British Speedway vice-chairman Rob Godfrey said: “There was a serious risk of damaging the credibility of our sport because of the guest riders switching clubs after the first leg.

“We all agreed this cannot be allowed to happen at a time when the sport is enjoying such a high profile with a British World Champion crowned at the weekend.

It clearly say's above and I quote 'We all agreed this cannot be allowed to happen'

That's fine, it was a bit silly.. But they give Poole a rider who only fits for 1 leg, where the both fit if it was the other way around... Only in UK speedway

Let’s make one thing very clear with people using facts and figures - up to 27th September Nick Morris average is 6.74 - Brady is 6.75 this is confirmed on the Swindon speedway site!

Nope. These are the averages you go by  Morris 6.91 Kurtz 6.75.

    Speedwaygp green sheet averages

It's great that 1 rider is riding for each team, but Poole have a rider that was not/ is not legal in the second leg..

It fits the other way around...

I'm guessing Fords toys started to launch out of his pram, so they bent the rules for him :nono:

Reading the above, there are 2 rules which need to change as a matter of course.

The first one is that a rider cannot ride for both teams in the final.

The second rule is that riders from the rwo defeated semi final teams also become allegeable to be used as guests.

Totally agree with that SS. Don't agree Adam makes Lynn " far stronger" though. Morris is expected to score more than  Adam Eliis tonight... Well that's what Ford thinks otherwise he would be using Ellis :)

Fans from all different teams have said it makes the sport look a joke when one rider is riding for both teams.

Who is available for a GP rider ? Why couldn't Poole agree for Lynn to use Morris and Poole Ellis for both legs. Job done !! That would be in the interest of the sport at this stage with a TV meeting as well ?

I expect Ford said no, in the interest of Poole, and that's why we have this situation...…. Maybe ??

The rules should say no. If a rider is booked to take place in the final, that ride should automatically be unavailable to the other team. Simple as that.

If the injuries had been reversed, and we had lost a rider today, I would think it abhorent to use a rider who is riding for the opposition in the other leg.

I am most certainly not the only one who thinks this. Facebook and twitter is also in meltdown in the speedway world.

I think Poole would do anything within the rules to win, and would do the same if it benifited them.. How dare Lynn do it once !!. You can't blame Lynn if its legal.

You  seem dodge questions you don't like. The rules should say, but they don't.

Yes - and no one has ridden yet!  Ellis will ride for KL first!  The simple and best solution is for Morris to ride both legs for KL and Ellis to ride both for Poole - it makes sense!

My guess, and it might be just how my mind works . Is that Poole may of been  asked about Morris for Lynn and Ellis for Poole over the 2 legs in the interest of the sport, and Ford might of said no, in the interest of Poole. Perfectly legal.

So in the interest of Lynn Buster might using which ever rider is available on the nights when Poole don't want them. Perfectly legal it seems. Although not ideal.

Now we get Poole fans talking about "In the interest of the sport".

No rules have been broken. But I hope something can be sorted out.

Will add more "fire to" the final if it does happen though.

Who caused this scenario? Buster Chapman. He knew Ellis was riding for Poole in the second leg.

Do you think if Lynn had asked Ford if they can use Morris for both and Poole use Ellis he would of said "Yes good idea, and  it would be in the best interests of the sport" ?

    I'm not so sure..

If Ford would agree, then I can't see why Buster would want Adam. Just a thought.
