For free . I'd imagine that a "new" Coventry would attract decent crowds with a good team. Probably just the cynic in me.

But he has helped keep the Prem going, at the determent of his King's Lynn at times. I know he's far from perfect though

Could there be something in it for him, down the line? I thought he said he could run it? I might be way off, but thought i'd read it somewhere.

Anders said he was 99.9% promised but they changed their mind.
Brummies now look very uncertain to have a track next season let alone go up.
Ford's have explained reasons for stepping down and long term future at Wimborne Road far from secure either.
Poole fans... Would Matt Ford go back up to PL to ensure there was a PL and to ensure Eurosport deal wasn't broken.
Matt Ford will do what's best for Matt Ford, imho.

No 2nd leg listed on the Speedway GB site fixture list.

Poole should breeze this.

These 2 put bums on seats and provide huge entertainment…. I’ve bask going Foxhall since 1985 and I can’t remember the atmosphere being as good
We won the cup and almost (should have ) won the league
I love to win a trophy and the cup final night was epic….. however I also like to enjoy watching
Not sure how this fits
1. Emil
2. ?
3.King
4. ?
5. Doyle
6. Rew
7. Dan Thompson
What does that leave?
Is there room for Brennan or one of the Cook brothers ….. even if this means Rew going to 2 or 4
Got to say wouldn’t want Erik back …. Nice guy but so far off it and looks hesitant in races
Emil 10.10
Doyle 9.12
King 7.05 ( with British deduction)
Rew 4.00
Leave's you 8.73 for the last 2 riders in the 1-6 if team building stays at 39
TB 5.87 with reduction, BC 6.00, ZC 5.10

I'd bloody love it if true. Team building average must be something like 42.00 if that's the case.Probably dreaming, but us Lynn fans, more than deserve a good team i think
Vadim
NKI
Lawson
Harris
Basso
Freddie ( If his 2017 average of 9.29 was still used)
41.90

Tarasenko 6.94
Iversen 6.64
Lawson 6.41
Harris 6.37
Basso 6.25Leaves 6.39 if team average is 39:00 again.
Solid throughout but would still prefer to see someone like Wojdylo at reserve and the extra points used for a No 1.
But is there one available that we can afford and wants to come?
If not, then there is certainly strength in depth in this team. Basso at reserve on 6.25
Same here. A decent No.1 is needed imho.

Id rather Taresenko than Klindt myself, given NK's recent injury. But thats just my opinion

1. Tarasenko
2. NKI
3. Klindt
4. Lawson
5. Bomber
6. Basso
7. Rowe
Over. But with Bomber and Lawson geting the 2.5% British reduction it brings it down to over a point under last seasons (39.00) at 37.83.
Not far out from my team. But i feel we need to use all the points available and must have a proper No1 for Ht's 13 and 15

I might be wrong, but didn't Buster buy it to save the Prem and TV deal at the time ?
I wonder why Ged sold a well run, profit making club? He must of had his reasons i guess.

28 minutes ago, Pinny said:He was pissing Lynn about as well so its hard to imagine Chapman to continue paying for his services at another club of his? It must of been financed from someone else.
After Buster took over at Lynn, i do wonder if Laguta missing some Lynn meetings was a mutual thing? I know KC said the team was way over his budget when he took over, and no doubt would of re negotiated AL's contract that he had with Alex.
With PB i don't know TBH. Crowds were a lot better there.

14 minutes ago, Pinny said:You are one of the fans I was referring to when I mentioned Lynn fans being fed up of him for years. I was talking about Bald Bloke more than anyone as all season long he has defended Chapman.
I’ve had plenty of moments over the years where I’ve had a good moan about Buster and the Lynn team. I know he’s far from perfect..
But this season I think he has taken the blame for everything at both clubs, unfairly sometimes. He was as good as retired at the start of the season, but has had to step in at both clubs for no fault of his own, and has managed to keep them going until the end of the season. He signed riders near the end of the season for PB that gave his KL the wooden spoon.

2 minutes ago, Daniel Smith said:Tried explaining this loads but Peterborough fans keep saying "there's nothing to sell". They don't seem to realise the rights Chapman holds.
They don't understand Chapman owns the rights to the team being called 'Peterborough' in the city. He owns the the naming rights of 'Panthers'. Regardless of the fans opinion Chapman sees that these things have a monetary value & those are to be valued as he sees fit. If he wants £10k or £1m, that's the price, if it's not paid they'll be no 'Peterborough' 'Panthers'.
Agree. What i was trying to say, 1 Valve has summed it up perfectly. If Buster sold it for next to nothing now, and a year down the line the developers had to provide another site and stadium, Buster would have lost a lot of money. I'm pretty sure Buster's asking price has that in mind.

6 minutes ago, 1 valve said:On the matter of valuation. When it comes to an acquisition it will be necessary to determine if the intended purchase is that of a "going concern" or an "asset only purchase purchase". If it is the latter then you are correct, it should be straightforward to reach an agreement of the value of the required material assets.
However, the current owner is almost certain to regard this as a sale of a business (it is immaterial that it does not have a place to ply trade from) and as such the valuation of a going concern (even if not currently trading) will take into account both tangible and intangible assets.
Put another way, the current owner would not just be selling lights and a safety fence, but the club name, history and license to promote etc and so should a place be found to ply the trade then the new owners would immediately benefit from the goodwill (intangible asset) involved i.e. the supporter base, sponsors, Press relations to name a few. The alternative being, amongst other things, buy new lights safety fence, track equipment find a place to trade (hold meetings) then apply for a promoters license for a new club using a new name.
It will be interesting to see which way this matter goes.Thanks. Put a lot better than i could

Buster needs to be reasonable for a change by agreeing a quick sale at a reasonable price in order to give the consortium the best chance going forwards, The guy has been a thorn in people's sides for far too long now.
Massive thank you goes out to those who are part of the consortium (You know who you are), Your effort and passion for the club hasn't gone unnoticed.
At first glance it looks like the club is worth what the lights, air fence are worth. Should be an easy straightforward deal on the face of it. But, I did read on here several months ago, that there is something written in a contract( i think) that says that if the stadium was demolished, a new site and amenities would have to be provided? If that is the case, and it does eventually happen, Peterborough speedway will have a safe new stadium, and be worth a lot more money..
If this is correct, then unfortunately, the sale might drag on for a while yet?
