Certainly if King misses those meetings a definite no go.Fricke is the key for me if he shows his European form he could be a number 1 i have always rated the lad.The two young reserves stick with them hopefully it is not to soon but i am sure at home they will cope away a learning year for them
-
King for Bjerre certainly a play offs team i am not so sure with Bjerre in it an attractive team nonetheless.
-
King/Bates yes Bjerre no.

Have had Sky since the beginning but i am seriously thinking of knocking them on the head now .I have the BT sports channel and the Racing Channel if i change who should i go with?.I only watch the football/Boxing and Eurosport on sky the rest is crap.

Who Were The Better Team Belle Vue Or Cradley Heath.?
Sidney the robin replied to Sidney the robin's topic in Years Gone By
Belle Vue v Cradley looking at it Ivan over Erik) PC/Sjosten over King/Wigg, Pusey over Collins, Grahame over Broadbelt Pedersen/Ravn over Eyre/Wilkinson Belle Vue just shade it also with Ivan's brilliance. If Penhall had been in it then it could of been different. -
Do you honestly think we would of been second in any other format,Not a chance be real and this year without Tai who knows plenty of woes me thinks.😀
-
We came a false second last year with Tai carrying the England team. Also the crappy double points rule helped us cover over our limitations as a speedway nation. If nothing changes soon we will slip down even further down the rankings. There is hope though with the right guidance Bates,Ellis,Bewley,Smith,Parkinson Blackburn,Hume,Wood,Jenkins,Bickley,Brennan we have the talent there one or two of those could push on only with change though i hope so anyway.

I was like you Brum i was never a fan for me he looked out of his depth in his first year in the GPS.I thought he was lucky to get an invite without qualifying but boy has he turned his career around bigtime.I admire him so much for that hard work and graft dedication and TALENT has bagged him two titles.Maybe losing his dad really made him change spurred him on and he for me will win more titles i hope so anyway.
-
How many riders over the years have i heard that about, loads in my time watching speedway. On the other hand how many people really like Tai respect him and like him as a person quite alot i think.
-
My OPINION means nothing ok i am entitled to it. But does TAI worry about what people think on this forun NO is the answer.
-
Apart from this forum which to be honest does not count for anything i dont hear many people slagging Tai off.He has opinions and to be honest alot of what he says about England is true anyway ,i just enjoy watching him ride the other stuff is irrelevent to me.

"unlucky" Riders, Always In The Wrong Place, At The Wrong Time.

The reason i rate Crump so highly is that at times he single handidly carried the Budgies. Also in 75/76 he genuinely had a chance of being WC on the Streety conversersion.Should he have left that engine in 75 just for the Final?? who knows. For me how lucky was i to see Briggs,Crump,Adams,Ashby, all terrific riders in there own right Adams to me was just like Simmo he made speedway look so easy. -

Are Emil and the Pawlicki lads definate starters.? -
But bright anough to have his own business interests and have a healthy lifestyle after his speedway career ends.Me for one would be more than happy to let him have a huge input on how Britain as a speedway nation moves forward.
-
That top four looks powerful and two mega promising young uns at reserve who i believe will be fine at home. Away could be a learning process for both young lads but for me it is just great that the supporters still have a great team to support.

King is a no brainer it would be a great signing he could really kick on loves the track.

A really good option it makes sense but this joke of a sport is dictacted by numbers with no common sense and flexibility. -

Agree totally Salty, Boulger was a real rider unheralded really tough as old boots/Fair class and when you talk about Aussie riders i recon him and Airey get forgotten.Ask Crumpie/Billy how good Boulger was both would of said he was some rider. -
SAD day for me a great club hope it is not all doom and gloom and they will be back. What makes me ANGRY could this have been avoided? i think so.

Boulger is another unsung hero top class for me,Schwartz great value terrific team man and he was good his individual record says not.Going back to Cradley signed Michanek that was a funny period but after that ie) penhall,Gundersen, King , Collins Grahame,Cross,Wigg,Pedersen ,Handberg ,Hancock, they chose well. -
Simon Wigg Or Kelvin Tatum?
Sidney the robin replied to scottyfan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
First see Wigg ride in the 82 British Final as a NL rider then later on i see alot of him for Oxford. As i remember he was quite up and down at times but at his best he was very good.Tatum for me was a hell of a gater very fast and i remember him in the pairs with Carter for me though Simon edges it just. -

Did you start going to Cradley after the Brown,Andrews.Trigg era? maybe you started in the Bernie P,Cribby, Johnny B era?.I always felt riding Cradley as an away rider must of been tough a unique track i loved my visits there i remember a 11 oclock morning start v Swindon one year. -

Bruno have been going to speedway since 69 and from 1990 really lost interest in speedway.I still went to Swindon everyweek but didn't enjoy it as much when Jason Crump come on the scene that sparked things again for me.Have been as keen as mustard ever since lucky i suppose both my boys loved speeedway at a young age therefore i kept going.
