I get shot down on here WK for preferring being entertained over having a winning team what is more important to you.?

Was it common knowledge that some second halves were shared between the riders ? saying that i still miss the old second halves.

The princible is it would not of mattered who the rider was, a crazy rule that does not need to be there in the first place.

A mistake have you ever known someone who left and resigned from a job.Yet after realising he /she had made a mistake went back and got there old job back i have if he was coming back at the end of the month i might of understood it.

Just shows you what a joke Speedway is at times with these crazy rules Auty makes a mistake and retires and loses his British Final place.He comes back on the 11th so why cant he ride ?i am sure Wilko would of understood.Auty he qualified on merit and to think Auty/Scunny could of lied and said he was injured when he made his rash decision stupid rules and no common sense used at all.

I felt he underachieved on his day he was a super rider at Swindon aquipment and consistency was a problem.

. He was a great team man and he is a example of a dedicated one club man.Ie he was a very exciting rider to watch and was very underrated indeed.

I only go to home meetings and a few other meetings when work allows .And when i see a good race my enthusiasm comes back but overall not the same for me and i still miss the drama of the old WC.Bruno a question that you would know better than me were Arthur Price and Steve Bastable both underachievers for your club Price looked really good at times.

Surely Somerset wont agree to this fixture i hope not no more guests please.

Bruno do you still enjoy your speedway as much as you ever have or like me sometimes you go more so on habit.

Beat a real tough and talented team in Italy this Brazil side certainly the best international side ever. I think the 1970 England side was there best ever side i wonder if they had not of subbed sir Bobby what might have been.?

The Liverpool sides 1976/77 and the Dalglish side along with the Invincibles and dirty Leeds are the best sides i have ever seen.

In the Bates days your club was desperado, without the Russian the club would of been nearly zilch.Strange really Chelsea have done well the last twenty years and fair play to them.

How many extra go each week ER because they are winning at the Abbey ? the odd handful maybe that is a problem speedway has ER if you dont entertain how do you expect to entice a new viewer on a regular basis and take over from the old codgers.😜 You could be right but speedway needs to worry about replacing the diehards like us, in the future it looks bleak.

Again they will sell out 61,000 everyweek whatever way they play but most football fans now are so fickle anyway.As a example if George Graham came back and tried to win 1.0 and play his way in this day and age he would not last the course.At Man Utd are they happy with the way they play? no it is slow football under Busby,Ferguson they were used to attacking being entertained and winning being entertained surely is important.?

Dont buy that one bit not in speedway anyway, most Speedway fans like us diehards will go everyweek anyway.But a first time visitor will not go back and with the fixture list the way it is alot of people are getting out the habit of going and have found other things to do.My point is getting the product right being entertained after paying 17 quid.That is more important than winning everyweek and not enjoying your night out you would rather win than be entertained so we differ on that.

I think you are so wrong about this winning thing,of course it helps but a few people i know who did use to go regular dont go everyweek now because of the entertainment aspect.You dont mind putting a with a poor nights entertainment as long as your team wins that is strange to me WIN everyweek but watch crap racing does that makes sense.?

You were the one moaning and groaning about Grondal right? and that was the right move.My take is how can riders perform when they know there could be willy nilly changes every five minutes.If he makes a change Rosco why say something before the fifteen v Rye House and NO you are WRONG not everything is about winning.My first priority would be to get the racing better at the Abbey and to produce more entertainment for the crowd which lets be honest apart from a handfull of races this season has been average at best.Also Orion would you rather have a team that we can identify with or a team who make regular changes.? Does the averages come out on the fifteen v Rye House? surely within reason he would of identified his targets already.

What a joke this sport is change after change to win at all costs, and the funniest thing is how Rosco doesn't know what the averages are why.?

Ashby when he came second to Ole in the BLRC (Briggo helped him) really upped his game he had some really good years 1971/ 77.To watch him everyweek was a privilage he had brilliant trackcraft and he would be up there for me as one of the better passers of his generation.Briggs, Broady, Ashby,Kilby,Autrey,(only a year) Crump, Adams, and now Doyley all of us as Budgie fans have been very lucky to have seen all of these legends riding for us.

Mauger(not often) Olsen, Wilson, Middleton, ,E.Boocock (he took the Silver Sash from Briggo once) very few beat Briggo.Middleton what a talent he was he had a reputation but he was well liked a bit like Jack Millen.A real hard man reputation but was great with the young riders and would help anyone.

Quite right and we could put on one hand the people who beat a peak Briggo at the Abbey.

Now Josh Auty has retired would Lambert maybe get that spot or is it the first reserve qualifier from the Scunny Semi Final.?
