Well they shouldn’t be as it wasn’t difficult to work it out at the time, as long as you understood the rule. Shouldn’t be an issue this year with the change in eligibility. The MDL isn’t running so the SS may have space for NJL news for a change.

Correct me if I am wrong when Jamie Swales run NJL there was always something in the SS

    That is just completely untrue.

If you think it's true, I repeat my challenge for you to name all these riders aged 15+ who could ride in an MDL league aiming to put themselves in the shop window for an NDL place.

It's not the case that the rider pool has dried up because there are no MDL teams.   The reality is that there are no MDL teams because the rider pool dried up and the people running them couldn't get enough riders to staff them.

The British Youth System does a good job with what it has, but there are very few riders even in the youth system, and many of them are several years away from turning 15.

Everyone must understand that a lot of old timers, like my Dad supported teams now long gone.

But they still have an affinity to them and although never happening these teams will not return.

So any of the so called Ghost teams who they loved, were appearing in these leagues they would sponsor them and support them financially.

Is a trick being missed here?

No that trick was taken away by the authorities

The points limit isn't "so high" it's just what the average team should have ended on, do keeps at last year's standards.

Lowering the points limit has led to NL heat leaders stepping up & struggling in the Champ Ablitt & McGurk for example.

Totally agree but it has moved the problem to bottom of NDL not many new starters

Only one club in the MDL wanted to continue with interest from a current NJL club but that wasn’t enough to continue a league. The Premiership junior league was never taken seriously by any Premiership club.

Should have left Jason Pipe in charge

Jenkins, Bailey, Dan & Joe Thompson are all clearly still developing, so why shouldn't they be in a "development" league. Not sure why a "development" league has to mean a weak league?

Personally I have no issue with the likes of Morley racing in the NDL as he can assist teammates on & off track as well as be a target for young opposition superstars (Harrison, Killeen, Perry) to find out how close they are to Champ level.

Interestingly you never hear people complaining about Lewis Miller or Kieran Douglas being in a development league, despite the fact that neither of them can be considered a developing rider! No offence to those two, not everyone can become stars!

Interesting view, you look to be living local to Kiran next time you're at a speedway  meeting introduce yourself to Kiran and have a chat it may change your opinion

In all fairness I'm not opposed either but the line of no riders of sufficient abilities is wrong especially with a higher points limit.

Unfortunately you are correct the league is now stronger so how does the young British lad get a team place if club's are not going to run or topped up with international riders this is not development

Good to see you don’t find it concerning that’s there’s not enough Capable riders to fill 7 teams in the lowest league.

Mr B far from it if you read my first post you commented on when need more clubs yes quality may drop but more rider's would get a chance .
