Oh, I need to change my signature? Actually, I won't bother, as soon as I start pointing out your regular lies disguised as facts I guess the ignore function will be in use again! Oh, apology excepted. Don't do it again though, there's a good boy.

Oh dear, Aljack's still having problems with his punctuation I see....oh, and he's missed an 'e' and an 'r' from the first part of that sentence. As for 'so called fans' - better that than a fake fan with an agenda!

    Ipswich 2012

Liking the revision! (It's alright, he'll still have me on ignore as I correct his blatant lies too often for his taste! ) As for next year, I think we can take it that staying PL is a given Mick - at the moment any team deciding to venture into the EL would be mad to even consider it - it needs to get itself onto some sort of even keel and get rid of the infighting before it is even worth considering. In any event, for us? I think PL is the right place to be.

    Kennett Suspended!

Whilst the matter itself is not relevant to this, certain people's reactions to that ARE relevant, not least because they completely contradict the same people's opinions of the current situation!

    Kennett Suspended!

I have precisely the same amount of evidence to the contrary as you do - absolutely NONE. Of course we all want to see fair play - but "fair play" does not include removing a riders points from the record when there is no evidence of any wrongdoing, in my book?!

    Kennett Suspended!

On what basis? Presumably you think that if someone is found guilty of nicking a tin of beans from Tesco, the rest of their foodcupboards, fridge and freezer should be stripped bare in case that was how they got all their food? Thankfully in this country you do actually have to be found guilty of something before being punished for it - the situation is that Ed is guilty of using the illegal silencer at ONE meeting - so the result of that should be amended, and indeed has been. There are no reasonable grounds for altering any other results though.

    Kennett Suspended!

I may be wrong but I believe you are missing the point a little. I think Hatcham's point is that Holder "tells us" he is injured, and Kennett "tells us" he knew nothing - none of us have any evidence to dispute either case.

    Kennett Suspended!

I take it you feel the same about KK then, and will imminently be addressing a letter to the Brummies Promotion asking for him to be sacked? You might, but then again, you might simply be "bigging yourself up" as many, many others have here in the past. Judging by your next, slightly panicky response on this subject, I'd say that you have let your mouth get active before your brain caught up, and that in fact you know nothing more than any of us think you do. If you have something to say, please share with the rest of the class - if as is more likely though, you don't, please stop using the "I know more than you know, so there!" line - we've seen it all before! From what I can see the situation at the current time is that Ed was caught using an illegal silencer. He claims to have no knowledge of the silencer being tampered with. A protest was made part-way through the meeting alleging tampering, and Ed continued through the meeting and scored a max. It seems to me that the following is likely: 1) after the protest was made, surely had Ed known about the silencer common sense would have said that he would have backed off a bit, tried to avoid ending up as a top scorer? 2) Considering he wasted no time once the situation was made public acknowledging that he agreed that the silencer removed from his bike HAD been tampered with, had he known about it he would have thrown his hands up as soon as it was taken for testing? Had he been aware of the tampering he would after all have known there was no way it was going to pass out as OK, and in fact he may have been treated more leniently if he's put his hands up? 3) If you know your bike is dodgy, I find it hard to believe you would then go ahead and lend that bike to a team-mate. Bearing the above in mind, it seems likely at this point, on the evidence we are aware of, that Ed genuinely didn't know this had been done to his machine. Presumably his second bike has also been checked and was OK? If this is the case then hopefully he will take forward that he has been naive in the extreme to trust those around him to the extent that he has, and that he needs to brush up substantially on his mechanical knowledge also. One interesting thing that has come out of this is the sheer number of Bees fans who, before ANY of the facts were known, have happily had Kennett hung, drawn and quartered. With a few notable exceptions, you don't go much on waiting to hear the background before demonstrating your lack of loyalty to your riders up there, do you!

    Race-off Lineups

Why the blank in Team GB's lineup?
  10. Don't think there was anything approaching 45k fans there yesterday TBH - looked way down on attendance to us. That notwithstanding it was enjoyable - although nothing like as good as last year. From a social perspective though - brilliant, can't be beaten. Sensational, even.

