  1. I know this is early even before the Ipswich meeting, but that one is dead and gone before it even starts. So focus shifts to Thursday already. Poland have added a Polish Championship fixture to the calendar without notifying anyone therefore, we would have been without Tobi (obviously already absent) and Patryk. 3 teams are not in action on Thursday: Oxford, Birmingham and Ipswich, so 1 (potentially 2 guests) may need to be found. 1. Guest for Tobi (Tungate, Brennan, Harris) unless a suitable 28-day replacement is found 2. NKI 3. MPT 4. BB 5. NKI 6 PW? If not available we have to try and get Scott in 7. AR Looks like it’s going to be a tough one again unless we manage to make some team changes who hit the ground running.
  2. That’s why I said hosting and not running, as in using the venue to host the meeting. They may hire the stadium, but I’m sure he must receive a percentage of all gate revenue…
  3. Don’t know if is son is still involved, but a variety of different income streams: 1. Owning the stadium and hosting stock cars/bangers which bring in significantly more money than speedway 2. owning the stadium and renting it out for track days 3. Construction / groundworks company There might be others, but they are the main 3 I know of the top of my head
  4. I heard that he already had the collarbone in question plated and as part of the crash dislodged it. Don’t know if that complicates the surgery/recovery time…
  5. Tobi has been confirmed to have suffered a broken collarbone with surgery due on Monday. Following the operation his timescale of absence should become clearer, however, can assume at least 4-6 weeks. But who knows if his Polish club will allow him to come back given he crashed in the UK. Desperately need 2 replacements in place for the meeting against Leicester on Thursday, or else the season is over by the 9th May. Cannot run like this for the rest of the season or the result against Birmingham will be the first and only win of the season. 1. R/R or lacklustre guests 2. NKI 3. MPT 4. BB 5. NK 6. PW 7. AR The crowd again on Thursday was good (compared to last season), but the fans shouldn’t and won’t put up with seeing below par teams cobbled together week in week out. this is how I see us fairing against Leicester with no replacements best case scenario: 44:46 1. R/R - 2. NKI - 8 (5) 3. MPT - 3 (4) 4. BB - 12 (6) 5. NK - 9 (6) 6. PW - 8 (5) 7. AR - 4 (4) Total - 44

    Witches v Lynn May 6th 2.15pm

As per KL website R/R will be used with no suitable guests available, and therefore the remaining 6 can take a ride. Heat 1 - NK Heat 6 - BB Heat 10 - PW Heat 13 - NKI would be my guess

If money was no object, but keeping it somewhat realistic, what would your team be to fit in a 40 point limit? mine as follows (based on current averages): 1. Tobiasz Musielak - 8.33 2. Ben Basso - 6.68 3. Kai Huckenbeck - 6.0(ass) 4. Nicolai Klindt - 6.48 5. Robert Lambert - 7.81 6. Patryk Wojdylo - 4.63 7. Anders Rowe - RS Total - 39.93 Tell me that team doesn’t win the league…

Not proud to say I have too much free time on my hands! I wish I did, then KL would have a superstar lineup!

