    Brummies 2024...

My season ticket arrived this morning. Due to working away a lot, I'll be lucky if I get to 3 or 4 meetings. However that has been the case for many seasons and that hasn't stopped me in the past buying tickets via trybooking for speedway meetings even though I knew I won't be attending. Some may think that is mad, but it's just my way of giving back to a sport that gave me so much joy during my childhood and teenage years. And I'm happy to be called mad, rather than some sad poster who has little to nothing good to say. Chill out people enjoy your favorite rider, enjoy your favorite team or just enjoy the speedway. Bring on season 2024 Karma. "Go Hawks"

Was a Villa Park on Friday evening, Hospital package (it's Christmas) so got to the ground at 6pm via a taxi and needed to pick someone up at Perry Barr Station, NO TRAFFIC problems at all. I don't get how people think Perry Barr is a nightmare to travel to. The are about a dozen bus lines and a Railway station all near by. Payed on site parking if early enough or with a little bit of common sense free parking or simply get a taxi from the city centre , also the is a travel lodge at about £55 a night just a few minutes walk from the stadium. I'm off to Glendale Arizona soon to see the Cards play the Hawks now that is a stadium that is close to 20 miles from downtown Phoenix with pretty much no public transport links at all but 65,000 will manage to find a way there.

Just looking at the fixtures, its a shame that the meeting on May bank holiday Monday against the Manchester Super-casinos was not scheduled for a home and away on the same day. Proper speedway that.

A name to front up the management. However you can't rule out that the true manager will be in a secret lair deep beneath the Clent Hills, controlling everything remotely.

Yeah and when did football become a game of 2 hours, I look forward to heat 16, 17 and 18 being regularly added during next season speedway meetings

True, had Brentford V Luton from the weekend on my mind and Brentford's first goal score was a Neal not a Neil

TM, Said it before it's going to be Neal Middleditch via zoom calls and Mark Loram will be his spokesperson at the track.

Get the best, Neil Middleditch, even if it's only via zoom or such like. He's a Blue and White manager, but it's got to be worth trying to tempted him to have a go elsewhere. As a side using remote translate technology a long side zoom you could speak to riders in there only language almost instantly, not just in pigeon brummie.

The stadium has a certain amount of parking, along with a near by railway station, and several bus routes stopping right out side stadium or a few minutes walk away. Aston Villa get over 40,000 on a Thursday for a Euro game with pretty much the same available parking and they all manage to find parking in the local area. As for parking and seeing the track i have watched the last heat at the Isle of Wright from the top deck of the bus before it headed off to the ferry, I'm sure you could get a view over Perry Barr from a number 33 bus

For me yes, already waiting to get a season ticket. After many years of only one or two meetings a season
