    Ftr Heat 9

It is more a problem with the new race card. In previous seasons we have only had one reserve race (heat 2). Now that there are 2, reserves being reserves more often than not you will find by heat 9 one or more has already been withdrawn from the meeting. It was better when we had the old heat 8, when 2 and 7 for each team raced. Have that one and throw in a heat for the 4 and 6's. That would help alleviate the problem.....
  2. Yes but Ward only got 2 in the same meeting .....You cannot say he would of ot this or that....You dont know. Who would of thought Holder would not of won all his rides in the home leg of the final last year ....

But I think that is where the problem lies...One maybe made to purchase where another isn't. Batchelor and Iversen...What is the difference ? Both said they didn't want to go to Peterborough and both went on loan last season yet Iversen can go on loan and Batch cannot. Before I say anymore let me just say I think both clubs should be made to purchase the riders. It is not fair to Peterborough to spend money on assets for other clubs to hold them to ransom forcing loan deals. For things like this to be resolved there needs to be consistency, some black and white rules not various different shades of grey. Not wanting to go into history but trying to be fair. It happened to Swindon last year regarding Miedzinski

This twit for tat does seem very childish...Maybe some promoters read this and think they should play along. Look the top and botom of it is pretty much any rider will go where he is ofered the best all round deal for them, it is not about who's asset they are or who they dont want to ride for , it is about money. Fair enough i say, if i was offered a better deal to do the same job down the road i would probably take it.

Swindon only wanted to use 2 doubling up riders. Had Doyle said he was going to concentrate on Elite league of course he would of been in the team. My guess is the Swindon promotion see Morris improving his average more than what Jason would...Hence he has been selected. Makes perfect sense to me. Couldn't go with 3 double uppers, should we be without Doyle you would struggle to get a rider in from the Prem league to cover Jason scores. Again if Kennett had been doubling up it would be the same problem and I am sure Swindon would not of gone with him....

I like Jason Doyle, but Swindon cannot afford to sign him if he is doubling up. It would be suicide to have 3 double uppers. Not just because of results but also the loss of revenue with supporters not turning up to watch a Swindon select side.

Taken from the Swindon Evening Adver ..... SWINDON Robins’ title-winning rider Jason Doyle could be on his way back to parent club Poole after the Pirates declared an interested in using their asset next season. The Robins are keen to retain the gritty Australian after he increased his average during a campaign where he became a major part of the Elite League winners’ side, despite missing both legs of the final against the Pirates through injury. Poole promoter Matt Ford has revealed his interest in bringing their asset back to Wimborne Road after a year away, but even if he doesn’t eventually take a team place, he insisted the Robins or any other side wishing to loan him will have to be patient. “Jason Doyle is very much an option. He had a great year and he did exactly what we always knew he could do,” he said. “I don’t care if I don’t disclose the final team member until March 1, I really am in no hurry this year. “It will have to be contracts that are beneficial to the club and if that means us taking our time on our assets, other clubs are just going to have to be understanding that our riders won’t be released until that point.” Swindon boss Alun Rossiter is not surprised the Pirates want to use the Australian once again, and is not overly concerned by the situation at this stage. “I am not surprised they want to use him because he had a superb season for us and did a brilliant job, so I can’t speak highly enough of him,” he said. “At the end of the day it is down to the riders what they want to do, and he isn’t our asset so obviously we will wait to see what happens. “We get first call on him if his parent club don’t want to use his services, but he enjoyed his move here and it was good for him and good for us. “I don’t know whether he would want to go back to Poole, but speedway is a difficult thing because we have a group of riders who have had good years, and now their own clubs are looking back at them. “That is only fair at the end of the day, and I am not surprised about it and we have to wait and see because at this time of year there are a lot of permutations. “He might be in their plans for one team, but not for another.” Another 2012 Swindon rider mentioned in connection with a team place on the south coast next season is teenager Nick Morris, but Rossiter is confident he will be at Blunsdon when the new campaign begins. “It think a lot of this link has come from people thinking about Nick’s friendship with Darcy Ward,” he said. “Nick has stated he wants to come to Swindon again next year, and I don’t envisage any problems with that because he seems happy with his progress with us.”

I think Hansi Boy will be back with Peterborough. That would be his first choice as it is close to his home. Obviously if they didnt want to use him again then that is good news for Swindon.

I cant get any video on any of the links ...Could someone post a link that works please.
  12. More annoyingly was the fact Swindon decided to ignore the normal GP format for the semi finals. Adams and Nicki P should have been in 1 semi, and Anton in the other. As it was Mr. Clean conveniantly got a nice easy semi final and and almost guarenteed first choice for the final Just a note, the choice of gates for the final were done by the toss of a coin. Made no difference what semi they were in, also add the fact Adams had beated everyone bar Lindback was there any doubt he would be in the final ???
  13. What reason did Nicholls give for pulling out then ?
  14. They are best friends, it was a bit of banter between them both. But yes i saw it.
  15. Hello, please could someone copy and paste the complete link as i cant get anything at the moment. Thank you very much in advance for you asistance........
