    Finnish News

What a shame for the lad! Which other Finns do you think could do a good job in the PL? Makinen struggle before, but with a bit more experience now do you think he would be better if given another chance?

Says in Speedway Star that Teemu Lahti could be on his way to join Tera at Scunthorpe. Be good to see him over here if this happens.

    The Next Viking Invasion

Hope you will announce details of the date thats reachable from London soon so i can start planning, begging, cajolling etc??
  4. Looks like i made the right choice with Rye House winning out over the rain in Tarnow(I've probably just cursed Hoddesdon tomorrow now!!)
  5. Was almost booked to go to this, until i remembered just before i booked that it clashed with Rye House tomorrow. Really wish i was there so i could see Gizatullin and karpov(2 of my missing top 5 i've not seen) but that would have meant missing two more of them at Rye(Andersson and Bjerre) and that is slightly closer to Bethnal Green than Tarnow!! Seen all the other riders on view, i think either of my 'newbies' could win, but depends which Zagar turns up and if Miskowiak fit yet. Hope it's a good stream, i'm sitting ready with my scorechart!!

    Smederna Wed 1st Sept(25th Aug)

Yeah they seemed to amble over while he was lying there motionless!!Who was it i've only just come in?
  7. Really pleased that Bryce is coming over. Just waiting now for confirmation on your date near to London!!
  8. Really good stuff i thought. One classic round the outside leg trailing win from Buzz, good stuff too from Steve Worrall. Marc and Joe had good returns from injury, Evans was a different man from when i last saw him at Bournemouth and congrats to Lee Strudwick, great performance.Another fine advert for NL racing.

Yes agree 100%,despite my stream often freezing, when it hs worked i've loved watching it and will try and come visit sometime soon. david
  10. The five remaining British riders i've yet to see all in one team, plus Buzz(Wrathall ain't bad too!!),what a prospect!! Add in Joe and Marc hopefully returning, two of my favourite young riders, and i would have gladly paid good money for this(Though dont tell Len or he might shake me down at the gate!!).

    The Next Viking Invasion

I hope one of the three dates yet to be announced includes a track a bit nearer to London than any of the three listed thus far?

    Smederna Wed 1st Sept(25th Aug)

What a difference a few days can make,he was really struggling at Nykoping on Saturday, thought he was going to injure himself or others as he was bucking all over the place!7 of these riders were on show,Joel larsson+Oliver Berntzon were the pick of the bunch.
  14. And with MJ Jensen thats a good 5 riders and dont forget Poole will have to lose probably 2 riders for 2011.At reserve Torun may well have the Pulczynski brothers, but in my never ending search for riders i haven't seen before i'm hoping the likes of Pietrykowski,Wojiechowski and Przedpelski come over!!

    Swedish Under 21 Semi

And it's that kind of thing that will hurry me along to the underworld!!!
  17. I know it's along way off,but i'm considering going to this with it being such an easy trip,so as soon as any details are known,re start time, riders etc i'd be gratefull if Johann or Anders could let me know then i will book my flights.
  18. Anyone elses stream just stop!
  19. Pleased for Artem, good to have another Russkie, though only seen him once in the flesh so not sure if he will be out of his depth or not, would have preferred his older bro, just because he's mad! Lindback too is probably a good addition, a complete enigma, but excellant on his day and always exciting to watch.I hope AJ and Zorro miss the top 8 and Lindgren now makes the top 8 thus allowing the classy Zolodziej to join them, though i still hope in vain that Harris will make the top 8 too and avoid the embarrasing British picks situation! If Karpov had qualified though then there would be a rider in the SGP series whom i haven't seen before and they would have guarenteed my attendance at at least one 2011 GP!!
  20. Loved watching these two teams in the league meeting earlier, and watching the stream brings all the passion back, but c'mon Gorzow, you gotta beat ZG!!

    Swedish Under 21 Semi

Back from this a few hours ago, was a good meeting eventually, after a long break after a massive rain storm hit during heat 1 proper, causing a 80 minute delay. When they got going again,Rosen,Ekloef and Messing walked away with it while most of the others had a good scrap for the top eight positions that qualified them for the final in Malilla.Apart from Henrik Karlsson, Hendersen and Tornblom who all looked very uncomfortable on the track, the rest all showed glimpses of quality. Sadly the forum fave Jacob Thorsell just missed out ina run off, so will be first reserve for the final. Only about 150-200 fans there, most of them family of the riders it seemed, but hell i enjoyed it.(Newport fans Mellgren struggled and didn't qualify!). Next stop in 4 weeks is the Danish under 21 final in Slangerup!
  22. Jensen was a lot better than ward has been in Poland, when i saw him at Torun earlier this year, and you could see with his style why he was so well liked by the crowds. As Mateusz says, check the stats before posting, for whatever reasons,Ward ain't quite made it in the worlds toughest league yet.

    Swedish Under 21 Semi

Just two days till this now, weather forecasts looking ok at the moment,so hopefully will be seeing plenty of new(To me)riders shortly. Especially looking forward to seeing Thorsell,Gudmondsson and Berntzon. If only those flights out of Stansted weren't so bleedin early!
  24. Tough luck, but at least US team appear to be coming to our neck of the woods,NL 4Team+NLRC both at Rye House and Lydd have another meeting, so just need Team Viking to schedule a meeting within an hours drive of East London and there will at least be a positive end to the viewing season!!
