Damnit. Me and my crowd were saying on Saturday we were going to do a Polish GP next year, and he reckoned Bydgoszcz was a cert - it was the one we'd decided on. Probably be Gorzow instead. No point doing Torun, Bartosz will have it wrapped up long before then -

The "dance cam" was cringey as anything I've ever seen. Agree with the comments about the MC from others too, loves the sound of his own voice, but at least wasn't in his Brexit Union Jack outfit like last year! Was at the Q&A in the fanpark and the guy doing the presenting there was a twit. Completely patronised one of the female riders - asking her about what set up she uses (asked none of the blokes this), said she looks about 13, and if her "Daddy" helps with her racing! Absolute helmet of a bloke. Not a fan of all the razmatazz, but it is what it is - you expect it at a big event. All I care about is the best was cold, bars were stocked, and the racing was very, very good. -

Had an absolute blinding time last night, as I always do in Cardiff. Never get the bitching and whining about it. Racing was absolutely superb, very few dull heats. Crowd looked at least 5k up on last year, brilliant atmosphere, gorgeous weather. Gutted for Tai, who was absolutely on it. Think Lambo dropped a bollock by choosing gate 2, leaving the fast gate 1 on the inside and Bartosz on the other side. Cracking weekend in an absolutely brilliant city. Cant wait for Bydgoszcz and Cardiff again next year -

Blimey, that's interesting. I was a regular at Lakeside from 2001 until the team closed, and didn't realise how badly the club were treated. Talking to the owner of AF Stocktaking, who sponsored Arena-Essex around 2001-5, the impression I got was it was entirely the council who forced them out, rather than BSPA having a huge part to play. Bastards. -

As someone who grew up in the era of Bomber, Scotty and Rico, having Tai as our number 3 rider is one hell of a statement! -

I really don't get the Woffy hate on here. Granted he's not the top dog he's used to be, but he's still getting to semis/finals, still has moments of pure magic, and if he can stay injury free (big if I know) is one of the few who can get close to Bartosz. Yet some on here go on like he's Scott Nicholls with the ego of Nikki -
I was a regular at Lakeside from 2001 (aged 7) to 2018, but with my nearest team now being 50+ miles away, the only meetings I see live are Grand Prix. Would absolutely love a local track to pop up again, I'd be down there every race night, but sadly I think that's fanciful. A real shame, I'm sure thousands of Londoners are in the same boat.

Got a sneaky feeling Lambo might do well... -
Exactly the same for me. I've been to 7 or 8 Grand Prix, but hadnt attended a meeting since Lakeside closed in 2018. Had an absolutely brilliant time, including taking two novices who bought tickets as soon as they went on sale Monday. Going forward it's going to be our annual weekend. Completely rekindled my love for the sport and reminded me why I grew up watching it so passionately. Went into work on the Monday like a kid going into school, telling everyone who'd listen - and even those who weren't - how great speedway is and what a weekend it was. As I say, got tickets for next year and hoping to do Poland next year ,too. Wouldn't be the same at Belle Vue.