    I’m going 50-40 Heat Results: Heat 1: 4-2 (4-2) TM, SW, NKI, PP Heat 2: 4-2 (8-4) AR, VM, PW, LF Heat 3: 3:3 (11-7) BB, ZC, WL, MPT Heat 4: 5-1 (16-8) NK, AR, TB, LF Heat 5: 2-4 (18-12) PP, BB, SW, MPT Heat 6: 5-1 (23-13) TM, NKI, VM, TB Heat 7: 4-2 (27-15) NK, ZC, PW, WL Heat 8: 3-3 (30-18) SW, NKI, AR, LF Heat 9: 2-4 (32-22) TB, BB, VM, MPT Heat 10: 4-2 (36-24) TM, WL, NKI, ZC Heat 11: 1-5 (37-29) PP, SW, NK, PW Heat 12: 2-4 (39-33) VM, MPT, ZC, AR Heat 13: 4-2 (43-35) TM, PP, NK, TB Heat 14: 3-3 (46-38) BB, WL, VM, PW Heat 15: 4-2 (50-40) BB, PP, TM, SW Riders Individuals: KL TM - 13 (5) NKI - 6 (4) MPT - 2 (4) BB - 13 (5) NK - 8 (4) PW - 2 (4) AR - 6 (4) 50 BB PP - 10 (5) SW - 8 (5) ZC - 5 (4) WL - 5 (4) TB - 4 (4) VM - 8 (5) LF - 0 (3) 40 Don’t think I’ll be too far away. Lynn having better top order strength than BB should just push us over the line and secure a much needed first win.
  12. Any of the new GP boys (Lebdevs, Huckenbeck, Kubera, Kvech and Wozniak) fit I would imagine. However, Lebdevs and Huckenbeck are probably the most realistic. other potential options could be Anders Thomsen, Oliver Berntzon, Rasmus Jensen, Jacob Thorssell…
  13. Lebedevs stated that he wanted to do UK this year, and was surprised he didn’t get a call…. Can’t see him coming in on 8.0 average as he hasn’t been a GP regular for the last 2 years. A 7.0 average would fit lovely (this also applies to Huckenbeck, Wozniak, Kubera, Kvech). Whether any of these want to, or could be persuaded to do UK for the season is another question however.
  14. All depends if Basso is back. Lawson is a superb guest for NKI as he’ll probably score more than Puk would have. If basso is fit I think we could just it, but the bonus point is long gone. 47-43
  15. Might be too early for this given not everyone has released their lineups, but from the confirmed/rumoured lineups these are my predictions: 1. Sheffield Tigers 2. Ipswich Witches 3. Belle Vue Aces 4. King's Lynn Stars 5. Oxford Spires 6. Leicester Lions 7. Birmingham Brummies

    Brummies 2024...

£5k - £10k a meeting Multiplied by 24 meetings Total £120k - £240k Plus, don't forget the club will have to pay for travel, accommodation etc etc For one season you could be easily be looking at an investment of £150k - £250k

    2024 Premiership Predictions

Still think BV will reach the playoffs. Their top 3 can go toe-to-toe with anyone in the league and should be enough to sneak a place. Although on paper Sheffield probably look the strongest 1-7 I'm starting to think they might be the ones that miss out. My revised predictions: 1. Ipswich 2. Oxford 3. Belle Vue 4. King's Lynn 5. Sheffield 6. Leicester 7. Birmingham

    Oxford Spires 2024

But surely it must be linked to the spire of the cathedral? If that's the case then fair play to them for paying homage to the culture of the city

    Belle Vue 2024

I don't think you can expect a lot more from Dan. I can see him increasing his average slightly to 8.5, but personally I don't see him on the same level as someone like Emil, J Holder or Magic. He is potentially the most exciting rider in the league, but his inconsistent gating is certainly what needs to improve, as this will always be his downfall. And in a stronger top end league this year it will be even tougher

    Leicester Lions 2024

Wouldn't Kemp be classed as a weak link at 6 opposed to RS? Will be a tough heat 7 and 11 at home and tough heat 6, 9 and 12 away. We all know meetings can be won or lost at reserve and I would say Leicester have the weakest duo here along with Sheffield.

    Leicester Lions 2024

It would, still baffles me how Glasgow got Tarasenko on a 5

    Leicester Lions 2024

That's for the club to say if they so wish too.

    Leicester Lions 2024

We would have made full use of the points limit if 2 riders who had agreed to sign didn't make u-turns at the last minute.... Also I see this as a positive as it leaves a lot of scope to bring in another rider on a higher average if someone is struggling. Furthermore, it was anticipated that Wojdylo would come back in on an assessed average of 6 opposed to 5 as that is what the new ruling suggested, however, this was not the case...

    Brummies 2024...

Hence my prediction for 7th place on the other thread
