  1. One of the most sporting things tonight had to be Jonsson letting Pedersen past after their big clash, don't think I've ever seen a rider move his head telling him to go back past after something like that before.

    Hans Andersen

Who was the ref tonight, they never said and I didn't recognise him. Being British and not particulary liking Andersen I have to say it was completely the wrong call, the ref made the call before wtahcing the replays. Any contact was very minimal and not enough for Harris to go down.

    Chris Louis

Got to say what a great move by Middlo putting Louis in tonight, NOT! Thought Louis was suppose to be good round Reading and on great form at the moment? He was pretty terrible, Stead got more from 3 rides on Thursday. I could never see the point of puting someone as old as Louis in and maybe wrecking Stead's confidence in the progress. Hopfully Stead will stuff Middlo on Monday at Belle Vue! Time for Middleditch to step down and let someone else have a go.
  4. 20 Heat format. £10 adults, £5 OAPS, Kids Free. Riders confirmed : Josh Auty Tai Woffinden Ben Taylor Ben Hopwood Charles Wright Adam McKinna Adam Roynon Jack Roberts John Oliver John Branney Barry Burchatt Karl Mason Paul Burnett Byron Bekker Kris Irving David Haigh
  5. Not a bad meeting, crowd was pretty much exactly the same size as last year apparently. It was 31 degrees still when I got there about 6.45. and still 25 degrees when I left at 10:15! The track had been well watered though before hand, this caused a few problems in the early heats as it was very grippy but of course it dry out and slickened off even though they watered it every 4 heats. Adam Roynon was definatly the best rider on show and deserved the win, feel sorry for Barry Burchatt, I'd say he was the second best rider on show but got a bit over excited and was excluded in his first ride when second fighting for the lead and fell in his last heat while second. He was riding a Jason Lyons bike and was helped out by Jason himself. There were quite a few other former and current Belle Vue riders helping riders out in the pits including, Andy Smith, Carl Stonehewer and James Wright. Josh Auty and Tai Woffinden were also fast but not quite as consistent but they are only 15.
  6. Yep from what I gather there is only about 5-6 hotels and none of them are that big.
  7. Beautiful day today, not a cloud in the sky. No sky match tonight and no other reason to stay in so get down to Belle Vue for a cheap night and see some of the best British youngsters in action.
  8. Don't think the team will be changed at all.
  9. I can't remember but we tried Pod Orlem, Brda etc and they were full. If you get in great, maybe they've had some rooms become available since then.
  10. Yep forgot to mention that earlier, Neiminen did well, was always on the pace, just come back from injury also hasn't he? Practised at Belle Vue on Monday after the meeting.
  11. I think GB will get through to the final no problem, probably with Sweden. Final will be close between Australia, Denmark and GB. Think Australia will do it though.
  12. How can they be the best team if they didn't finish with the most points. OK each member may have scored a similar amount but the Aussies scored one 1 point without using tacticals which meant they were the best team on the night. Also Wiltshire had an engine failure when leading plus that crash, they would have won by even more.
  13. Think you were watching a different meeting then, virtually every heat in the last 10 heats had some sort of passing.

  15. What a difference it made when they finally put some water on the track! The last 10 heats or so were great! It was so dusty at the start didn't look like they had watered it at all beforehand! Bet BSI were worrying when Great Britian were leading, would of been a very small crowd on Thursday if they had gone straight through to the final. Last time Australia went straight through to the final they won both times. Somehow don't think they will use Schlein on Saturday, he was dissappointing, think they will use McGowan instead. Think the Great Britian team will stay unchanged, they all rode well tonight. Who came up with the heat format/gate positions! The team in yellow (Australia tonight) having gate 1 in the last two heats!
  16. BET some of you were sweating when Great Britain were leading!!!

    Italy Gp

Our tickets say 8:00 on them. So an hour earlier then last year and an hour later then normal GP's.
  18. Only thing I don't like about that one is that it doesn't have gate positions.
  19. Can't see what all the fuss is, normal admission for an EL meeting is £15 so £10 seems fine for me with an additional 5 heats too. You've got to remember stadium rental (one of the highest in the country), medical cover, insurance etc is all the same as an EL match. The crowd will be a lot lower and the majority will probably be season tickets holders.
  20. If you are talking about for the GP, doubt you will get one, we struggled and that was back in March.

Yeah understand it but they had the winner from heat 21 and 22 , and the winner from heat 23, for the 3 qualifiers. Not sure why they needed a 3rd chance in heat 24.

What was the point in that heat 24? 6 riders go through from one of the ones tomorrow, think its the Slovakia one but I'm not 100%.
