  1. Hi waihekeaces........ I love the GPs for the last few years, purely down to TW........a chance of a British champion, makes every race interesting........but I think he looks poor this year........... struggling over what lie to go for in each race, overcooking it.......... could it be parenthood taking his mibd off thingw? Not a dig if it is......
  2. Hi all......sorry if I've missed it, how come people are saying it won't be Cameron Heeps?
  3. BSI spelt Chris Harris wrong.........

    Barry Hearn....

No disrespect to them, because I think they're highly skilled and probably deserve their money, but I think if we want to see value for money, and wages not spiraling out of control,we need to stop engine tuners being involved. That's where the big bucks go, and so the big riders demand more etc
  5. Apologies, I'm sure this has been done to death, but why can't Polish riders ride PL without any ramifications? Surely that's breaking EU law?......
  6. Excuse me...........? Edited due to incorrect quote And to add to that, I generally enjoy your posts HA, but please, you're a Brit living in QLD, please tell me your experiences of the 'poorest person'. For someone who is obviously educated, you are massively guilty of a Daily Mail / Daily Express generalisation there.....

    Darcy Ward

And take this on further, if Ward's team could prove there was a procedural error, could he then insist that the Latvian GP results be scrubbed? This is a genuine question

    Wild Cards 2014

Admittedly I have seen very little of him, mainly in the European Championship coverage on Eurosport, but Laguta scares me, he's wild!!

    Torun Gp 2013

Hello everyone, this is my first year following the Grand Prix live, am really enjoying it, having Tai at number 1 obviously helps. Does anyone think there could be any funny shenanigans going on? Does that happen? For instance, could Darcy and Troy gift Tai their points if he needs them? Would A Miedzinski or KK ride Tai hard in the hope they dent his confidence? Has Jarek been practising on the track all week? Or am I just being overly suspicious? Cheers Edited to add, am I being too disrespectful as well? I just don't know if there's any politics in the series

    Wild Cards 2014

I've really enjoyed watching the GPs this series, I don't have Sky so it's the first real series I've followed. Even when the racing hasn't been great, having Tai in there means most heats have something to be excited about, working out possible permutations etc. I think Vaculik has been better than his 56 points suggest, and wouldn't be upset if he was given a wildcard
  14. Cheers dude. So you really are pretty f#cked if one of your team has to withdraw
  15. Hi all, apologies for a potential silly question, but if a rider is forced out of the meeting, is there any provision for their team mates to fill in the rides Cheers James

    Silver Helmet Memories

Poor memory, long time ago, early 80s I think, Ashley Pullen won it at Peterborough. I was approx 11 years old, went to the pits afterwards to cheer him, and he came and chatted to me, and let me put it on. Was well made up. Pretty tight though, and I was only 11! Cheers all James
  17. Does anyone know if it is just Johnno doing a few laps, or is there a meeting as such? I'm working til 3:00, I'll pop along after if it's still going Cheers Jimi
  18. Hey Timbo, Yeah, it was in the community newspaper. It never actually mentioned the word speedway, it says motorsport, but I remeber from a couple of years ago when I lived in East Perth and John McNeil came door knocking, trying to gauge the local's reaction, and I have put 2 and 2 together, hopefully getting 4 (with John being an exrider (Leicester, I think)). Would make a good temporary track I reckon, and alot of people in Perth like bikes etc, hopefully it will all go ahead Cheers mate Jimi
  19. I saw in the local free rag today that John McNeil is trying to put on a speedway event at Gloucester Park on the 5th February. He's gained provisional acceptance, although no doubt the East Perth yuppies will still have something to say about it. A couple of years ago he tried, but I believe the application was considered to be in too late, and so it was denied. I actually spoke to him at the time, and he had some good names coming over, Leigh Adams, Ryan Sullivan etc, so maybe he'll have them next Feb if available. If anyone knows anymore about this, I'd be interested to know, and I'd be more than happy to help in some capacity (even walking the streets doing leaflet drops etc) Cheers Jimi
  20. cheers OzyAce, I would have missed it, I saw the first semi, the other day, but thought the second one wasn't one for a while. It was interesting to see that "Blue Line" on the Eastbourne track, after reading comments about it, I've never seen anything like it before (not a criticism). So, I fancy Denmark to win tonight! Cheers Jimi
  21. Well, as a Brit living in Perth, Australia, the locals are not usually so quiet when it comes to sporting success. However I am shocked that even though Aussies filled the top two rostrum places, I have seen absolutely no coverage in the national media. Shame really, as these days my speedway viewing is non-existant and any coverage on the TV would be good. Congrats Adams and Crump Cheers all Jimi
