And presumably that's why he was at the End of Season bash on Friday evening - discussing terms for when he comes back into the team just before the play-offs

Nice to see 6 of this year's Championship winning team at the end of season do last night.

    Plymouth Gladiators 2024

Well obviously if your promotion, for example, suggests a points limit below 38 because he thinks it's fair and sensible you can perhaps understand if other promoters having spent weeks trying to put together a team with a 38 limit decide to throw it out.

    Glasgow Tigers 2024

Welcome to the Glasgow Tigers 2024 page, but thought I'd mention something that has got nothing to do with 2024. Just watched the 2023 Grand Final home leg on BSN - its really worth watching. If you don't know the score, Glasgow won 52-38.

    Jubilee final!!!!!

I don't mind Poole hosting a meaningless end of season challenge. But to even suggest that this match is the final of a tournament held in 2022 is an absolute joke. In reality it is a one off meeting featuring the current Poole team racing against a bunch of riders willing to take a guest booking whilst wearing a Leicester racejacket.

That was my point! He will be brilliant at home, has an excellent style and at times was very very fast. With Bomber hopefully signed he'll also get proper advice. Remember if its a 38 point limit I don't think there will be many away wins. Indeed the way things are you could win the league by just winning your home matches.

With the loss of 4 riders and assuming Bomber, Lee and Ace remain we need riders that can score well at Ashfield and who are also likely to improve. Winning our home matches has to be the priority. So to me Connor Bailey is a no brainer. Thereafter who knows.

Really - perhaps its Dayle Wood?
  9. What Marcin scored at the BSN final is irrelevant. The Tigers team only got 28! The track was different last night so you can't just assume Marcin would have had a nightmare that's just illogical.
  10. I know its been difficult for you and I can understand your frustration but thought I'd add some facts to your emotional outbursts. From the BSPL web site, Marcin Nowak's Rolling Average from 14 meetings was 7.16. His real average (not Green Sheet) based on his 10 meetings this year was 6.70. His home average was 6.30 and his away average was 7.25. Now do you really think these are the figures of a "no hoper"?

    Berwick 2024

Suppose Stuart is just looking after number one. There's uncertainty over Leicester (Premier league), still up for sale. Birmingham have suggested that thanks to the stadium owners its Monday nights (Premier league) or no speedway. So he's been offered a job in a lower division, it's closer to home and he's not getting any younger. Add in the 'fact' he's always loved Berwick and....... (fill in the usual statements) and it's obviously a no brainer .
  12. Are you saying that Bomber Harris was wrong to defer gate choice to Heat 15 for the first leg and therefore doesn't know what he is doing?
  13. We want the 1st leg, so perhaps Wednesday morning would suit. The Glasgow riders can fly down to Bournemouth airport on the Allied Vehicles private plane and be in plenty of time for the 2nd leg.
  14. I think most Glasgow fans want the first leg and Poole the second. So if only the weather would play ball and allow it to happen.
  15. Let's look forward. We have qualified for the final and who thought after heat 4 we would have done so. The most important thing is no mistakes, exclusions, falls, etc over both legs and lets see where that takes us.
  16. Where you work has no bearing on the weather at Ashfield. The sun being out in the city centre doesn't mean its out at the track and even if it was it wouldn't necessarily dry out the track in a few hours when the temperature is relatively low as it is in October. I believe some dry shale was put on to try and get a better mix but another shower put paid to that. This also caused problems for the starts. Finally why would we deliberately doctor the track when we showed we could beat them a few weeks earlier.
  17. Back to Glasgow v Oxford. If you haven't watched the stream try and do so. This shows that Lee Complin's move in heat 14 was totally brilliant. He bombed under Lewi Kerr on the third bend and created a huge hole for Tom Brennan to come from third to first resulting in a 5-1 that all but won us the match on aggregate. It was good when you saw it but I can't stop watching it on repeat.
  18. The track prep was daft was it? I take it you were fast asleep when it was battering down with rain for the previous few days. And there was no heat to dry things out. People were suggesting it would be off but the track staff got it rideable and it went ahead. We won in the end by doing to Oxford what they done to us in the first leg through grit and determination. Hopefully the weather gods will be kinder this weekend.
  19. 16 points down on aggregate after heat 4 and we win by 4, someone wake me I must be dreaming. Very well done to every Tiger.
  20. Just a reminder, Glasgow v Oxford tomorrow night 7.30pm. Sorry for interrupting the thread.
  21. BSPL web site previews the match and provides team details. REDCAR: Danny King, Danyon Hume, Connor Bailey, Justin Sedgmen, Erik Riss, Jason Edwards, Luke Harrison.GLASGOW: Chris Harris, Tom Brennan, Benjamin Basso, Claus Vissing r/r, Vadim Tarasenko, Lee Complin, Jack Smith. Will it go ahead? What's the weather like in Poole? Redcar to win with Erik scoring a bundle of points.
  22. Vissing got injured in Denmark after signing for Sheffield
  23. Anything you say Richard, apart from the bit you say you are a Tigers fan. You might go along to home meetings but in no sense are you a fan.
  24. Are you real? Photos showing happy riders and fans posing for photos should only be taken if you win a title????? You'll be saying next that the Glasgow fans shouldn't stand up, cheer, wave flags and toot airhorns after each race. My god how dare they and the riders actually enjoy themselves. No wonder Leicester is up for sale with fans like you!
  25. Exactly and Cami did say that from what I recall.
