    The Bsf Massif !

I don't post on here often but just wanted to say thanks to the Massif. Earlier in the season I was on the verge of stopping going to Foxhall but the combination of the team changes & the noise coming from the back straight stand has made a difference. The atmosphere has certainly improved at Foxhall & with Kevin Long getting involved & recognition from riders & management, I think all those hi-viz wearing, balloon launching musical maestros should take a bow! Shame the season is nearly over, but hope there are play-offs to make some noise at & it continues next season.
  2. Too easy for the Witches, pretty poor meeting to watch. Wait & see what Plymouth can do now. Have to mention that Tom Brennan looked very impressive in the junior races, looks like a good one for the future.
  3. No hope for the sport when the management committee includes promoters who encourage & participate in unprofessional & childish behaviour. Amateur antics for an amateur sport. I'll look forward to seeing Jose Mourinho staging a sit-in in the centre circle next time he disagrees with a ref's decision & inviting the fans onto the pitch with him.

Amazing after just one interview Hawkins is a villain & Hilton a saint! I didn't hear it so I can't comment but I have always thought Hawkins was a good team guy & a trier on the track unlike some others. He hasn't done it this season so not a major surprise I guess but I was hoping he'd turn things around. Good luck to him for the future & good luck to Ashley Morris who could be a good signing.
  5. Sad to see a once great speedway team going downhill like this. Hope it can be turned around but from the crowd tonight it looks like most have given up on it already. I know I will be thinking twice about parting with my £16 from now on.

Totally agree with this. For effort & decent racing, Gino, Cam & Ritchie were the 3 I enjoyed watching & am happy to see them back. Unfortunately the trouble with speedway is that loyalty & commitment count for nothing. I thought Ritchie Hawkins was a good captain & rarely let us down last season but because he had a good season & his average is a bit high, the fans want to see him discarded. I would like to see the Witches win something next year but I also want to see a team of racers, not riders whose race is over if they don't gate. I wish the departing teams members well but can't get worked up about them not being part of the plans for next season.
  7. Don't want to appear negative but personally I don't think this win was any indication of how good the Witches were, it was down to the fact that the Panthers were practically a one man team. On the plus side it was great to see Cam getting somewhere near back to his best & Gino continues to impress.
  8. Very good on occasion & terrible on others. Nothing against him but personally I would prefer a rider who scores 7 or 8 consistently than 14 in one meeting & 3 in the next.
  9. Terrible meeting, Witches were awful & racing was rubbish. Shame such a good crowd & nothing to entice them back on a Thursday night. Congratulations to Peterborough who fully deserved all the points.
  10. Well done to Workington on a deserved win. The Witches couldn't gate (& got excluded when they did!). If a racer like BB can't pass then something is up with the track. Heeps & Hawkins were the only 2 Witches who really performed. Its a massive uphill battle from here if the season's good work is not going to go to waste.

    Ipswich V Edinburgh 12/09

Love how a rider can get a faultless 18 point maximum & still get slagged off! Theres not many riders who are comfortable team riding these days & maybe he felt that if he slowed down too much he would jeopardise the lead? Anyway, I don't see the point criticising Cook when the blame lies with most of his team mates. Cook scored more than 5 of them put together. If they had managed an extra point between them...
  12. Totally agree. Ipswich couldn't fail to win in the circumstances but made hard work of it for half the meeting. Definitely missed Barker & Hawkins despite the scoreline! Sheffield unlucky & hope Allen & Lambert are ok. Boring meeting with hardly any passing & several heats with only 3 riders.
  13. Great win for the Witches although Glasgow didn't put up much opposition. Good all round team performance but have to agree Morten at 5 doesn't seem the best option. Very impressed by Cam. Grieves was good for the Tigers & I thought North deserved more for his efforts. Glasgow fans were very welcoming to us few Witches fans despite their obvious frustration with their own team. They deserve better & hope they can turn things round.

Well there has clearly been something going on between them but nothing happened on track in Heat 1 to set this off. Will wait & see what the official statement has to say!

Ok I only saw it after things had already kicked off but from what I've heard from others with a closer view it was an unprovoked attack. I was very surprised at the outcome, not because I thought the ref was wrong but its the first time I can recall having seen a rider kicked out of a meeting in many years of watching speedway. It did not follow on from a racing incident, which would have been a bit more understandable & unfortunately it did spoil the meeting.
