On the score chart alone, Charles seems to have worked overtime and continuing his early season form. 5 points or more from Josh and we could of taken a point at least. Now is that 2+2 and you're making 5 or is that a fact that he punched him with his helmet on?

King's Lynn Vs Somerset 5th April Premiership
Najjer replied to SomersetBlue's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Like you say, I've practically forgot what it's like for us to score any less than 40 points away from home as that's been a massive rarity over the last couple of years. Let's hope we keep it close at least. -
The word 'banned' isn't actually used - however, the following line 'In addition, we felt that given certain tragic events which took place in America last year, it would be insensitive of us to continue using the Confederate Flag as the club logo...' would lead me to think if I wanted to wave that flag around at a speedway track, it is not to be associated with Somerset speedway. So if as the promotion has clearly stated they no longer wish to be associated with that flag and given the reputation it has amongst some people, why would someone go to a speedway track and wave it about? Seems idiotic to me.

For what it's worth, I quite like our announcing team. Not boring at all, and do exactly what it says on the tin. Thumbs up from me!

The more worrying thing would probably be how poor Kurtz and Holder looked on a track they've ridden plenty of times, Kurtz especially. He looked like he'd never seen the place before.

It happened just over a year ago

So the meeting isn't actually until Saturday?

Wolves V Poole 27/3/17 + Poole V Wolves 29/3/17 Es.
Najjer replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
What I don't understand is that if the programme was printed wrong, surely they could of just got some inserts printed using the correct format? -
Pathetic from Kasprzak.
-
Where is Kasprzak good Friday? Even poorer show than not being there next Friday. Much the same as Andersen!

For what it's worth I think the Poole track always throws up some great racing. I've seen some great races there on the tele and in person too so there is no denying that. How well it's prepared I can't overly comment on though but they must be doing something right nine times out of ten to produce the racing it does - It's just a shame the one time out of 10 they got it wrong was one of the biggest meetings of the season. I quite often stand on the first bend when I go and you do see the riders near enough bounce around the first turn if they aren't aggresive enough. Looking forward to my visit for Somerset on Good Friday anyway!

The Darcy Ward Invitational 2017 - Poole
Najjer replied to MMX Events's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Just going to leave this comment here.... Track covers!! -
We have two Brits in our side already One also assumes King will replace Wolbert in the pairs next week.
-
Surely if Holder ends up missing meetings is no different to King missing meetings... whether it's for Ipswich or whoever. Bates' Championship side will get priority on his services once the season has begun if he doesn't have a Premiership side.

This Seasons Number 7s
Najjer replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Exactly - and if he does that it could prove to be a very shrewd move. -
This Seasons Number 7s
Najjer replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Graversen is starting the season on a 4.00 average - so is 2.00 more than most of the no.7s but not 2.50. -

Somerset won the league doing just that last year. Probably very few occasions the no.7 actually took all 4 rides. -

Najjer replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It's funny that the signing of Graversen was mocked initially, but people are now saying he's likely to be the best no.7 in the league. -
What is pathetic about it?

Peterborough V Coventry Challenge 19th Match 12pm
Najjer replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It's not a massive difference at all now, although there is obviously still a reasonable gap. It'll be interesting to see how Somerset get on away at Sheffield soon. -
Time For Brits First. No More Aussies To Uk Speedway.
Najjer replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I've often wondered this. When it all came up about the visa issues a couple of years now, about Aussie riders and the doubling up problems, why can they then go and ride for another team in Europe?? -
An example for a lot of clubs to follow - all matching perfectly with no mish mash of different colours and size logos. Very smart!
-
I always thought he was pretty garbage at the OTA, although it should suit him. I seem to recall him saying himself before he can't get his head around the place. He's probably just too quick! Nick Morris although he spent a few seasons riding for us still never got to grips with the track completely, so I wouldn't expect miracles from him.

I'd quite agree. One of the biggest draws of Somerset moving into the Premiership is that we now get to see the likes of Chris Holder, Jason Doyle etc etc on a regular basis - Imagine explaining to some newbie that Kings Lynn are at Somerset on Friday with one of the top riders in the world..... Except he isn't actually riding as he's otherwise engaged so can't make it! That will have a knock on effect on the crowd for sure.
