  1. My views on tonight's meeting (Preview) Workington Comets Nicolai Klindt - Looked good last night but never incredibly fast, however his gating was more up to standards as he still battles with his clutch troubles in the UK. Rasmus Jensen - Another impressive home meeting and will take some stopping. Could well be in for another big score tonight but needs to be firing well. Ben Barker (G) - Always impressive but is renowned to not be the fastest from the traps, Looked brilliant for Redcar/Peterborough but not the same last time out in the blue and white. Still good for a decent amount whatever one we get. Rene Bach - A good partner for Ben, been looking good from the gates and is fast enough as shown last night. Ty Proctor - Made a good comeback last night, yet only came out 3 times but looked a lot better since the last time he was at his home track. Also has a point to prove after being left behind on the victory lap following heat 15 Kyle Bickley - Could be in for perhaps his biggest score this season, outpaced Danny at Berwick in 'Stars Of Tomorrow'. Mason Campton - Looked very good (As he has done most of this year) Comets' fans will be hoping for the same as yesterday. Scunthorpe Scorpions Steve Worrall - Not 100% but still good enough to challenge tonight and needs to be as expected from the word "go". Stefan Nielsen - First time at Workington in a long time (I believe so) but is a trier wherever he goes but if the comets are riding like 24 hours prior he might need to surprise a few. Jason Garrity - Always is impressive on the bigger tracks, also fully it and in some form, theoretically should do better than last time. Jake Allen - Shown last time he is very capable but did also run 2 lasts when the Scorpions visited earlier in the season - yet bagged 3 wins and a 2nd. Josh Auty - Unlucky last time up in the North West after a nasty looking crash but is again a rider who knows how to get around Derwent Park as shown in the past. Danny Phillips - Sadly not looking on the best of form and doesn't look to turn it around tonight, but is still capable for a few points on his day. Gino Manzares - Again capable of scoring at least his expected average, and has come into some slightly better form in recent weeks, be nice to see if he can keep it going tonight. Predicted Score Workington - 49 (94) Scunthorpe - 41 (86)

    Derwent Park

Word about is Kirkland Carpets are going to be taking over next year from Thomas Armstrong as new team sponsor so it sounds like we're going for 2019 - All being well
  3. SGB finishing order for heat 1 Wilson-Dean - Somerset Woryna - Poole Doyle - Somerset Kurtz - Poole Score (5-1) How does that work then?

What happened at Berwick? or am I missing something
  7. If we had Bewley and everyone 100% I'm certain we could run anyone for their money out of the other 3. It'll be interesting to see how we go as it's so wide open, personally, I think it's Glasgow's to lose from what I've seen as of late but never say never and every day is different in the land of Speedway
  8. Knew there was someone else said but my fried brain couldn't remember
  9. Not confirming anything but last night there were a few saying we might be trying to get Aaron Summers for this one

    Kent v Belle Vue 10/9/18

From Lakeside Hammers twitter "Sending our very best wishes to our former Hammer Paul Hurry suffered a dislocated kneecap, 2 broken bones in his wrist, rib and back injuries riding for Kent Kings last night. Get well soon Paul"
  11. Think he just had a slight blip, or something was wrong with the bike. It was his 8th ride by that time so very easy for something to go on the bike because they don't tend to be used as often as that per meeting but we'll never know. The main thing is the comets grab all 6 points and now sit in 2nd 2 points off Peterborough and 1 point ahead of Edinburgh (who have ridden 1 more match than us). If all goes well this could be the first time we see Workington finish top of the table! Not to mention we're on foot in for the CS Final, more or less in the KOC Semi-Final and the ball is in our court for a top 4 finish too. We don't do too bad for a team predicted for the bottom 3
  12. I fancy a 46-44 win to the Bandits here. Should be a cracking meeting
  13. Completely scuffed the Diamonds riding order. My apologies. Corrected now
  14. I mean it's also no guarantee a rider will get injured either so I assume thats what both would be expecting

  18. Similar to what happened with Shuttleworth last year for Workington - Have to use r/r or a NL guest if they're a reserve
  19. Also riders like Ben Wilson, Danny Ayres and Tom Perry and maybe even that blue man in my pic Rob Shuttlewor- Oh wait he's "banned"
