  1. Great to hear of a big crowd turning up to watch Nl racing, I'm sure in time the track will get sorted, and with a solid top 3 Kent will push most sides. Robert loves getting the call from Milldenhall and enjoyed the chance to ride the new track. Chopper
  2. Some good observations there Greyhoundp, he did say that he realised he had to get out into the dirt and out of points scoring mode and into winning races mode after being passed.Being from the old school im not sure about the final format either but I guess it can work for you sometimes if you have a fall or e/f, but knowing Jason and how well him and Robert get on im sure he was the first person over to congratulate him.I think most of the young guys have an enormous amount of respect for each other and what they do.Sad to have missed it but hopefully some video footage is available. Thanks for all your good wishes.Chopper
  3. Can't get the clip to work , any ideas. Chopper

  8. I can speak from Roberts experience how important the ben fund is.When a rider is hurt the engine tuner, spares van etc still need to be paid. With the insurance companies dragging there heels the Ben fund were the first to come forward with help which I can ensure you was very much needed and appreciated. So a big well done to all rides and supporters that attend and donate during the season. Who's Still Available?

You can add Robert Branford to the list ,after getting through his first meeting well he's trim and fitter than ever and keen to head back over if something comes up. Chopper
  10. The “old boy” showed the kids the fastest way around Gillman last night when Shane Parker was an easy winner in the CBS Bins Gillman Solo Championship ahead of Robert Branford, Max Fricke and Justin Sedgmen. But while Parker had an easy win in the final, and was only beaten once during the night, he didn’t have an easy time of it in his first few races. Parker and Sedgmen were the pre-meeting favourites, with newly-crowned Australian Under 21 Champion Max Fricke considered the best outside chance to cause an upset result, but the Championship started in surprise fashion when Robert Branford, having his first ride since injuring his leg at Berwick in August, led Parker all the way in heat one. Branford followed that up with a terrific win over Sedgmen in his next ride to be the only unbeaten rider after two rides each. In his race against Sedgmen, Sedgmen got under him with an aggressive inside pass in turn one on the last lap but Branford regained the lead with a good pass of his own on Sedgmen in turn three. However a last place in his next ride behind Parker, Sedgmen and Fricke, allowed Parker to take of the lead on the scorecard, and Parker kicked up a gear then, winning his final heat and the final quite easily. Branford wasn’t to be completely denied, however, and finished his heats with a narrow win over Fricke before winning a four lap wheel-to-wheel battle with Fricke and Sedgmen for second place in the final. Max Fricke, so good all season, finished third but found the going a bit hot this time around. He wasn’t able to win any of his heats and then had to withstand a whirl-wind finish by Arlo Bugeja to win the last chance semi-final but the narrowest of margins. Bugeja had also earlier given Parker a hard time in their second rides when they rode side-by-side for the first three laps before Parker edged ahead for a five metre win. Australian Results

Yes was good to see him riding I thought better than he ever has considering it was his first hit out. Looks like he will be sitting by the phone waiting for a phone call as the season progresses. Chopper

Perhaps he was just frustrated at not getting a team spot , hence him putting his gear up for sale. Chopper

    Glasgow 2013

Doubt that very much, i dont think anyone is on that sort of deal. More likely that the club gives them time to find there feet. Lets give the new guys a chance, i watched Ringwood friday night and he looked good to me a real battler. Hopefully Glasgow set up a grippy track for him and Screeny, not a gating tarts track like most over there. Chopper

    Aussie Champs January 2013

Had a look at the qualifier and my first look at young Fricke. I can see where the references to Leigh Adams lookalike comes in , looks very similar on the bike. Doesnt move around a lot but very effective, and looks like he can come from behind as well. On first view and i havent seen a lot of the other 16, 17 years olds he certainly has the potentual to be the next big aussie, pardon the pun as hes only a little tacker. Chopper

  23. I guess that shows how hard a call it would have been to make. What i look for is could Roynon have done anything to avoid the collision, i think no, he kept his line and didnt try to stop the outside rider. Nielsen could have kept the outside line but instead tried to cross to the inside to go between the two riders, so that means he was at fault. Thats my view anyway, and im unbiased either way. Cheers Chopper
  24. Roynon didnt change his line at all, he rode the same line from when he entered the corner until he was hit side on. Nielsen came from wider out and across his line, not to mention the fact that Roynon was the rider in front as well. So i would say the decision was incorrect. Either way well done to Milldenahall, bad luck to Dudley. Cheers Chopper ps, only seen one ref change his mind Lee , and we remember when that was
