The reason she declined was that she was told it was a sell out way back last November and she wasn't prepared to stand in a car park for 5 hours on the off chance she might get in at the last minute. She saved her money and had a bet on the Gold Cup where she won a few thousand which she immediatley shared with the jockeys of the 1st 3 horses

And Matej Zager has had to count himself out as he has not been giving enough time to prepare himself and he will have a bit of a cold on that day

Totaly agree with you and from what I have been told this person was indeed trying to show the sport in a negative light

Not sure what they have made of the story(if any) but I know of at least one person who has e-mailed all the tabloids with the story but as of yet has never had anything back

I haven't got the money yet but I have already made a deal if I win the lottery I am going to share some of my winnings with family and friends and as they are in the same lottery draw they have also made the same deal with me

So if you have a ticket in advance, there is a chance you could be standing in a queue of 5,000 and if you don't you could be in a queue of only 500. I bet it will take more than 20 minutes to check everyone's advance tickets

Agree with you Steve as also with it being early March the colder weather could put people off. Also no matter which way you look at it (and it's not Poole's fault as they have promoted it well) speedway is not a priority sport for t.v. And also to put this meeting into perspective Poole have taken nearly 4 months to sell 5,500 tickets and Barnsley sold 6,000 tickets for an away football match at Liverpool in less than a day

I would just like to say that I applaud the Poole management for what they are doing and I honestly hope the meeting is a success and I for one would love to see Bjarne Pedersen walk away with the winners prize. The thing that gets to me though is this meeting was announced November 22nd and certain people are going on about how there is going to be a mad scramble for tickets yet it has taking nearly 4 months to sell just 5,500 tickets and it still isn't a complete sell out.
