If any one knows different, feel free to say I am in the wrong. In the year and a half he had fixtures at Brough I only ever heard him speak to the fans twice.. Once to thank the fans for giving him thousands of pounds at the last meeting of last season( or words to that effect) and again this season to promise the fans 100% a new rider.. Which to be fair he did. A rider who openly hated the track and had 1 meeting ( not including abandonments)

Newcastle Diamonds Ltd Annulled by SCBNewcastle Diamonds Limited has been officially annulled by the Speedway Control Bureau after the non completion of the fixtures of the 2022 season and failure of the regulations relating to this matter, meaning that speedway racing on Tyneside has come to an unfortunate conclusion.
This means that British Speedway Promoters Ltd are now officially allowed to take control of all in house speedway affairs involving Newcastle Speedway.
Newcastle Diamonds Limited have sought professional help to help bring the company to a conclusion. All companies or personnel that had a vested interest in the company will be contacted in due course.
Newcastle Stadium has now had the majority of speedway assets moved from the site at the request of the landlords and the landlords have dismantled the safety fence.
With Speedway racing unlikely to take place at Newcastle in the near future it is with deep regret that this statement is almost certain to be our final.
Everyone involved at Newcastle Speedway would like to wish everyone all the very best and pray with everyone that Newcastle Speedway come back to the tapes either at Newcastle Stadium or a new venue.

Genuine question.. What is the Poole obsession with crowd figures ( Home and away clubs) ?

Now we're in a right pickle.
No they shouldn’t… The advertised start time was 7:30… What about the fans who turn up IN TIME for the advertised start time and find out they have missed 30 minutes racing ?

Yes I am not that stupid but I was just wondering why Poole fans would be at another teams track on the same night and time their own team were riding at home !!

UPDATE
After last nights horrific looking crash in heat 1 of the NJL meeting it’s been confirmed in the last hour or so that Luke Killeen has unfortunately suffered a broken leg above the ankle Kyran Lyden went to A&E also last night and after a CT scan and X-rays on a sore arm has been very lucky to escape with just bumps and bruises.
Get well soon lads from all at Redcar Speedway. -
Just been reading Luke Killeen broke his leg in a very nasty crash at Redcar last night

Tom Brennan withdrew from Newcastle v Glasgow then rode for Belle Vue the next evening and now Sam Masters has done the same after pulling out of the Scunthorpe v Edinburgh fixture yesterday. Surely if a rider withdraws injured he must "rest" for so many matches. Yes I know its their income but (Championship) fans are being short changed here.
Happens in every job .. What about the person who goes home ill or rings in sick saying they don’t feel well and returns the next day .. Speedway riders are no different .. I was there for Tom Brennans crash and he genuinely took a “bad one” …If he feels ok the next day what is there to stop him returning to work like any other employee?

Newcastle Speedway update
As of today Newcastle Speedway has had two parties come to show a bit of interest in taking the club over.
However both parties have since pulled away once they realised the shear costs of operating speedway at Newcastle.
We have been asked to start a clean up process at the stadium and the existing assets of Newcastle Diamonds Ltd. are being sold as we speak in order to help the promoting company, Newcastle Diamonds Ltd pay off outstanding debts and of course to start paying off all the season ticket refunds.
If someone genuinely feels they can take Newcastle Speedway forward then it’s essential they make a move NOW and begin talks with the stadium and the BSPL to see if there is any hope of Newcastle Speedway continuing.

You have been very quiet since the news broke! Then post simultaneously on both threads ?
That contradicts your statement of not being in the know .!
I will leave it there.
.
Also correct me if I am wrong the only person to post the team v Poole before the closure

He has only had 18 home meetings in them near couple of years( including a double header), 2 of them were opening meetings of a season so the crowd was “ healthy”, 4 of them were against local rivals Redcar, so the crowd was “healthy “ , 3 or 4 of them meetings he had the begging bowl out, so fans helped him out He allegedly had major sponsors this season and he has hardly had to pay out any points money over the last season and a half and his burger vans have been taking money aswell

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned or even exists anymore but don’t clubs have to pay a massive fine if they withdraw in the middle of a season?
