  1. I too enjoyed Simmo's forthright views, made a refreshing change. In particular his comment about Ronnie Russell and "Jobs for the boys". Also about the way tracks ae prepared these days. Buster Chapman came in for praise for the track he prepared at Peterborugh and WTC. Maybe goes to explain why a lot of riders cant compete with the Lynn riders at Saddlebow.

As for Bruce Penhall's article, poor read I thought. Shame they have offered him more.

  2. Well done to the Brummies on their Pairs win, they rode very well towards the end of the meeting.

What a great show the Somerset promotion put on everything was top notch from: Pit access before the meet, the club house, the drink, viewing for the racing and last but certainly not least the track at Somerset was perfectly prepared and the racing was brilliant. :approve:

The meeting was a credit to the sport im glad there was so many people there to see the top PL lads in action.Well done Somerset.

Only downsides to the meeting were: Why start at 7:30 if the meeting cant be completed due to the curfew, and why all the messing about between heats? Also i didnt understand the swapping about of heat re-runs in the semi seems to jump back a heat -confused? Allowing time for Johno perhaps?

All in all a great speedway meeting enjoyed it all, Workington were superb and again our lads done us proud and really went out to win it for us unfortunately it wasnt to be, But well done Adrian and Kev. :D

Hope Shane Parker is ok and is ready for his trip to Workington with Glasgow, Have to mention Tom Brown who really mixed it considering the company he was in.

I agree with most of your comments, but for those of us arriving late (****** M25 Car park), and having to walk through 3 fields of cow ****, to find they had sold out of programmes, and be given copied race card on a A4 piece of paper. ( the programme was of cos bigger than this). However after that poor start to the night, thought the track was excellant, that gave a decent nights racing. However im not sure that Somerset is geared up to entertain that many people with its very basic facilities, well not yet.

  3. With Makovsky already declared out for the season, will it be a Berwick rider to replace him ?...Also will Henry be fit to take his place...... I assume like the ELRC the home track will provide the meeting Reserves. Adams and Richardson ( transport permitting) could stand a good chance in this one if they get a late call up... :D
