Yes I have meetings from Vojens on DVD but I did attend the 1988 World Final there...just didn't recognise it. -

Blimey! Didn't recognise it as I have been there! -

This is a stadium I've not visited...looks very neat? Another great thread! -
I would never have got that!
-
Trouble is I don't know how to transfer images to this or any other site? Took me two weeks to sort out my new phone thru' basically trial and error!
-
I would have said same?
-
T'was the HLI Lubricants that gave me a clue?
-
Next one lads and lassies!
-
Randy Green?

Gordon was the middle one. I think that Barney (Brian) is still very active on social media and I found him very entertaining when interviewed on "The History of Canterbury Speedway" DVD. There is a fourth brother, Tracy, who never rode speedway.
-
I, too, thought Martin Dixon when I first saw the image.
-
Is Andy a clue or "Red Herring?" I guessing that he was Kent based being sponsored by Shornespeed?
-
Meanwhile back on topic no it's not Andy but I'm familiar with the style but stuggling with a name?
-
I've been out all day but some terrific banter!
-
Apparently there was a minute's applause for Gordon prior to the recent meeting. A true legend at Cowley.
-
A similar comment I made on this very topic drew a usual cynical "like" from said suspect who I've sent a PM to which hasn't apparently been read as yet!
-
Boo! Great thread despite the usual negativity of a certain individual.
-
John Titman? I think I was just beaten to it!!
-
Stan Bear?

That's correct...I think that it was 1980 when he realised he was tiring very quickly and drinking lots of water. He used to eat a Mars bar before meetings if I recall?
