    Poole v Wolves Premiership A. 23/5/18

Thanks for the information- I’ve been many times so know how busy the car park gets but had heard about the delays earlier in the year with the roadworks. Hoping to come down early and enjoy the sunshine

    Poole v Wolves Premiership A. 23/5/18

Hello, can someone please advise if the roadworks that were taking place outside the stadium have now been completed? Thanks,

    Poole 2018

By my calculations they aren't able to sign anyone above Harris' average unless they change the rules again.

    Poole 2018

Of the teams declared top riders I can only see Rye House and Belle Vue who have a worse top rider - i.e. number one - than us. This is compounded even further when you take Jacob's away form into account.

    Poole 2018

Think Wolves are getting weaker with every other team announcement. Think we will suffer by not having a recognised number one and weak reserves.
  6. If Ermolenko is at Birmingham that will be a big disappointment given the news in the programme last night that we might need a new front man at Wolves.
  7. Somerset website says Nicholls is the guest
  8. Never understood the logic behind the price increase for the Final other than an attempt to rip off fans. Even Swindon restricted their increase to £1 for adults and no increase for concessions.
  9. Haven't forgotten Hyde Road at all - its a shame it was lost to the sport. Hi Fred .......wonderful assessment of my post - not - the subtlety of it was obviously lost on you - each to his own
  10. Not sure if BV would want to race on Friday as isn't Fricke in the World U21s ? In any case the weather forecast for Friday is just as bad.
  11. awwwww we were so upset to lose it as well (Heavy Sarcasm) - maybe if the riders had engaged their throttle hands a bit more it wouldn't have been so bad. Either way the BSPA were lucky to have Wolves to stage it when no other track wanted it !! I wonder how many crashes there would have been at the Old Belle Vue
  12. Have to say it is really amusing seeing Belle Vue fans bigging up their track after all the years of rubbish served up at Kirky Lane. I suppose you are all overdue some good racing after the tripe you have witnessed there and is hardly suprising you get a bit carried away with a couple of years of decent racing Here at Wolves we are pretty laid back over things as we have been used to great racing on a great track for years on end.
  13. The racing at Somerset is the best I've seen this year - I'd place that track above the NSS.
  14. Wolves still is one of the best. The quality of racing is down at all tracks since the introduction of the new silencers compared to the Golden Era that you started your post with.
  15. and that information was from someone at the SCB Should have known better than believe it
  16. Team being discussed on the terraces was R/R at 1, Howarth at 2, then perm any from Jacob, Nicholls, A.N.Other, Newman and Perry.
  17. Perks is riding for Somerset as is Ashley Morris

Poole V Swindon Semi Final 1st Leg 11/9/17

Poole seem to be hitting form at the right time and Swindon seem to have hit a flat spot as they struggle at reserve. Could be interesting.

    Swindon Vs Wolves 31/8/17

Bit disappointed with the performance. Masters looked much better and was unlucky with engine failures. Apart from heat 15 Freddie was quite poor - he was lucky in the Tactical Ride that Aarnio had engine failure as he was never going to catch him, and then let Morris past on the last bend after being well in front. No matter how many times our riders go to Swindon they never look fast enough. Greaves was the victim of over trying in the ride that he got injured - he made a great gate and was just over riding when he spun and fell - can't fault him for enthusiasm.

Fixed Race Nights For 2018 Season

Don't Sweden ride on Thursdays aswell as Tuesdays?
  21. Very true - I think CVS has the ability to see the bigger picture and would have appreciated it would have been common sense to call it off if at all possible.
  22. Surely if both promotions agreed to the second match being called off the referee should have shown some common sense and agreed to it being called it off. What am I saying - Common Sense? Speedway? - the two things simply don't co - exist. Rarity rather than the rule.
  23. Number 8s have long since been consigned to the bin - no one names a number 8 anymore for R/R - I assume because they don't want to pay expenses for another rider travelling but not getting a ride. When we had the old second halves it was much simpler as they would get a ride in the scratch races but with no guaranteed ride now they would expect to be paid.

    Poole 2018

I don't think there is much chance of Ipswich and Sheffield moving up under the current regime - they have been sold down the river previously so probably wouldn't want to risk it again. The Championship seems in a far better position than the Premiership so why would they want to move up?

    Poole Vs Wolves 16/8/17

Good performance by Wolves to rescue a point after the disaster of the first 2 heats. Only Peter Adams knows why Perks had four rides during the meeting as he never looked like scoring and at least Greaves was gating. It looked a surprisingly good crowd in light of the past few results for Poole - not sure where they all came from as when I turned up at 7 there wasn't the customary queue and the stand was deserted. A shame that Jacob pulled a horrendous wheelie in heat 14 that got him rightly excluded - maybe the rain that was falling by then had a an effect on the track which caused him to lift - but he made up for that by winning heat 15 to guarantee the bonus point.
