Buxton V Mildenhall Sunday July 18th

Would not prefer to devote the right amount of time to sinking pints ?

Simon, dont you fancy going back into it, and losing a bit more ?

Buxton V Mildenhall Sunday July 18th

Are Mildehall riders at liberty to find new clubs, even for the short term ?
  4. Maybe shes after your body, using a thinly disguised attempt at getting your attention. In fact you could be Elton John to her Kikki Dee
  5. Dont go breaking his heart, you couldnt if you tried.
  6. Are you asumming that there will be a space for Plymouth, if they decide to move up a League ? Leicester are going to be taking one place in the Premier League, and the way the Elite League is going with the have's and have not's, I wouldnt rule out a Club dropping out of that league and coming down. Plymouth might not be left with any choice come next season.
  7. Im sure if Scunny had been unhappy with Nelson riding, they would at the very least have ridden under protest. This guy Nelson, is certainly ONE to keep and EYE on.
  8. Rodge, i know very little about Plymouth, are the crowds good enough to support Speedway at Premier League level ?
  9. Good post Rodgy, keep it up. I notice you used the word "think"...Thats more like it, you are expressing an opinion.
  10. Maybe it was his favourite film ?..or....
  11. Neil, If the 2nd string Clubs pulled out because they couldnt compete both on and off the track with the stand alones. Would there be enough Clubs left to make it attractive for the fans, and worthwhile for the Promotions ? For me each Club should be allowed one "old hand" and the rest should be u and coming youngsters, if there is enough to go around. You look at the Plymouth side ( I am sure they do what is right for them) is that really what is best for the future of British Speedway ?
  12. \Nikko, I would sing from that hymm sheet. My post was not attack on the Fen tigers. More to do with the 2 seperate factions withn the one League. Stand alone Clubs have to make it pay from that one meeting a week, and we all know us fans are a fickle lot and like to see our teams winningn their home matches. The other teams, have other ways of supporting this level of Speedway at the track. We need more Clubs at this level, certainly not less. As Janye has said, if things carry on the way they are, then Clubs are going to fall by wayside. Thats the last thing we want. When Club omves the goalposts, are other clubs not forced to follow. Is this why costs in The NDL have risen so much over the past 18 months ?
  13. Then the League is even more unbalanced. I feel a clear and concise path should be selected for the 3rd tier of British Speedway. If its a case of "open house2 and win at all costs, then so be it. The future of British speedway riders is doomed. I am very surprised that Uncle Lennis has changed sides and gone over to join the likes of Bournmouth, Plymouth, Mildenhall. Jayne as you are on the inside of tent spitting out, so to speak. How do you see the future of the 3rd league of British Speedway ?
  14. Stand alone Clubs, i guess have a duty to their supporters to put together the best team they can to try and win things. The other clubs are their surely to try and develop young British ( hopefully) talent. If The likes of Rye, Scunny, KL, and Newport decide to "give in" and follow the likes of Bournmouth, Mildehall Plymouth etc, then surely the game is up.
  15. Short changed the public ? How do Scunny fans feel about having an over qualified rider take their young chargers to the cleaners ? How much damage does this kind thing do to a fellow Promotors business ? Even if the result is amended, the fans will have seen a massive away victory. Does anyone know if Uncle Lennie had clearance to use Nelson, or did he just fly a kite and hope ? If its the latter, then he should hang his head in shame. Maybe the Sport should introduce a points deduction, as in Football, for such actions. Plus slap a fine into the offending club.
  16. That would mean Uncle Lennie has given up on his principles of devoloping young Brtish talent for his Premier league side, just for a shot at top spot in the 3rd tier of British Speedway. I find that hard to believe. He is a well respected man who i am sure wouldnt lower himself to that level, would he ?
  17. Surely Uncle Lennie has first dibs on young Nelson, otherwise I am at a complete loss to understand why he would be included at Reserve for Rye. What on earth would they have to gain by including him, apart from gaining an away victory. I would find it hard to accept that Uncle Lennie would go down this route just to win a NL speedway meet.

    Bournemouth Buccs

Ben you are having a laugh, Brundle good enough to ride Elite League, tell me you are joking. Mills as far as I am aware is also a KL asset, so when taking him away from Bournmouth, they are just recalling an asset. Can you offer any other reason how Matty Ford could have enticed him to Dorset ?

    Bournemouth Buccs

Strange signing this. Brundle left the Kings Lynn National League side, because he wanted to gain a full time place in the Premier league or even the Elite League ( yeah right !) Why would a rider leave a Club that he lives within 10 miles of, to make a weekly journey to the South Coast,to join another Club operating in the same league ? I am sure there is a logical answer to the question.

    Weymouth Speedway

The Promotor at Weymouth ( Bartlett?) seems to get rather a lot of bad press. Is it justified ?
  22. Wuffy moaning about his lot. Just think if he did decide to ride for Oz instead of GB. 1. He would have no Grand Prix to worry about. 2. No British semi final to cause him any stress. 3. No World team cup so could also have a nice summer break. Or maybe he hadnt quite thought that one through.
  23. Great news for Poole that Bjarne is back to his best for 2010, after a disappointing 09

    Peterborough And The Hortons

"The Hortons" does this include David and/or Hugo Horton ?
