also. Definitely less dirt than has been previously but gave the riders confidence to attack it and either set up to drive on the slicker inside or use the spectacular wide line. This resulted in plenty of passing, several races with no distance between first and last and yet minimal dust. Id imagine the issues Friday played a part but there was definitely a feel good factor around the showground and if the entertainment stays like that i will keep making the journey to enjoy it. -
Very unfortunate. Would Cook & Hazeldon fit? Id imagine so and whilst not big name signings they would certainly both boost IOW's points tally.

Might not be popular with the Eastbourne fans but from a league perspective i think its great that Stoke look strong in this one. The past few years have seen the league decided based upon matches between the top four as every other match was an almost certain win. This year the whole league looks far more competitive and all the better for it.

Quick question(s) towards those more knowledgeable in this area. Do / how do the above riders attain averages? I was always of the belief that if you guested as a home rider / away rider for a side that would form one of the 4h/4a for averages to be calculated upon? (as i said belief not known facts) If this is the case however it is feasible that an unattached rider could attain an average over the base 3.00 and therefore no longer be eligible to continue taking these bookings? If this is not the case then why would a talented newcomer want to sign into any teams 1-7 when they could remain a freelance 3 pointer and if scoring highly become a very desirable guest with an asking £'s per point total to match?

Numbers 8's / Unattached Rider Averages

Anybody know what averages the likes of Spooner o'keefe and woodhull are hitting? The first two have almost certainly done their 4 meetings? -
Numbers 8's / Unattached Rider Averages
Sings4Speedway replied to Sings4Speedway's topic in National League Speedway
All very good points made & certainly there is no easy answer i was just wondering what the current rules actually are (if there are any?). Imagine for example if Dan Bewley had decided to remain unattached for his whole debut season? He could have guested for the whole season to the highest bidder and dramatically effected results and overall the league. -
What are the rules regarding unattached guests and averages? I thought if home / away guest it counts as one of his 4h / 4a and an average would be calculated then? But I could be very very wrong?

Eastbourne V Belle Vue June 17th
Sings4Speedway replied to Hunters's topic in National League Speedway
Yup. Payne & Shuttleworth fair enough as injuries can happen at any time. Also not the best planning to have a home match on the friday then away to Eastbourne on the Sat. -
Eastbourne V Belle Vue June 17th
Sings4Speedway replied to Hunters's topic in National League Speedway
Big shame for Eastbourne as this should have been a big crowd puller however with the mockery of guests etc it now looks quite flat. Has probably swung my decision to attend from very likely to very unlikely. Belle Vues team was always liable to have riders missing given so many double uppers but all 3 heat leaders is a bit of a joke. -
If every club face charges for lying Speedway would close down tomorrow. The Saul thing was just badly conveyed and nothing would ever stick.....could have had work commitments, they changed but Eastbourne honored the guest they had booked, equipment not ready in time, race suit still having adjustments made the list would be endless.

Could be wrong but certainly looked like Jack Thomas blew his GTR up at Kent on Monday?

Wish Daryl all the best for the future. Ive given him a hard time in the past but he was a solid NL rider who never really got the chance to kick on due to injuries. Obviously if his heart isn't in it then its the right decision. -
Kent V Birmingham Mon 12th June
Sings4Speedway replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in National League Speedway
It was all about how Layne handled it. If he had waved or taken a bow fans would have laughed along. It was out of character for several Brum riders to be so gee'ed up so i suspect Mr Drury may have some influence on that. -

Completely agree. Bit of banter amongst fans is great but heckling & booing is deplorable. Very nearly changed my forum name after monday night. Edit - have changed. -

Peterborough Panthers 2017
Sings4Speedway replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Agreed although he looked back to his old self on Monday & with much higher confidence. That said he is clearly struggling at P'Boro. I personally think he has what it takes to make it in the Championship but feel its the wrong home track for him to excel.
