  1. KING’S Lynn supporters will be able to get their first taste of 2024 track action when press and practice takes place on Tuesday March 19.

The Stars are building up to the new Sports Insure Premiership season and fans can watch the practice session at the Adrian Flux Arena from 6pm.

Earlier in the day riders, management and sponsors will be fulfilling various media commitments along with team activities.

The stadium will be open to the public from 6pm with admission free, and collection buckets will be present for Ben Fund donations.

The on-track session is expected to last around two hours and will be followed by a Meet The Riders event in the bar.

Season ticket holders will be able to collect their tickets on the night. If you are unable to attend, these will also be available for collection at our opening home meeting on Thursday March 28, or by arrangement.

And if Buster hadn't signed them, another club would have.As a point of interest Puk has ridden more seasons for the stars than the panthers, Ben Basso was rumoured to be coming last year anyway, we've got our team manager back, and Buster put his hand in his pocket to sign Tarasenko and woydlo last season anyway, so why shouldn't he have first option. If your rich fairy godfather had put his money where his mouth is and used the land he supposedly had access to to build a track you might have been running next season. If it wasn't for buster you wouldn't have had the dads army  title winning team, the panthers would have either folded or been in the championship!

    Agree.

People knew about the PB situation before the season started, thats why we got the new stadium talk/ waffle from you know who.. As the PB fans know, Lynn finished bottom the year PB won the title. Buster brought riders in after CJ left him in the poo, and those riders helped PB to win a good few meetings nearer the end of last season, which dumped He's beloved Lynn bottom yet again. I would like to think that real speedway fans would realise that Lynn might well of suffered after Buster took over at PB.. And that it's just Buster that they are pissed off with, and not the fans.. With  regard's the riders, I suspect that several teams were talking to their/ Busters riders before the season had finished. No surprise that Buster was too, as you say.. He bought them over :t:

No one knows if Buster has taken that "brown envelope" that some have wrongly spoke of. We will find out in the end, no doubt..And he will get deserved flack from all angles, if he has.  I hope that TM eventually puts his money were his mouth is, and helps the Panthers build a new track elsewhere. But i'm not holding my breath..

I'm no Chapman fan but I'm also not blinkered & fair. I've defended Chapman alot over this myself & as I said, most Peterborough fans came to terms with closure until Tomlin started shooting his mouth.

Micheal Tomlin is the problem in all this, not Chapman. This guy promised to buy the ownership & trapped off about land to build a new track & it all kicked off from there.

Has he now ran off & left it to Bratley & Johnson to figure out?? Don't hear much of Tomlin's name to save the club now do we??

I'm the same Daniel. I've been getting it since NP did half a lap.. MT did indeed promise the world, and got the fans buzzing. i believe "i'm a winner" and "the new Man city of speedway" was mentioned. Oh dear!! . Then we had his right hand man at the time CJ having a go at the fans for only just paying to get in, or something similar. Then he bailed out and left Buster in the brown stuff. Oh and in a statement he said they were looking at land, and that they had " some waiting"..

We have had Mick Bratley on this forum standing up for Buster twice. Once stating that if Buster didn't remove the fence and lights, they would get someone in and bill Buster. Some still moaned, and Mick said" Believe me, Buster ain't the bad guy here"..

So for me, until someone can prove Buster has took a brown envelope, my opinion will not change. I know he's far from perfect, and no doubt it will come out in the end.

I have no doubt the consortium are doing their best. And wish them the very best.  MT was listed as a part of that btw. Don't know if that's still the case.

But he was powerless to stop the horse from bolting. They just ain’t having Speedway at the Showground and he was told that. He knew he was pi$$ing in the wind and wasn’t prepared to chase unicorns. The consortium have now found that out for themselves. The slanderous accusations on here over the past 6 months from the likes of TTT and the sheep that followed, accusing Chapman of taking “brown envelopes” to ensure the closing of Peterborough speedway have been absolutely staggering.

My likes are not working. But i agree with the brown envelope thing. To premature and wrong to  even suggest such things... It will come out in the end i'm sure.

I've been very quiet on this for a while now, but reading this has started my engine again :)

I hoped for speedways and Birmingham's sake that the Brummies could have a succesful year but 2.59 under the points limit........ not good.

I made it 1.6 with the 2 latest additions increased averages :t: But would of been over 4 if they hadn't " re assessed" their averages, which would of looked silly. Mean while i think Magics went down.

NKI will likely go down the same route of decline as Hans did so not as unlikely as you may think right now

To be fair, wont every rider if they ride long enough. I admit in Greg's case it might of been 55 though :) I expect NKI to keep, or get close to his 6.64 average next season myself. Would i have him again in 2025, that would be no....What we can't do is drop a non performing rider, or replace an injured rider for someone no better, when we have points to spare, if we really are going for a play off place.

So the problem wasnt Artem being able to commit to all the meetings and more that Alex didnt himself.......

All i can say is i was told AL had signed for all the meetings under Alex, but as we know shortly afterwards Alex departed. I suspect Buster re negotiated the deal, as he said himself that money was a problem after he took over from Alex.

  7. Re Laguta. I think i can safely  that say that after Alex's disagreement with Buster, that he agreed a deal with Alex that he would ride in all meetings. With a concern for Wolves. But he signed for it. and the pairs btw. That was before Alex left..  We know Buster was struggling at mid way through the season, after Alex  and CJ bailed out..

Personally i think  the Laguta deal was re negotiated by Buster and meetings after that... i  believe that  if the money was there, Laguta would be. A deal between Buster and AL..Just my personal opinion, i'll add.. Alex told me he wouldn't of signed him if he couldn't commit to all the meetings........ Believe it if you wish.............

As i have said Buster was never going to run in the club in 24...Whilst it has been know for ages, i'm surprised that the consortium wasn't put together earlier, or started the campaign earlier.  Going by the statement it looks like he might not be the **** that a lot  have been calling him on here all season, after all.. Still time i hear some say...

We will just have to see how it develops, i guess.. I'm not getting in to a slanging match about it on here btw .Had enough of it.. Would just be interested what others make of it.