    Witches

Don't know who jbn is, but I reckon there's a good chance that is close to the mark. Wouldn't bet against PL if it looks like a more viable option though! Prawn, I'd hazard a guess that there will be an official announcement just as soon as there's something to say! ;-)
  12. Bad night was it azhdy? Hopefully in the light of day an apology will be forthcoming..... An excellent meeting - with a high percentage of the passing being provided by the Elite League lads, interestingly enough! Robbo was wearing the biggest smile all night and even a lot of riders who were out in the very early stages stayed on for the end which was nice. Had to giggle when Len was explaining to the riders before the start how everything was going to work - having explained the meeting he said that there would be no need to rush away once they'd finished as a buffet was being provided for all the riders after the meeting - Billy J piped up "Ah! Free Beer!" which made everyone laugh - Len's response...."no - I'm not that generous!" I'd not seen a meeting run with that format before but must admit it was enjoyable. I did feel for the riders who went out following engine failures which happened when they were in qualifying positions though - tough luck guys.
  13. Weather here (ten minutes from the track) is stunning - looks to be all set for a cracking meeting tonight!
  14. I'm loooking forward to this one. The metcheck weather report says no rain around here all day so that's a relief. Hope to see a few friends there - I aim to be there early so i can see people before I have to be in the pits.

    Grand Prix 2008

Anyone know if Prague is likely to be a venue again next year? Have finally persuaded the other half that a weekend in Prague would be a nice idea....!

    German Gp Wildcard

was speaking with Tobi on Thursday night about the GP and the possibility of the Wild Card. He's not heard anything yet but one thing he DID say was that he'd be delighted if either he or Martin got it as they are good friends and Martin getting it would be almost as good as getting it himself!

    Qualifier Top 3

You sure about that? Cheers Shawn!

    Qualifier Top 3

Why would it? Tomicek came fourth in the qualifier didn't he?

    Qualifier Top 3

Won't make any difference though, will it. if Adams DOES retire, it still won't change this year's qualifying positions. Anyhow, Scotty has to achieve 9th first! I believe I'm correct in saying that Scott has now been quoted several times over the past couple of seasons as claiming that his reason for not doing the qualifiers is that if he doesn't qualify in the top 8, then he doesn't deserve to be in the series at all. Now fair enough, last year he missed some rounds due to inury, and that was taken into consideration when he was handed the freebie. This year that doesn't apply, and so surely he will be man enough to stand by his own words and spend a year concentrating on upping his form sufficiently to get back in on a nomination the year after, whilst also doing the qualifiers to earn back his spot. Or will he?
  21. Pleased for Tai - although not really much of a surprise he was clearly delighted with the win. Absolutely over the moon for Robert though. A definate talent for the future in my view - and I also am of the opinion that he'll be in the PL next year - I would imagine one of the Rockets reserve berths already has his name on it!

    German Gp Wildcard

Tobi's done well beating riders of considerably more experience that him to fight his way to the Qualifier final - so what if this has been contributing factor if he's been chosen? Did the other two not enter, or have they been knocked out? My fingers are crossed!
  23. haven't a clue where we're going to be sat but anyone interested will be able to spot us nice and easily as we will have our huge "Witches on Tour" banner up again as at Cardiff!

    Scott Nicholls

We don't "go" anywhere. We do the decent thing and admit that we simply do not have a second British rider who is good enough as things stand at the moment, and we take a few years (maybe even just one year) out to work hard on a programme to bring the young hopefuls on a bit. In a few years time the future will be looking rosy assuming that Kennett, Bridger, Stead and others fulfill their potential. There are others coming through the ranks albeit currently slightly less high profile too - let's hope the powers that be give Tai Woffinden compelling reasons to choose Britain over Aussie when picking which country to commit to. Also Rye have some cracking lads coming through - Boxall is already showing why so may rate him so highly, and there are others too - Luke Bowen and Robert Mear are the two I would suggest have the greatest potential of Len's current batch - although in Bowen's case a lot depends on him staying injury free. It would be a tough decision for the British authorities to stand up and demand that only one Brit is selected for next year, but as things stand, would it perhaps be the right decision? Of course, Scott COULD still finish top 8, couldn't he.....
