    King's Lynn Stars 2013

I dont see it that way. Lambert, for the past year, has been gaining as much Speedway experience as he can. To do this he has been forced to ride abroad. Do you blame him, or the system that pushes a young talent away from his home country to gain that experience ? He is doing as many Young Stars meeting as he can, without going back on committments he made elsewhere prior to when he was 15 ( permitted to ride NL). or are you suggesting he should let other people down to ride for Lynn ? I think he is doing the honourable thing and sticking to what committments he has agreed to.

By Guns for Hire I mean flying in the UK from their home countryand back out the same night and on to the next gig. At least with the 3 lads mentioned they have some kind of 'roots in the County. Maybe Lambert will go to the highst bidder, then again would he not attract a lot of sponsorship from within the County, Young Local lad, rides for his Local Club and all that ? Haza You seem to be in the know that he wont be riding for Lynn next season, come what may. So I will take you at your word on that one, or are you just guessing ?

Like you say Em, team Norfolk, certainly has a ring to it. Young British lads on the up, all starting off on low averages, could bring in the fans to support it. I enjoy Elite League racing in the main, but these days riders at this level are just " Guns for hire". These 3 lads could really bring back a feel good factor. I would guess companies would be falling over themselves to sponsor local based riders.

As Much as I enjoy Elite League racing at Saddlebow. Half of me would like to see Premier League racing return to Lynn next season, the reason ? Having watched the Young Stars again last night, there were 3 riders (Rose, Kerr and Lambert) on view for Lynn who could become big names at Premier League level next season. How good would it be to see that development happen each week at Saddlebow ? Thoughts anyone...

Bernie, all anyone can say at this stage is, the makings of a good rider are there for all to see. For a lad of 15, he is a very special talent. They dont come along that often, but when they do I fnd it very enjoyable to see those formative years. Who knows who will get the pleasure of the lad next season. He is young, he is talented, and he is BRITISH. Surely that has got to mean something to any true British Speedway fan.

Vog I wasn't suggesting Lambert should go Elite next season. Just opening up a debate to see if people think is already good enough. As for Wuffy didnt he guest quite a bit in the Elite while at Rye? Also think Darcy Ward rode for Belle Vue a few times in his one season in the Premier League

Buster did a load of watering and track grading between heats 9 & 10. Look at the time for heat 9. As for Reade on T/R no Stoke rider was in the same postcode as Lambert after the 2nd bend. He really is a special talent. Someone is going to ask this sooner later but is Lambert that far of being Elite League standard now? Let alone in 12 months time. Be interesting to see what others think Buster did a load of watering and track grading between heats 9 & 10. Look at the time for heat 9. Can I respectfully suggest Mr Tatum challenge some his aggression toward the riders he has employed. Lucky that Mallet had an off night otherwise this really could been worse.

Looking forward to seeing Lambert around Saddlebow again. Where is Mimmo with his preview ?
  10. Reading Dale Allitts Column last night it appears The Kings Lynn Young Stars had all sorts to put up with at their recent trip to Stoke. Track in its worst ever state, and dangerous, riders not happy to race on it. No lighting in the changing rooms or toilets. The Stoke Promoter threatening to punch someone from the Kings Lynn team in the face. It appears Lynn are not prepared to ride in the 4's meeting at Stoke, and have applied to have it moved to another track. To think Stoke where once a respected Prmier League outfit. I am surprised a good old Norfolk boy like Malc Vasey wants to be involved with a club like that. Or is it all a storm in a teacup ?

Did hear/read somewhere that he was riding Sergey Darkin's old kit ?

So who can Hoglet get on the cheap to replace Knight ? Or is Compton nailed on ?
  13. According to Alllitt it was Nigel Crabtree who described the track as the worst its been. Allitt went on to describe the track as dangerous. Does anyone know who The Stoke promotor threatened ? What really surprises me is Malcolm Vasey has anything to do with it there. I always had a lot of respect for this particular gentleman. He also had a long association with Boston at Saddlebow road. Shame if he gets tared with the same brush.
  14. What an excellant nights speedway entertainment. All credit to Somerset adn Edinburgh. One thing I find amazing is. After a nights racing like we witnessed that people would want to come on here and talk about stuff like this rider rolling etc. What do some people want ? Call yourself speedway fans, seems like even after seeing a great meeting that had the lot, that a few would like to pick out any negatives they could find. Come on guys, get a grip.

Klindt is indeed a strange one. Cant seem to get it together in the UK but is would has done ok elsewhere. Was Jan just given a pot of gold by Frostie to spend at the start of the season ? Or did the owner and indeed Pat Wicks have an input as well ? At the end of the day Jan is not the one riding the bikes. For sure Frostie has to look at him, but he also has to look at one or two of the riders. The buck stops with him.

Well Lynn top 4 bring in 2, yes TWO new riders. P'Boro on the asses of their trousers at the bottom, bring a new rider ? Nope, they change the team manager.

No need to apologise. Honest. You were asking about winning over entertainment. If Buster sees fit to bring a rider in at Reserve with bags of potential, as a replacement, then with Buster being a wise old sage who am I to disagree.

I've also heard the rumour that the contract might be moving from Sky to Eurosport. In answer to your question about winning over entertainment. Lynn had a few seasons in the Premier League where they were taking sides to the cleaners 60 plus scores became the norm. So give me entertainment everytime or do you prefer your Speedway to be the trap to line variety ?

Who knows what next year will bring. will it one League, will it be 2 ? I dont understand where you have got the idea from that it is 'Likely' I am happy that Buster has now brought in 2 young untried overseas riders, and given a debut to a 15 year old english rider for the future. Should he not be applauded for that ? Much rather that than seeing the likes of Nermark coming back, or as has ahppened at Alwarton giving the managers job to Sullivan, as though thats gonna make a difference. maybe Lynn will make the play-offs, maybe they wont. For me it is more about what entertainment we get to witness at Saddlebow.
  21. No need for you to post rude, uncalled for comments like this.

All credit to Buster. Might be worth looking at the bigger picture here. Lambert having a run out with the Young Stars and looking PDQ. Now we have 2 new signings ( and assets) getting use to the UK tracks. Now it could be suggested that Buster is building something for next year.

What is the new riders background ? Good old Buster, Outbidding Matty. Showing him he cant get his own way everytime.
  24. Why will his stay be short Mimmo ? I thought he couldnt move up a level until at least next April. The boy is certainly a talent, but the expectation level seems to be massive. Lets just remember he is only a 15 year old learning his trade.
  25. He never made one gate all night. Got left badly at the gate in heat 15. Tried to hard to get back on terms and over cooked. Imagine what this young man is going to be like once he learns how to gate. Can't wait to see him perform on a grippy Saddlebow track. Just hope people don't get to carried away as he is far from the finished article.
