Erm, I think Hans has won 4 Grand Prix in the past Czech Rep. GP: 2006 Danish GP: 2006 Italian GP: 2008 Scandinavian GP: 2004

Right decision in the end although I think Hans can think himself a little unlucky. It must have been a tough choice for the organisers as so many of the 'big' stars finished outside the top 8. I wonder if they ever considered doing away with the wildcard (for each round) and having that 16th spot as a permanent rider (so then Hans could have then been fitted in, as surely he was 5th choice)

Forget that, Each way is only top 2, not top 3 (as I thought). Can't see either Hampel or Andersen getting top 2 (at a push maybe top 3, but can't see top 2)
