I am not critcising Poland but i agree with Dexter that it is not right that riders like Lee Richardson should wait months and months before they get paid monies that are owed to them. That is not right - do you agree?
-
...surprised no-one has included Ben Barker!?
-
I know there has been more changes this winter than usual, and all the deals may not yet be disclosed - but can anyone post the squad lists for the teams for 2010.?
-
to be fair to the british riders: Tai did well last season in the top flight and is there on merit, not just because he's a junior. Not convinced the same can be said for Bridger, but we will wait and see. Also the 1st division is a tough division, and i think we will have 4 of the top 10 averaged riders in 2010 1st division. Richardson is good enough for top flight easily. Kennett and Harris both did well towards the end of the 2009 season, and surely Nicholls will be able to handle that level of racing fairly comfortably!

No place for Scott Nicholls in 2010 ?!?

Is there a rule in Poland about how many foreigners each team is allowed in one match, and if so how many?

I just found out today i work with a guy who's local team is ZKZ. He was amazed to find someone who goes to Speedway! He is going home for Christmas and he will bring me back some merchandise. -

British Final
scousedave replied to Sandie's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Well here's my opinion (for the very little that it is worth!) I went last night, really enjoyed it, thought the racing was good on a good track. Obviously towards the latter heats there was less overtaking but hey, it was still a good match on one of the best tracks in the country. I thought David would do well, and he did. He is having a great season. Cardiff next stop. Well done to Jonathan Chapman and the organisers for putting the wild card place up for grabs. Well done to Edward Kennett, he is really improving all the time, keep up the good work. Disappointed for the Belle Vue riders, hope Joe's arm is not too bad. Well done to Chris Harris, thoroughly deserved win, he is going from strength to strength. Finally well done David for coming onto the forum to give your point of view of the whole thing and its great to read your post, nice one. Thats it for now everyone coz its late and im off to bed! Nite! -
Elite League Riders Pairs

Even though we are not in it i do hope this meeting is a success, and i hope the rest of the Super7 series is as well, but its a shame that these meetings always seem to end up with loads and loads of changes to the program, i find this infuriating when i go to these meetings so i am glad im not attending. However i hope that there is a MASSIVE crowd in attendance, fingers crossed, and let hope its a good meeting with a great atmosphere and plenty of good racing to discuss for the fans afterwards. -
El Riders Championships
scousedave replied to Sandie's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Its a shame that the fans dont seem to be getting too optimistic or enthusiastic about these "Super 7 Series" matches, or whatever they are called. I hope that they are a success and the fans dig deep, get their wallet's out, and support the riders or clubs of their choice. At least Chapman has had a go at doing something about these events, they have been a bit rubbish in recent years. Also its a good move to allow children under 11 in free of charge and I hope we can look back on this series at the end of the year and say it was successful. -

No it was before the match and we were locked in a pub heaving with your typical football hooligan types, half of them were probably tooled-up, and as soon as the doors were opened again at about 1:10pm, we made a quick exit. -

HA HA HA HA HA. OH MY GOD YOUR SO, SO FUNNY!!! Oh my sides are splitting here, ha ha ha, never heard anything like it. Thats SOOOO original. Do you write your own material?? Are you a stand up comedian or something?? I mean, you must be... Surely!... Its not just anyone who could think up such a thing..... RIGHT?? On second thoughts, maybe not. -

I went there this year for the first time too, all the way from Liverpool via Manchester - BOTH WEEKENDS!!!! We had a great laugh though, the 4 of us (well 3 of us by the time the re-run came round). The weekend it was cancelled we ended up locked in The Prince Of Wales pub in Cardiff City Centre, surrounded by a bunch of football hooligans who were dying to get there hands on Tottenham Hotspur later that afternoon in the FA Cup. We quite rightly kept a low profile in there and we were quite relieved once the doors were freed open for us!! Phew! -

Yeah Simon was very impressive last night, he did well to shatter his own track record. -
Hey I like Kenneth but Simon has been great this year. Simon has definately improved alot this year and deserves his second heat leader status.
-
Its getting closer to Bydgoszcz. Can he make it 5 consecutive wins!!!
-
Well after another dodgy performance from Tomasz last night its going to take another special Bydgoszcz performance in the last round for him to make it into next years series! Can he do it? ... Will he do it!?!?
-
I just cannot understand for the life of me why World Speedway does not have a bigger and more varied International Calendar. Namely in the shape of a Test Series, as Cricket and Rugby Union do, and as Speedway itself had at one time. It would be better than having the World Cup yearly, which is being flogged to death due to it being run every year. Surely running it every 2 years at the least would be better.
-
Mateusz how sure are you of this? Obviously I want Jason Crump to win it but if he cant then I would really like to see Tomasz do it again!!! It would be a fantastic achievement.
