I wasn't at Workington on Bank Holiday MondayNo, but Workington were at Hoddesdon, well I think it was them, difficult to tell through all that dust.
-
Why?How about Workington Bank Holiday Monday ? or prehaps you enjoyed that.
-
"Wash" implies that they'd emerge cleaner than they went in .. Have you seen the state of the water?Shame they dont use more of it on that Track at Hoddesdon
-
Cover it with clay and put up a concrete wall round the outside? You do have a good memory

I too enjoyed Simmo's forthright views, made a refreshing change. In particular his comment about Ronnie Russell and "Jobs for the boys". Also about the way tracks ae prepared these days. Buster Chapman came in for praise for the track he prepared at Peterborugh and WTC. Maybe goes to explain why a lot of riders cant compete with the Lynn riders at Saddlebow.
As for Bruce Penhall's article, poor read I thought. Shame they have offered him more.

Hopefully the chance to see Emil at Poole again before he becomes a full time Pirate in 2010.Thats a great new signing, I take it Matty has decided to stay on after al. l Or did you mean Kramer ?

I would like to see more stories on the top boys of the 2nd division...Im sure they would have some interesting tales to tell.

Well done to the Brummies on their Pairs win, they rode very well towards the end of the meeting. What a great show the Somerset promotion put on everything was top notch from: Pit access before the meet, the club house, the drink, viewing for the racing and last but certainly not least the track at Somerset was perfectly prepared and the racing was brilliant.
The meeting was a credit to the sport im glad there was so many people there to see the top PL lads in action.Well done Somerset.
Only downsides to the meeting were: Why start at 7:30 if the meeting cant be completed due to the curfew, and why all the messing about between heats? Also i didnt understand the swapping about of heat re-runs in the semi seems to jump back a heat -confused? Allowing time for Johno perhaps?
All in all a great speedway meeting enjoyed it all, Workington were superb and again our lads done us proud and really went out to win it for us unfortunately it wasnt to be, But well done Adrian and Kev.
Hope Shane Parker is ok and is ready for his trip to Workington with Glasgow, Have to mention Tom Brown who really mixed it considering the company he was in.
I agree with most of your comments, but for those of us arriving late (****** M25 Car park), and having to walk through 3 fields of cow ****, to find they had sold out of programmes, and be given copied race card on a A4 piece of paper. ( the programme was of cos bigger than this). However after that poor start to the night, thought the track was excellant, that gave a decent nights racing. However im not sure that Somerset is geared up to entertain that many people with its very basic facilities, well not yet.

All sorts of thunderstorms being predicted for the south west of England on Friday . Have the locals heard anything more positive ?I saw this report, makes me wonder if im leaving a day to soon.
-
Got to fancy Kings Lynn and Somerset from Group one, and Glasgow and Workington from group two.
-
It's been a long time since I've seen a "lets see if you can do better" post.Marvellous
Now if you did, i wonder what Nickname Craig Saul would have for you ? Answers on a postcard please.

Will be enjoyable watching King Jamie queue twice for this one
-
What are you saying Jaybea - is there something I should know??????Is Kevin Long doing the job ?
-
Now thats wot i call great marketing. Selling the Poole Public Premier League Riders at above Elite League prices.
-
£16 for that.....Matty Ford the modern day Dick Turpin.....least Turpin had the good grace to wear a mask !!
-
Darcy Ward seems to be much further developed. He'll do mighty fine for the Kings Lynn second team at West Row in the PL next year while you're watching your first team languish near the bottom of the Elite

Elite or Prem League, top bottom or middle, i'll be there....How about you Next Saturday ?
-
That's correct. Why not another foreign rider using the Conference League to leapfrog over more young British riders into the Premier league next season.
Marvellous
Even that fine defender of the faith Uncle Lennie has slipped one ino his Conference Team this year. What is the World coming to.
-
There's no home track advantage there either, now that Compton is on the slide.Being an expert on that subject, id have to agree with you.
-
Shame they didnt give the job to Rosco Then certain people on here would have a right field day.... Paul Daniels wouldnt have got us through from that group, with what we have to offer.
-
What was the time of The match race between Mainman and Micman ? or didnt anyone have a Calendar ??
As Honie got his leg over On Sunday, donating a tenner to the fund, ( will give to either SS or Honie on Wed night)
-
Interesting heat one to kick off with
Doolan
Bridger
Topinka
Nermark
Someones night could be over before it even starts.
-
So which of those 4 ride for Boston ? I know James Brundle rides the odd match for them.....In other words its another select side...
-
Maybe JC could sneak Chris Mills or Paul Lee in there ..
-
With Makovsky already declared out for the season, will it be a Berwick rider to replace him ?...Also will Henry be fit to take his place...... I assume like the ELRC the home track will provide the meeting Reserves. Adams and Richardson ( transport permitting) could stand a good chance in this one if they get a late call up...

Fair play to Uncle Lennie on the line-up he has produced.
