    Edinburgh vs Glasgow 5/4/24

Imo I don't think it would be allowed, as you will be going along the edge of the pits ,all be it far away from the main part we all know what elf and safety rules are like these days, eliminate all risks of anything happening,
  2. Maybe dodgy slimming pills, but looking at photos they are not working
  3. FYI the wind was that strong early afternoon it had blown away one of the Pay gate sheds on turn 2, heaven forbid what may have happened if a crowd was inside the arena . It was extremely windy today more like the wind we get at winter than springtime
  4. Been planted fully grown to shelter the grandstand BSN have stated you won't miss a scheduled meeting from Workington they will show the rearranged meeting or another one so you can still get your worky fix from BSN

You need to go to northside to see the set up as you have it wrong in your head Pits on exit of bend 2 . Seating/ standing on back straight, to access bend 2 and 1 and starting straight, at the moment you have to walk around the outside of the pits to go to bend 1/2 and starting straight. Next year when bend 3 + 4 are filled in you will be able to walk round that way to the start straight etc, it will be taped off when any tractor movements keep this going as them lot over the border don't like it
  6. 40 mph average wind speeds gusts upto 55 mph now would you like to ride a speedway bike with 3 other beside you at 60 mph in this wind ?? And forecast locally to get stronger in the next 3 hours
  7. Car park was soft last week and getting muddy on main access exit points, hope the tiggers fans don't get stuck for too long anyway

A big gap now where the pits and pits gate are on bend 2, this area is by passed by the spectators to access bend 1 and starting straight you go out and round the back of the pits, but hopefully next year you will be able to walk round bend 3 + 4 to access starting straight and bend 1 +2
  9. Comets have posted a video on Facebook showing the trees on the back straight swaying a lot and wind howling
  10. Wind speed average 42 mph gusts 55 mph at St bees head 10 mile from northside GT Tyres arena, and as its next to the sea the wind strength will be similar
  11. I live 1 mile inland from the track and the wind has considerably strengthened since this morning been out for me walk, and in the big gusts, I got blown about, imagine this on a bike at 60mph with 3 others beside you, besides the sea in an exposed arena !!! Also been another extremely soggy week in West Cumbria, granted its dry today, track may have been ok but the car parking could be very soggy, was soft last week. Think the correct decision was made, these days elf and safety rules everything . One major event called off locally due to high winds is the festival of light, where walkers light up the path on catbells, a popular mountain overlooking Keswick . Most people disagreeing about the postponement do not live in the area and don't realise how bad the wind is now getting
  12. Probably wanting a home track advantage Mr Godfrey cheating again
  13. Unfortunately that's been coming all night
  14. Was correct about the soft bit/bump in the track
  15. Watching on stream 30 minutes delay, but that soft spot looks very iffy, hope the riders stay safe, and this at the track of the year, over seen by Mr Godfrey the bspa chief executive. what a shambles

No the 3rd 4th bend is the opposite end to the pits

    Edinburgh vs Glasgow 5/4/24

It will be better next year, as the 3rd 4th bend area is being filled in to carry on banking all round the GT tyres arena,

Wot about your worky friends H18TORY and all that
  19. Point is the said rider was well in the mix, some people on here think the rider is miles behind and off the pace, which on Sunday proved some people wrong, got to remember when worky were accepted into the league in mid November, Godfrey and Co had signed up most of the riders weeks/months earlier , so some out of the box thinking was needed to get a team, at least Celina is keeping the comets in people's minds, wait till antti gets settled in, he is something special, just hope Glasgow don't tap him up
  20. Surly you can't count the Peter craven meeting, she got invited and took the gig, several others in the premiership and championship would not score against the level of riders in that meeting . Also was leading Rory for 2 laps at northside, and Rory has 15 years more experience
  21. Unless it was an Aussie called "the next darcy ward" Well that certain aussie came from a fair bit back in 4th place to win, blasting round the outside was a joy to watch
  22. Sunday was the 1st time competitive racing at this level was ran at GT tyres northside arena, so all riders started at a level playing field, some of the berwick riders have been practicing at the track several times in the last couple of years . All worky riders will get better with more competitive track time

    Plymouth Gladiators 2024

As I previously posted a reply, to this, most riders new to speedway now come from Moto X
  24. So your saying the other clubs(s) that had approached Celina were after publicity points rather than trying to fill a team place ??
